HHI Breakfast Place Recommendations

Love to start the day with a yummy breakfast. Can anyone recommend some good places not too far from the resort?

We just got back from spring break and had a great time. We discovered the Plantation Cafe on a previous trip and it proved excellent a second time. About a 5 minute drive from resort. It has great food, big menu, great service, and is very reasonably priced. They apparently have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/plantationcafe.

OK, this one will be on this list! I saw a little of the menu on Facebook. Looks yummy and reasonable.

Stacks is just down the street (go towards Sea Pines, look to the right next door to the Red Roof Inn). There's also Signe's Bakery (but mostly pastry, no eggs), but it's not as close. I crave the fresh fruit pancakes at Stacks.

I'll enthusiastically 2nd both Stacks and Signe's. Stacks has a HUGE menu, with all combinations of eggs, pancakes, sides, etc, etc, etc. It was so difficult to choose that I ate there 3x in a week. It's been 2 1/2 years since we were there, but I recall having delicious shrimp and grits with fruit at Signe's ... and the french toast looked wonderful. It's primarily a bakery, but did have some hot breakfast options.

Should add that this was the one and only time I've eaten shrimp and grits, so have nothing to compare them to, but really enjoyed them.

We like Sunrise Cafe at Palmetto Bay Marina.

BTW: The island just saw the opening of Dunkin Donuts on the north end.
