HH at 7 months - Easter

Has anyone tried booking a 2 BR at HH for Easter week? We would probably arrive that day. I'm just wondering if it's even a possibility. I wish the site would let you check availability further out. Even though I know I can't book until 7 months, I'd rather know now if it's all booked up and make other plans.

For Easter week 2013, April 20-27, HH, except for a GV, was open exactly seven months out but some days during Easter week in all room categories disappeared the same day, indicating that not that much was open 7 months out.

In 2011, we booked several days at Easter, arriving Good Friday. When we got airfare and tried to call back to make adjustments a few weeks later, the week before Easter we had to wait list, but after Easter was no problem. So if you're talking about arriving Easter Day, I'd say there's a good chance for availability.

Yes, I think we will make some college visits in Virginia and the Carolinas on the way down, so we would probably arrive Easter Sunday.

For 2013, we booked a 2BR on cash for Sat-Sun (Easter) and then points for Mon-Thu. At the 7 month mark, I had enough points to try and get Sunday on points, but by the time I called at noon, it was booked and I had to waitlist. It took about 2 more months, but it did eventually fill. I was holding my breath! I was so mad at myself for not setting my alarm and getting up at 8am because, as an HHI owner, I could see that the 2BR was available right up until I went to bed the night before.

I'm wondering what the 7-month window will bring for a studio this year (2015). We are tentatively planning to go to WDW for the first weekend of May, hoping that they have the EE challenge for one more year. If they don't, we'd like to use those points for a studio at HHI over spring break (April 5-10) instead. Unfortunately, I don't think they will announce it or open the registration before the 7 month window opens so we may be "stuck" going to WDW, even without a race.

2BR may not be difficult but a 1BR definitely is! We WL'd right at 7 months for Easter week and it never came through.
DHHIR is mainly comprised of 2BRs so that size is by far the easiest to book.
