Hello, fellow DISers...
We got in late last night after flying from Ohio. We were flying over a huge rain storm and when we were descending we saw lightning storms over north Florida, but Orlando was dry albeit muggy.
Got to Wilderness Lodge and we saw that the lights are all still tied up, and several sandbags were still by the back doors waiting. We're watching the weather reports and it seems like Ivan will take a turn to the Gulf. Let's hope that's true. Floridians definitely need a break.
Spoke to some CMs here and so far the ones I've talked to have faired well. Fort Wilderness is still closed, the RVs and campers have been moved to Port Orleans. Trail's End is also closed at this time and due to open next week on Monday.
Went to Cape May breakfast this morning and it wasn't crowded at all. We were the first ones seated at 7:35am and by the time we left at 8:30 it was still only 1/4 full.
We got to the International Gateway of Epcot when Picantel (DH) found out he'd forgotten to bring the APs!!!! What?????? Are you crazy???? So here we are, so close but yet so far. So we headed back to WL, then got on a bus and went back to Epcot.
Epcot was empty. At 10:00 we were able to walk on Test Track, Mission Space and Universe of Energy. This is our first time on Mission Space and after the ride, we had it. We didn't barf, but we were kinda queasy for a while.
Went to eat lunch at Le Cellier. Again another firsts for us and I have to say, it's very very good! Love the pretzel bread, the asian shrimp cocktail and the overall ambience.
So, now we're back at WL, enjoying a little rest while the kids nap before we head out again tonight.
We're having fun here, and I hope I'll see some DISers this time. For all Floridians - stay safe - and for all the DISers out there, adios for now and hope you guys have a great day too.
