Ok, my parents are going to DC this weekend through next Thursday. Mom is worried about what the weather is supposed to be, so she'll know what to pack. She checked the online weather, but I told her I'd check here because I knew some of you were close there and could give me firsthand info!!

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Based on my traveling experience to DC, I would recommend Mom bring a lined raincoat, preferably with a zipped liner so if it gets warmer she can take the lining out, and a pair of leather gloves, along with a dressyish scarf.

When I am down there, I take the metro a lot, so I am not outside for long periods of time. The raincoat is perfect warmth for being inside or out, going above or below ground.

Tell Mom and Dad to have a great time. There is a terrible Irish Pub near Union Station called the Dubliner if the need a good restaurant. The fish and chips are awesome, the Guinness isn't too bad either. ;)
