Hi guys!
I do not typically subscribe to forums, but looking at these boards has been so incredibly helpful to my own vacation planning, I thought I would try to return the favor!
If you are a teacher, simply bring with you your most recent pay stub, a copy of your teacher's certification (they also accept temporary certs for those of you who are new to education) and a teacher ID, and SW will give you a "Study Pass" which will entitle you to free admission to SW (not DC, though) for the entire year, and you simply need to renew it after!
You might want to check for teachers out of state (in other words, non-FL residents), and call guest relations to find out, but I do believe that this is an offer for all k-12 educators.
I hope this helps!

Good luck

I heard from some of my teachers that last week they were out of the free passes. I don't know if it was a temporary thing or if they only give out a limited amount a year.

Good News,
As of July 14th, Sea World is still offering the Study Pass to FL resident teachers. I'm not precisely sure as what your teachers told you, but here's the scoop from a Sea World Rep:
They are still offering the Study Pass, and no, they do not "run out" of them (which sounded slightly askew to me anyway). When determining whether or not they will continue and extend this special FL educator offer on an annual basis, they are pretty much "up in the air" from year to year. Therefore, it would behoove current FL teachers to obtain the Study Pass now before August 31st 2005, as that is the expiration date for the Study Pass. It is also worth noting that if you do currently hold a study pass for the 2004-2005 year, you may also 'renew' the study pass for 2005-2006 (by 08/31/05), in the event that they do not allow teachers to obtain new ones this fall. Does this make sense? I tried to articulate this as well as I could (since I'm a teacher, my brain's been on a hiatus as well!). It's sort of like being "grandfathered" in for those who already have Study Passes. I wonder why they said they ran out of passes... That's a little strange. If you have any further questions, you may also contact (407) 351-3600, and press 3 for Education, then 1, and you may speak with a Sea World Rep who is probably the most current about the availability and validity of Study Passes.
Good luck and ciao!

Guess I won't get one, as I'm not a Florida resident!!! :rotfl2:

But it could be worth a try!!! LOL!!!

I wonder what I need. I have NJ ID, but not Florida... RATS!

I'm a teacher in MA. I called too and was told it was just for FL teachers-bummer!
