i'm a little overweight.
my friends make fun of me for being fat :(.
any advice on losing weight?

Well first off they aren't your real friends if they make fun of you for being overweight.

To lose weight play a sport.

See if your library has any DVDs about Pilates or something similar, or maybe buy one. That's supposedly good excersise, and it doesn't need any equipment.

Wow. Like Nikkixo said, they aren't your real friends if they make fun of you.

--Eat smaller portions. Instead of having a 12 oz steak, eat an 8 oz.
--Eat small healthy snacks throughout the day. That way, you won't get too terribly hungry and pig out on whatever you can get your hands on.
--Three letters for ya: D-D-R. Even if you're not good at it, it's exercise. And that is all that matters.
--Go for a walk. If you take a stroll around your neighborhood or at a local park for 30 minutes, 3 times a week, you will start to see and feel a difference.
--Have fun. Even though it might be hard, make sure you try to keep a positive attitude about it.

PM me if you want to talk about it. :)

First
I'm sure youre gorgeous.

now, don't ever ever ever loose weight (or do anything) for anyone except yourself! Only do this if YOU want it for YOU.

to loose weight, the idea is that you burn more calories than you're taking in, so you burn fat stores. Watch your calories (but do not go under 1200 calories a day) Then exercise. situps/crunches are great.

You may not actually lose any weight. You'll gain muscle (muscle weighs more than fat) but while you're gaining muscle, you're losing fat. Don't focus on the number of your weight, thats not important.

PM me if you want to talk. =)
I struggled with low self esteem for years. It took me a long time to not hate the face that looked back at me when I look in the mirror. But I got there. I'd love to talk if you want to.

You don't have to go to the gym. You can go running or even just walking. You can do situps and stuff in your house too. :goodvibes
If you really want to try to workout to try to lose weight then try doing things with what you have and do them everyday for a certin amount of time.
I won't worry about it tho i'm sure your not "fat" you shouldn't lose weight for the fact that you don't want people to call you "fat" do it for YOU.

I guess, as everyone said, eat healthier. Now, there are things that you can eat, that taste good and don't hold a lot of calories.

Start slowly with exercises, and always stretch before you do. Stretching hurts me, but I think, in the long run, it's better for me than not stretching at all.

When I tell myself I'm going to exercise it's always 'I'd rather do nothing, I'd rather sit in front of the pc.'
Don't say you'll do it another day. Do it then. Do it for 5, 10, 20, 30., however long you think you should. And once you get used to doing it, you won't even realise that it's your daily routine, you don't need to tell yourself to go exercise, you just do it.

I also reccomend taking pop (that is if you drink it) out of what you drink. It's loaded with calories, sugar and caffeine. It's bad for your teeth, it's addictive, and you can actually lose maybe a pound from just cutting that out.
If you don't like water, drink juice, or buy something to put in your water. Milk is even great, and if you don't like that, put chocolate sauce in it, or strawberry sauce (not too much though, it's sugary as well).

Play a sport like field hockey. when I started feild hockey for the first time, I lost 20 pounds in the first month, and I ate constantly, but I worked it all off. I think the easiest way to loose weight and get in shape is to play a sport because it's not just you that is getting in shape it is everyone on the team and you have people encouraging you and with someone behind you the whole way you are more likely to push yourself. for me, I have had the same FH and vb coach for 3 years and she has taught me how to push myself, so I don't need her anymore, and now I am always in shape, I love beng in shape, but for me, not for anyone else. Like other people have said, you should do this for you, not for anyone else.

I agree wth everyone else. Eat better, smaller portions. Small snacks throughout the day.

And excercise.

If you run or do situps or anything for that matter, you may see a change in you body size but on the scale, it may be the same or a little more. Don't freak because you are gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. I've experienced this this past year. But if your stomach starts to tone up or your legs start feeling "harder" and you think you're losing weight but you step on the scale and its the same or more.....its fine. I promise. :) Good Luck. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

You should also keep in mind, that yes, it's going to hurt the first week or two. You'll get sore. But eventually, it won't hurt.
And don't expect results right away.

Also, stay away from bread.

No. Bread is ok. Like whole wheat and mutligrain. But white bread is what you should stay away from. Unless you are going on a no-carb diet. Then you should stay away from bread. But I wouldn't recommend a no-carb diet.
