We are going on opening wknd (9/27 Saturday) with a few questions:

1) Will the crowd level this early (but still a Saturday) be quite high? or is it more manageable since it is still Sept?
2) Would we need to purchase EP tix in your opinion?
3) We have park tix's already from previous trip and plan to park hop during the day - Is it best to buy HHN tix or can we add to our existing tix & is one way cheaper?
4) Do we have to be concerned about this night 9/27 selling out for HHN tickets or can we wait to see if any deals come along?
5) Are the resturants packed on this night or is everyone more working the houeses etc vs dining (8 or 9pm time frame)?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions

hi sulley, read thru some of the prior threads about hhn and see others opinions

it will help answer your questions.

opening night is always crowded.

the ffp is valid on that peak night.

the media usually clears out by 9:30 which helps the entrance area.

Hi, we went opening night last year and it was pretty crowded, with houses having over an hour wait later in the night. The express pass would be a must for me.

Not sure about the restaurants as we spent all our time in the houses and shows.

We will also be there opening weekend. We are going fri and sat nights. We bought express for sat. figured what we didn't get to see fri we could get to on sat. I just can't wait :hyper:

i hear ya.
i go 4 nights in a row since i am from out of town.

i try to see team A and team B in action in each of the houses.

some of the scareactors really put a lot of themselves into the character
and make it great for all of us!

whenever universal allows the FFP holders admittance on a peak night, it gets crowded.
if you are local and only paying $69.99 for the non peak nights and opening night, wouldn't you take advantage of it and go as much as possible?

and if you have the ap, free parking.....

parking after 6 is also a deal.

i buy the epp for each night if i need it or not.

back in 2000, i do say it was a waste of money but they only were about $20 or less back then per night.

That's definately the way to do it. I'll be there opening night with EP in hand.
