HI Ho! Hi Ho! it's back to WDW I go!! a PTR! *completed*

Your not scaring anyone!! I love that pic with tink! I'm hoping to get some of those neat shoots in January! We've never done it! Even with 15 million photopass pics!

I'm wondering about the other who too...

I love the pic of you and Tink!! It's soo cute and you take great pics!!! Looking forward to the next update....and the person you're referring to that may be possibly joining you is ME, right!!!:confused3 Remember, I'm coming in your suitcase!!!!:rotfl:

Subbing! I really enjoyed your last trip report and you are allowing me to indulge my fantasy of a solo trip.

Are you going alone again? I can't wait to find out. I guess that answers the question of whether you would do it again or not!

Paula-

First of all - congratulations on getting your dates in Feb at SSR. You will like it. It's so pretty. It looks huge when you first enter, but then you realize that everything is reasonably close. I really like the Congress Park section with the view of DTD. I also think the new area - the Grandstand - is pretty nice.

Secondly - I did not realize you were a pharmacist. Nice schedule! I am sure you are a good pharmacist. The pharmacy department at the hospital I work at often drives me CRAZY! They are having serious mismanagement issues. eg. 3 hours to get an Amiodarone drip the other day! Totally unacceptable.:scared1: (Plus the nurse should have called again - her fault, too) They are also supposed to be doing all our Coumadin teaching and smoking cessation counseling - Not! I call them every day to remind them to see my patients. I finally said, "If you can't provide this service, I will do it myself, bring me your materials". Then they started to do it, but have slacked off again. OK - enough ranting.

Anyway - looking forward to hearing about your next solo trip!

Well I'm seriously 2nd guessing this trip. I know that the price can't be beat, the problem is the 'intangibles' at home.

February is smack in the middle of gymnastics season. DD7 is a competitive gymnast, which pretty much means we are travelling...alot...throughout the winter months.

Here's few pics of my "future olympian 2020":goodvibes

Pretty much every weekend I'm off work, from December until May...is tied up with meets. She practices alot too (too much I think at times, but I've been assured that its 'normal' to practice 16hrs a week at her level:sad2: )
Anywhoo...that's my dilemma, I already see my DH and other 2 kids so sporatically thruout the season, I feel bad about taking some extra time away from them, that I don't HAVE to. Well, it's sorta my problem, the kids know I'm thinking to go..they're all very fine with it.

Allison's gym is discussing attending the "Magical Meet"...in Orlando, the SAME week I'm already booked. That makes Allison my "mystery who". If they decide to go.... it solves my dilemma...because I'll now HAVE to go! It would be alot of fun to go with just Allison. She is a very sweet, mostly;) unspoiled child. We get along famously. She's still little enough (7) that I'm still the greatest Mom in the world. My older 2 kids are well aware that I'm not:lmao:

Well I'm still working under the assumption that this is a solo trip, so that's how I set up my ADRs. Right now this is how they are looking. If Allison goes with me... I'm going to make some changes.

Tuesday...arrival day....no ADRs

Wednesday... Dinner at Maya Grill at CSR. I really like the sound of several items on the menu. I think Allison will like this one too.

Thursday... Late lunch (2pm) at Coral Reef. I've never been here before. If Allison comes, I'll keep this one too. I think that my DS will like it, so I want to try it out prior to his trip in July.

Friday.... Currently, Dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse. Which sounds fabuous to me...I love me some filet! However, this is a definate casualty if Allison comes along. She'd enjoy it, I'm sure, but it appears that the last few years, compulsory levels at this meet competed on Friday...so no dinner plans, if that's the case!

Saturday...assuming I'm solo....I'm going home. If Allison comes along, I'll probably stay til Sunday instead.

Well that's it for now. I finally get to go see Twilight tonite, with one of my best girlfriends. I REALLY wanted to see it opening nite, but I had to work this past week...Booooo!!!

