HH - Tommy's Treasure

Does anyone know the status of Tommy's Treasure on Hilton Head?

The last thread I remember reading was that it no longer was in existence (exhausted and not replaced by boorish people)! Don't want to take my DD's on a treasure hunt if it doesn't exist.

I was there in OCt of last year.... No treasure to be found, but then again we could have just miss read the clues....

My girlfriend and I did the hunt before the kids, so we could help them out and not look stupid. We didnt find the treasure but then again we thought we messed up, so we figured we were stupid and we would let the kids lead us to it. It wasnt there BUT we had one heck of a fun time looking for it. So I would still go on it, maybe bringing a new treasure set up (We had something to put in the treasure box, but there was no box to be found, so if your game, set up another one! )

At worse case it will be replinished next week.

Why not take DDs on the Treasure Hunt and leave a treasure behind for the next person?

It can be just as much fun to follow the clues as to find the actual treasure! (Not to mention the great feeling of not being one of those "boorish" people...)

We will be there starting Sunday. Want to coordinate and replenish the treasure?

I had in mind maybe $5 in dollar coins, with the hope that people would replenish or put something else in. We would need to get another container.

As of late September it was still there. We did the "hunt" with the kids - it took a couple of tries, but we found the treasure. At that time, there were a couple Chuckie Cheese tokens and a couple pretend treasure coins in the box. We left them behind for someone else to find. The hunt was fun, though, and I had tried to e-mail Tommy to let him know how much we enjoyed it, but my e-mails kept coming back undeliverable.
