Finally.... after the realization hit me that I COULD actually go to Disney on my own... here I am!!!

Cast of Characters:

Me - Kathy, Single 39 (OMG!!!)
Pal Mickey - My constant sidekick throughout this trip (thought I killed him one night.. but more on that later)

Alarm rings 6:00 am... Tooooo early.. must have more sleep... Okay..so my flight doesn't leave until 10:30... and I have to make a stop to feed my friend's cats on the way to the airport.. so I quickly do a calculation and decide I can afford another 1/2 hour...:faint: head back on the pillow.... Riiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggggg..... goes my Tigger alarm clock... probably the one and only time I have disliked Tigger.... but I quickly recover as I realize... Hey.. I am going to Disney!!! Now normally my enthusiasm would be in much higher gear.. but since I am spending the first 2 days in Orlando at my bosses house.. and NOT seeing anything Disney except the teasing billboards on I-4...until Tuesday Afternoon... I still haven't reached my Disney excitement peak... but nonetheless I am off on an adventure.. so.. here I go.... Up and at em... get dressed in the normal plane attire... comfy sweats that can be shed in the airport if weather permits (although after reading the past week trip reports.. it's mighty cold in the kingdom.. so I don't have high hopes for warm weather and have packed many sweaters and long pants)... I leave about 50 pounds of dry food in a HUGE bowl for my kitties.. and water in a bowl big enough for them to swim in.... (even though they do have kitty sitters coming in to check on them!!.. can we say CONTROL FREAK!!) Give each of them a kiss on their noses.. grab my bags.. water the tree... and I'm on my way. I decide to drive to the airport and use long term parking... most convenient way.... .... we will get to that discussion on my return trip report!!! I stop at my friend's house and feed their cats... and I am off once again.... James Taylor in the CD player.. It just doesn't get any better than this!!! :teeth: I park the car at JFK.. and discover that I will be using the new AirTran to transfer from LTParking to the terminal... Coooolllllll :smooth: all goes very smoothly... I arrive at Delta Song terminal (a first for me) go through security (taking out my Pal Mickey as I read on the board) but was told I didn't need to!!! Okay.... So.. I arrive an hour before my flight.... and discover that my flight has been delayed 40 minutes... Oh Well... no biggie.. I'll just grab some breakfast... and stroll around... we finally board the plane... and I am disappointed that I don't have a renovated plane... no tv's.. But.. Who Cares??... I'm Going to Disney!!! All in all it was a nice flight.. we made up the time lost (I can never understand how that happens!!!) As usual... baggage claim is Very quick and efficient in Orlando MCO... and I head outside to find my boss and her husband awaiting my arrival.... Quick synopsis of my 2 days with them... arrived at their PALACE... as I call their house... I had my own wing!!! Ate dinner at Bahama Breeze... watched Seabisquit... went to bed.. VERY early morning as we decided to head down to Busch Gardens... Cool place.. We took a VIP Tour... and went to the front of the line on all the rides.. and got to feed giraffes (probably the highlight of my trip!!) (if anyone wants details I will gladly share) then dinner at Stonecreek (or something like that) and then home to bed..I can feel my excitement growing now... YAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!! Disney in the morning!! Plans had changed and my boss was not going to be spending the day with me in Disney... so my solo time was to begin earlier than expected.. and this made me OH SO HAPPY!!!!! :Pinkbounc So.. to sleep I go with all of my plans of my New Years in Disney dancing in my head!!!
