We have been quite a few times in Dec. Twice for the week of xmas-ny and (DS was 6 and 8) the weather varied form 60's one year to 30'-40's the other. Our DS swam in heated pools when it was 60's but we just walked the beach and enjoyed the non-Boston Dec. There are tons of kids and adults activites. We had peppermint candy ice cream making, southern snowball fights(with white socks!), kids night out with movie and pizza, cookies and stories, campfire, marsh explorations, goofy bingo, adult crafts (gel painting) and many water activites including kayaking and dolphin cruises. We have stopped for one night on the way home from WDW for NYE the last 2 years and just enjoyed making our own dinner and snacks and watching football! I love the resort off season. NYE has kids party for young ones and teenagers. New Years Day we had oyster roast one year at the beach house, but the last 2 NYE we just stayed for the night and had our own NYE and then started home on the 1st.