I am a bit nervous about how big it is... I'll figure it out though:goodvibes

Sorry that you have so much trouble with you Rx dept. I'm sure that 1/2 the nurses at my hospital would say the same thing:sad2: I don't know the solution. I do know that when I'm there, there are very few issues with nursing...but that's because I'm doing pretty much Everything myself...580 bed hospital...only 1 overnite RPh. But since I know what's going on ie who needs what and how quickly ...I can follow up fast. During the day, we have 30 RPhs and techs running around...one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. That what causes the delays at my hospital... 1 person is entering orders, but other ones are responsible for prep, and yet someone else for delivery:sad2: ...too many places where a break can occur...ya know??
It's one of the biggest reasons I went to overnites....I'm a bit of a control freak!! It's the only way that I have a hand in EVERYTHING that's going on in my dept from order reciept to delivery. I've heard that it's a big issue at other hospitals too...not just yours and mine. Hopefully yours is a staffing issue, which can be resolved.

Paula

I hope everything works out for Feb!!! I know all about second guessing!!! I've been 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc. our grownups only trip in March since the day we decided to go!!!

Your DD is adorable!!! She looks just like you!!!

Another trip? Cool! What a lucky girl you are! I'm so jealous, even though I'm heading there solo in a couple of weeks. I'm beginning to wish I would have waited until later in the winter, though, Minnesota winters can be brutal.

Loved your last TR, can't wait to read more :)

I think all Dis'ers are probably control freaks to some extent. I know I am, too. That's why, as much as I like taking time off, I hate when someone else does my job while I'm away. I come back and go :scared1:

Love the pictures of your daughter - she is so cute. Hope she does get to travel the same week as you - very convient.

p.s. Happy Thanksgiving!

Your DD is so precious! I love that she is a gymnast, how cool! I hope she gets to go with you, I think it would be great for a mother daughter trip. :goodvibes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!

I booked my airfare today... it went up since yesterday:headache:
So instead of it being $189 its $201.... I can live with the $12 extra. I was afraid to let it creep up higher than that though.

The general thought at Allison's gym last night was that they aren't going to go the the Orlando Meet. Thats not for sure, the coaches aren't the ones talking. I think there's too much concern with the other parents RE: the economy and coming up with the $$ over Christmas to make the trip. Several of the parents have been laid-off over the past couple months. I live in a rather economically depressed area as it is, with a higher than average unemployment rate BEFORE all the current economic garbage hit. I'm the only crazy person that was going to WDW that week anyway:rotfl:

So I'm booked to go. I'd rather add Allison at a higher fare later, if needed, rather than pay more for 2 fares!

I'd still love to take Allison, meet or not...but I think that will put my older 2 right off the deepend! They are both pretty jealous of her, since we travel so much with gymnastics, as it is. I can't blame them really... most of her meets are overnighters, so we eat out and stay at hotels and stuff. Not to mention all the 1 on 1 time with me. I'd be happy to take the other kids along to the meets, but they'd rather have bamboo splinters shoved under their fingernails, than sit thru the actual competitions!!

So I think, to keep the peace, that I'll just be going by my own self..again.

I told DH this morning that I was booking my flight, since the $$ is starting to creep up. I told him to "speak now if he doesn't want me to go...or forever hold his peace!" He looked up from his PS3 game he was playing, and said "book it before it goes any higher!" :thumbsup2

So even though I'm still a little torn about taking this trip... I'm going anyway! Booking the flight was the BIG thing,,, the ONLY thing that costs me $$ before I get there. Until I got my flight in order, it seemed much easier to cancel the whole thing. Now it's...

Set in STONE!!

Well where in tarnation have I been??? I knew you were contemplating the Feb trip but somehow your PTR escaped me! :scared1:

:flower3: I am here now ready for some Disney planning. I loved the photos of your beautiful family. I'm not sure I could manage your schedule but 28 weeks in which to vacation (or attend gymnastics meets) sounds pretty cool! I am a bit of a control freak too (imagine!) so totally get the allure of having complete control of your dept on the night shift.

Your ADRs sound great. I can't wait to hear about Maya Grill. It sounds good to me too! I'm also anxious to hear about Coral Reef. I haven't eaten there since ~1990 when I was there with my high school band (nerd alert!!). We thought we were so adult dining there. I remember my high school beau sprinting to the phone center by spaceship earth where you made reservations. Ahh... memories! :goodvibes And Yachtsman I have been DYING to try.

