I went to HHN during the employee's preview last night and had a BLAST! We were able to do six of the seven houses with PsychoScareapy - Maximum Madness the only one we missed due to the timing. This year's HHN will be busy every night if last night was any indication although it wasn't bad at all since it was employees and guests. I'll rank my favorite houses in order of preference:

1. ScreamHouse - Resurrection (AWESOME theming and lots of blood!)
2. All Nite Die In - Take 2 (GREAT theming and lots of scares along the way)
3. Run - Hostile Territory (VERY GOOD theming, pretty loud but fun)
4. Dungeon of Terror - Retold (Good theming..I was the first one in the house)
5. PsychoPath - The Return of Norman Bates (Theming wasn't bad..kinda reminded me of Disorientorium from two years ago. The queue is insanely long)
6. People Under the Stairs - Under Construction (I thought this was the worst house BUT I want to see it again once the lights are off and the effects are in full swing)

Again...we didn't to PsychoScareapy - Maximum Madness but heard great things about it from others.

I liked all the scare zones with Harvest of the Souls being my favorite...very creepy. The Sweet 16 - The Director's Cut show was great and Bill and Ted's was PACKED for every show last night. We tried twice and were turned away.

Overall...I would say this is much better than last year's event and will be VERY crowded every night so the EP is definately suggested.

The best surprise of the evening came when we went to Louie's for dinner and they served salad, two slices of pizza, cookie and drink for FREE!!!!!!! My friend knew Brice (The Caretaker from 2002) so we ate with him and had a great time talking about HHN over the years.

So......go and have a GREAT time! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Reading your review makes me look forward to HHN even more! Thank you so much for posting! I've got my tickets & EP's, I'm all set! :teeth:

I can't wait to go!!!! I am looking forward to Screamhouse, PsychoScareapy and All Night Die In.

Hearing comparisons to Disorientorium has shot Psychopath from the bottom to towards the top of my most anticipated list.

Sarcasm?

Honestly? No.

I know I was in the vast minority, but I loved Disorientorium. It was week the first week or so of HHN14, but it vastly improved (IMO) as the month progressed).

But, Cold Blind Terror was awful, so I hope Pscyhopath is more Diso and less CBT.

Erm... CBT was basically a longer version of Diso.

I disagree.

CBT consisted of long dark congested hallways with drop doors with occassional variations like floating ghost hallway, or roller blading scareactor hallway, or foam that is hardly ever on hallway, and then ended with a long black and white room.

Diso had much more variety, imo. The Tunnel, the inflatable walls, the black and white room, the mirrior "maze" paint splot rooms, the final hallway with the scareactors with the airblowers, and the floor drop hallway.

I thought Diso was executed a lot better than CBT was.

My least favorite houses were Run and People under the Stairs. PsychoScareapy was my favorite! This year looks like it will be a great year for HHN. I too missed Bill and Ted as it was full each time I went. I also ate at Louie's. Sorry I missed you, Metro.

Nice TR. Wow, B&T packed for every show. Looks like I'll have to get there 45 minutes early before they let people in.

Well it was employee preview and the team members are always excited about B&T. They only did 3 shows for the employee preview also.

I didn't know if you were going to the preview or we would have made plans. My friend Rita stopped by L & F to see a friend of hers and I asked Paula if you were working. We'll definately get together next weekend when I go again. :teeth:

We are going tomorrow night which is early for us. Usually I have time to read the in depth reviews before we go but can one of you tell me please........

Which houses (if any) are really bad with the strobes? I can handle the ones here and there as most houses have some but if I know there is a long sequence coming up I can handle it better by knowing it's time to close the eyes :thumbsup2 So far there's not been an entire house like that but I would have to pass if it were the case.

TIA!

Do you know how the "crossover" from IOA to HHN worked out? Family is going Sat. and wondered if they let folks from IOA in early if they have HHN ticket? If so, where do you wait to get into HHN? Thanks!

From what I've heard, the Stay and Scream area in IOA is over beside One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Otherwise, you'll have to wait in line in front of the Studios archway. Don't worry...you'll know you're in the right place when you see the mass of people.

I only did four of the seven houses. Of all the houses that I did. All of them were pretty bad with the strobe.
I did.
1. All Nite Die-in 2
2. PhyscoScarapy
3. People under the stairs
4. Physco Path

I didn't get a chance to check out the others.

Bill and Ted was alright this year.
