HHI friends. Just got back to Memphis today. I'll have a report in a day or so, after we've unpacked and I've downloaded a few photos. I have a few new things to report. Number one thing is that they no longer have the Member's Days like before in the Grand Villa. They say just walk up to the Sales Center and they'll tell you what is going on. We did that, and the number one thing they said is that the Sales Center at Hilton Head will be closing in March! They expect sellout by June.

Isn't THAT interesting. After we missed doing a 50 pt. add-on at VWL last week because our use year was sold out (this was with multiple phone calls back and forth in the last 2 1/2 months to try to get in under the wire but waiting to hear about another big expense we might have) and finding that this meant we couldn't do ANY purchase at VWL less than 150 pts if we have different use year, we asked about an add-on at HH. We're on a waiting list for VWL, in case someone doesn't follow through with their purchase, and would like to hold off a few months to see if this might happen. BUT, I didn't want to miss out on HH. A guide called me back after she spoke with her supervisor and said that they didn't expect HH to sell out before the end of summer/early fall. Go figure.

They have been projecting HH sell-out to be 6-8 months for the past 4 years. It looks like it may finally happen if they are planning on closing the sales center.

I wonder what they will do with the preview center and where they will continue to do sales from. I sure you will be able to buy BCV or Eagle Pine points while visiting HH.

Does anyone know if DVC was leasing that building or if they owned it? They can always turn it into a grand villa with either highway view or parking lot view just like the views at BCV .

I was told last week that the Preview Center was being leased and that Disney was giving up the lease. Maybe that's why they are clearing out the sales staff by March. I asked about the sign on the road and they said that the sign would stay up. I had always heard that the only way they could have a sign on the road was because the preview center was on the road. Who knows? Not me.
