HHI reservations cancelled

Our reservations for this weeks HHI have been cancelled and our points were returned without penalty. DVC is great in this regards. I don't know about other timeshares, but I would imagine that most would not be so accommodating.

We had to leave on Tuesday by noon, which is when the resort was shutting down from what we were told. Our remaining points were returned to us for the unused nights.

We had a week scheduled at our timeshare on Marco Island last year about three weeks after Irma hit the island. They refunded our maintenance fee for the week. Actually, credited the fee to the next years maintenance fee. It took them about six weeks to reopen for business.

We had to cancel a rather long Vero/WDW trip last year in September. Problem was trying to find availability to use the returned points because so many people had to do a make-up trip. Ended up with some 1 bedrooms, rather than the Studios we wanted.
