Hi everyone :wave2: I am back after being away for 16 days at Mickey's place! We had a brilliant trip. We were able to spend lots of time with DH's family, so my DD's were thrilled. We ate at some great places, which I won't go into in great detail (too tempting!! :teeth: ) I am now exhausted, we were travelling for 19 hours

Before we went on out trip I decided that I was going to eat like I will want to do when I get down to my goal weight. I have never been able to manage this before. I have lost weight several times before, but everytime something got in the way, for example the holidays or vacation (I would use this as an excuse to eat everything that I had not eaten while I was trying to lose weight, and then afterward I could never get back on my POA) and I would never get down to my goal weight. Anyway this time, thanks to WISH I was determined that I was going to do it. I was going to eat more or less what other people were eating, but I was going to watch my portions, and not stuff my face at every given opportunity. I feel that I was successful I ate great food, but I only really ate when I was hungry. I didn't eat lots of snacks and most of the time I stopped eating my meal when I was full. Which was difficult sometimes,a s we went to several all you can eat buffets!! Anyway after 16 days, I weighed myself this morning and I have put on just 1lb which I am really happy with. It is also TOM and judging by the size of my ankles I must be retaining a lot of fluid, so I'm hoping for a nice loss next week.

I am now hoping to find time to catch up on what has been going on here at WISH while I was gone. Right now I have to finish unpacking and start getting ready for Christmas!!

WOW, that is wonderful news, you are only showing a 1# gain and you know that you are retaining fluid. You will for sure have a loss next week. I find that even if it's not TOM, I retain fluid when I travel.

It sounds like you went on vacation with a plan and you were able to maintain. You should be proud of yourself for being able to step away from a buffet and not continue to fill your plate. You did a great job.

Have a wonderful day.:sunny:

I'm very impressed. 16 days with the Mouse, and only 1# gained. :jumping1:

It sounds like your trip was wonderful. Wow 16 days and only 1 pound gained is great. It also sounds like you were balanced with your eating plan. I will have to remember that when I go to Disney in the spring.

Welcome back Catherine - glad you had fun!! Only 1lb up - you did SO well - good for you!!

Welcome back, Catherine. Sounds like you did great and had a wonderful holiday.

If you are only showing a 1 pound gain and it is TOM then I'll bet you actually lost weight on vacation. That's great!

I agree with Katholyn! I bet after you lose that TOM and flight/travel water, you will see you actually lost while you were on vacation!!

Welcome back and congrats on a job well done! :bounce:

It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday, Catherine!

And it sounds like you did a GREAT job eating like you'll be able to for the rest of your life. You can teach lessons now!:D

We want to hear details of your wonderful trip once you get your bearings!::MickeyMo

Glad you had a great time on vacation!! One pound on vacation??? That is excellent and as Kath said, I am sure you probably lost weight!! Wonderful news!!