Sorry for arriving so late... next time just smack me and tell me to get my patootie over here!

Can't wait for more planning! The holidays will go by so fast, February will be here before we know it. And how nice to look forward to WDW in the middle of the yucky winter! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the airfare! You're right though, now you HAVE to go. Oh darn. ;) I understand the travel thing with gymnastics. My youngest DD is in competetive cheer, and although she doesn't travel as much as you probably do, we do travel. She has cheer 2x week, tumbling 2x week, stunt and hip hop 1x each per week. It's crazy busy at our house. You're daughter looks like she is very good at gymnastics. I hope to see her in the Olympics someday.
We also have sibling jealousy in our house. Drives me NUTS :scared:

omg i love the rudolph, 2xcited2sleep! He's so adorable!

Your ADRs sound great, Paula! i'm so glad your trip is etched in something at least ;)

I HAVE been wondering why you weren't posting:lmao: It didn't dawn on me that you hadn't stopped over:rotfl: Thanks for the compliments on the family... I think they're all pretty cute too:cutie: I can't believe that you haven't been to 2 of my 3 ADR choices!! I;m still thinking about trying to squeeze in Chefs de France...for lunch. I'd like to try it out... and I don;t think any of the rest of my clan would be too inclined:confused3

I'm avoiding competitive cheer...like the plague!!! We have a pretty decent all star team, who I'm sure would love a 7 yo that has her front/back handsprings and tucks....but I really don;t want to get sucked into it. I cheered in HS myself... and I think regular gymnastics is SAFER!! They do some seriously crazy stuff... but I think that they are better trained than the local allstar cheer teams train their girls.... at least we have far fewer injuries:goodvibes Our allstar cheer team probably travels as much (or at least close) to what we do....so I'm feeling for YOU!!!

She plans to go to the Olympics in 2020.... just ask her about it:lmao:
I think that she's a bit overconfident...but her coach is a 3 time national champ... and was phenomenal, until she just got tired of all the physical stress and gave it up. So at least Allison has someone who knows the ropes really well, leading the way:thumbsup2

Hi Sare!!!

I'm thinking I'll be at MK on Friday til my Yachtsman ADR.... interested????

Paula

I just got off the telly with WDW-DINE. I decided to cancel my Coral Reef Ressie. I switched the day of Yachtsman from Friday to Tuesday. And added Mama Melrose's on Friday.

Why??? Do you ask???

Well... the nighttime Fireworks/parades have been DECIMATED for February:scared1:

I knew that WDW was going to cut them back... but get this, Illuminations is ONLY on Weds 2/4... and Spectro is ONLY on Thurs 2/5.... Fantasmic is ONLY on Friday 2/6!!

All the shows are down to 1 or at most 2 days/week. The AK parade is not scheduled AT ALL while I'm there either... I planned to see it too:sad1:

I got 2 chances for Wishes, Thurs and Fri.... but with Fantasmic on Friday only... that puts my only Wishes opportunity on Thursday:sad2:

So my schedule is now being dictated by which shows I HAVE to see...vs which ones I feel I can skip. I'm quite put out about it.

As those of you who followed my last TR know, Fantasmic is my favorite nitetime show, followed by Wishes. So those 2 are definately being worked into my plans. I missed Fantasmic in October, and have really bummed about it since. My original Yachtsman ADR was Friday at 5:35... I didn't think there was any way I could make it to DHS for 7pm Fantasmic. Fortunately, Yachtsman has oodles of ADR times available for Tuesday...my arrival day.

My next post, I'm going to put up a rough itinerary plan. I'll tell you now, 4 days is NOT enough... I wish I had added an extra day. But my AP expires on 2/6... so if I'd have stayed on til 2/8, I would have had to renew for the 7th, skipped the parks, or paid for a 1 day tix.... I didn't like any of those options. I want to get my new AP when we go in July... so that I'm good til 7/2010 right before DH and I go to Alaska, giving me more time to squeeze in another trip:thumbsup2
