On a whim, I called today about availability of a 1 BR at Hilton Head June 14 - 16 or June 19 - 23. As I suspected, no availability at all, but I asked to be put on a waitlist for each night, hoping that if either week had a cancellation I would get at least two days back to back. This was about 11:00am this morning.
About 4:00pm the phone rang. I already have one of the nights!!!! June 14 opened up, so now I am hopeful that something good will happen and I will get to spend a few days at the beach instead of at home while my children are at camp. Yippee!!!
