Hey everyone! Our HHN trip is this weekend and I was hoping for advice on a plan of attack to get the most houses done with least amount of waiting in line. Our date is this Sunday, 10/19. We plan to get Express passes and do our traditional S&S at Finnegans. Is AvP the first house to open closest to Finnegans? Any tips on which order we should do houses to get them done most efficiently? :confused3

AVP and Dracula Untold are the two houses for that holding area.

Since you will have Express, I wouldn't worry too much about the order of the houses.

I would suggest doing the soundstage houses first then go to the ET area and work your way around until you get to Giggle and Gore which is behind the Beetlejuice theater.

Thanks Metro. This is the first year we have gone on a Sunday. I am reading how bad the crowds are and want to fit it all in. ::yes:: Last year we followed the tips here and it worked beautifully! We got to Finnegans too late and didn't get a seat, but I don't mind drinking standing up. :rotfl:

I wanted to line up for Walking Dead because I'm reading that house and Halloween have the longest waits and they are the two we want to see most, but now I'm torn if I should start with AVP since it opens first! Decisions, decisions! Thanks for the help! I appreciate it!

Actually, other than the first weekend, only AVP is opening initially for those in S&S at Finn's. Dracula Untold does not open until 6:30. However, this past weekend they changed the opening time for TWD to 6:00 which is great except that going through that early messes up the strobe effects for the ending scene.

There was also an adjustment to the opening time for Halloween and that house is now opening immediately when they release S&S.

If you're set on using Finn's for your S&S location, I think you'd be okay doing AVP, getting in line for TWD before the crowds descend and after that heading straight back to Halloween. This SHOULD give you the best chance of minimizing your wait times for the 3 houses that tend to draw the largest crowds. You could try AVP, Halloween and then TWD but I'd be concerned because when the masses start entering the park, most head straight for TWD so I think you'd be more efficient going AVP, TWD, Halloween.

Thank you soooo much! Yes we are set on Finn's, it's a tradition, and my hubby loves his traditions. If we weren't celebrating our anniversary I'd push harder for the Duff holding area. ;)

I think I like the AVP, TWD, Halloween plan since it's opening earlier than I thought. TWD and Halloween are the two houses we are most looking forward to. Thank you again for the input. This is why I love the Dis Darkside! :thumbsup2

Wanted to pop in and thank you both again. Your advice worked perfectly! The only hiccup was when they released us at Finnegans they didn't open TWD, but we were caught up in the mass mob moving toward it and before we knew it we were stuck in the mob for TWD. We did TWD, then AVP, then Halloween. I was really surprised they didn't let us line up for TWD and instead made us stand like a huge mob in the street. They opened it 15 minutes after our Finns release.

I will never, ever, ever, ever again, go to HHN without Express! This is the first year we could really enjoy being there without having to run from house to house. We aren't big into the shows so we were left with plenty of time to stop in Finnegans a few times. ;) We didn't wait any longer than 15 minutes for a house the whole night! This year was the best we have ever had. Partly because it was our anniversary and partly the houses. ;) Halloween and TWD were definite favorites! Can't wait for next year!! :goodvibes
