I just purchased my frequent fear pass. Even though I only plan on going Sept 24th and 25th it still seemed best way to go. Anyways the TM was giving me the hard sell on the express passes. This being the first weekend as well as the only days I will be there, is the express pass needed?

When I was there last year, we went on the Thursday during the second week. Lines were manageable for the first hour and we got a lot done, but after that it was necessary to use the express to avoid over an hour wait for most houses. I would buy the express for one night and the next day just redo the houses that were your favorites. Also, don't use your express pass right away, in the beginning of the night most of the houses have a 15 to 20 minute wait and you can use the express to go through them again later in the evening when the lines are much longer.

Are you doing S & S those nights? That will help get through several houses before the lines get long. Since you're going two nights, you shouldn't need to purchase the EP.

Okay, I still get a little confused about the stay and scream. Since we have our tickets (me an AP) and also have the FFP, do I need anything else or just to stay in the park holding area untill HHN opening?

Nope, this will be my third consecutive year attending HHN on opening weekend. In two days, you can get all done, but should be inside the park to get an early start. If you have a ticket, you can stay inside the holding area. I will get the express pass but thats only because I want to do each house twice, both Friday and Saturday.

Since you already have your day tickets/passes, all you need is the HHN ticket. Once the park closes, you will be directed to the holding area where you can hang out until released.

Metro, just to be clear, so my Frequent fear pass as well AP or regular ticket is all I will need? If I do decide to get express pass which night would you recommend Sept 24th, 25th, or both?

Yes...you need two tickets to do S & S. You need your day ticket which is your AP to get you into the park during the day and the FFP. You can only do S & S if you're in the park before closing and your AP will take care of that. Once the park is closed, you will need to head to one of the holding areas where your FFP will be scanned...then you are all set for the evening.

I would recommend the EP for Saturday night since it will be busier than Friday. You can do four houses before needing the EP so do what you can Friday night and then come back and see the rest Saturday night.

Thanks, I finally get it. My wife and I are just really looking forward to our first HHN and want to have everything in order.
