We had another wonderful vacation at HHI. This year we braved taking all 3 of our 5 yr. olds together. Our only problem was at the beach house and it was really annoying. We went up to eat at Signals, all the tables were full except two pushed together and the one next to it. We needed 5 chairs, and asked the lady if we could use one of the six chairs and she said no. We had a $45.00 lunch order. She was sitting at the empty table cross stitching - none of the six were in sight, nor did they eat the entire time we were there. DH said she was there all day, and the same next day. Fortunately another family gave us a chair. DH and I wondered if saving tables all day to lounge was becoming common practice at HH.....and should the tables around Signals be designated for eating only.........not poolside lounging. Again, it was as always a wonderful vacation

my last trip to HHI, a very loud and annoying family to begin with, made sure they had the table near the water slide ladder. What they did was this......it still makes me sick to think about it, and I will never be able to use that table again.

They both set their feet on the table and clipped their toenails.

I would hate to see the room that they left.

Yikes! We are going to HHI in 3 days, and I hope this does not happen! I would have told the lady, "look, we are going to use your chairs to eat, and when your
group comes back, we will give our chairs up!" What- You would take 30 min to eat?? I doubt they came back in 30 min, so problem solved!!

People are so D... RUDE these days! I am too old to put up with it anymore, I just speak my language now days, I put up with it for 48 years, I won't be nice anymore........

Well, being with 5 yr. old grandkids we decided not to pick the battle of taking one of her chairs. No, I doubt if 6 people sat down at one time. We stayed on the beach for most of the time and had lovely neighbors in the beach chairs to the left and right. The family to the left was from Greenville, with boys 24, 19, 18 and 14. The boys were extremely nice and interacted with our kids at times (they were gone alot golfing, etc.) This cancelled out our BH experience. And again, our trip was wonderful. We see some of the same families every year from all over the East Coast. The grandkids are old enough to enjoy the resort activities. The Disney staff are wonderful with kids and remembered ours by name ....I think having very talkative kids that included a set of twin girls did the trick :dance3: . We did add a dolphin excursion........it was so cool...expensive.....we were the only family in the boat and we saw 3 mommy dolphins and babies. We are leaving for a two week stay at OKW to recoup from the beach vacation.

This happened to me during a family ski trip in Tahoe last year. I finally found a spot to sit on the floor to eat with my kids. At that point an asian lady who was just "keeping" a table all day long while her family skiied let me use it to eat. At least a tiny bit more polite than the lady at Signals. Sheesh!
