And jenny, some people have actually...given themselves eating disorders, for lack of a better word. Usually the purging methods they use develops into the real disease. But its possible to practice it to the point of contracting it.
 
A reason why crash dieting rarely works, is that it only works while you are on it (which is unhealthy) so when you stop, you gain it all back, and possibly more.

If you decide to do stuff like crunches, don't do like 500 in a row. It won't do anything. Do a set, and then rest for a while, drink water, and then do some more.

My friends make fun of me, but they don't mean it. It just gets to me sometimes, you know?

And I've never had an eating disorder and I'm not thinking about turning to anorexia or bulimia to lose weight, so don't worry.

Well Madison, I'm glad your friends aren't as mean as we all seemed to conclude, but you should still let them know how they make you feel when they tease you...haha I know that kind of sounds like an afterschool special or something but seriously, if they're good friends they'll stop the teasing since it bothers you

Yes, and I know that. I suppose I just mis-understood her wording.
 
umm, anorexic is a disease. and it's when your too skinny. and if your anoexic you don't want to lose weight.

Anorexia is not when you're too skinny.
It's when you're not eating to be really skinny. You think your fat.
It's a part of Body Dismorphic disorder, and you'll do anything to not be fat.
Be it eat paper to stay skinny, not eat and exercise a lot or stick your finger down your throat to make you vomit everything you jsut ate.
 
If your friends make fun of you, then they're not really your friends.

First off if you just want to loose weight for your friends its not gonna be a "good enough" motivation. But if you want to loose weight for you i wish you all the best. I am sure that you are lovely any way you are! All I can say is exersise alot or eat healthy. I personally hate eating healthy I dont like fruit, veggies, milk, or any thing like that. But I am very active I play 2 sports and i exersise and certin things work better for certin people so find what works for you and stick with it and GOOD LUCK!!!
