HHN lawsuit...can you believe this?????

This was in the paper today about the 2007 HHN event...all I can say is...unbelieveable!

First off who is ICC?Second if they were only in talks that means no contract was signed wright?
All this in a downward spiriling economy is to ironic.Universal-New line-Warner Bros and NBC will make them look like a joke when its all done!!!!!!!

Seriously? Suing someone over stealing your work product is a joke? Fortunately, the law doesn't say that. And you don't need a contract to sue someone for stealing your work product. It's called intellectual property, you own it and it's protected. Just like you don't need a contract to sue someone for stealing your money out of your wallet.

Why wait so long? Something called a statute of limitations. It gives people time to try to work out their differences so they don't go to court. It also gives them an opportunity to do a more thorough investigation so that they have enough proof that when they file the suit, they don't get hit with sanctions for filing a baseless claim.

In other words, this is the way the law works. I don't understand why people would automatically think that the claim is without merit.

I agree. From what I've read I thik Universal has some concerns here and I am sure this will be settled out of court without much more publicity.
