My good Dis Friend, Lisa(Mickeystoontown) has convinced me that I should do a TR so I am going to give it another shot. It has been a while since I have completed a PTR or a TR so I will try and keep up.

OK, that disclaimer done let me get started with the intros of the crew on this latest journey...............

There is me...Dana......the planner, instigator, and Disney fanatic...........

Then there is my dear husband Dale, we have been married for almost 27 years. He loves Disney, just not quite as much as I. He goes alone with all my plans (well sorta) even if they aren't what he would have planned.

Then there is our youngest DS, Dallas. He has been going to Disney since he was 13 months old so he doesn't get as excited about our trips as he once did, OR could it be that he is 15 and can't show it as that just wouldn't be cool!?!?!? :sad2: :scratchin

Our oldest DS Tyler did not go on this trip, but he was along for the December trip. He has been to Disney 12 times. He will be 25 tomorrow.....and well, just enjoys having the house to himself when we head out. He does take care of our two fur babies while we are gone.

We also have a DD. Her name is Amanda and she has been married since November 2011. Her sweet DH is Matt, and she knew she had the right guy when she found out how much he loves Disney. Their honeymoon was at Disney World and they took a Disney Cruise last November with a couple days at the parks afterwards.

This is Matt. He is the sweetest person and he treats Amanda like she is a princess so that earns him lots of points with me.

Amanda, Matt, Dallas and I will be going back in October and staying at OKW. Amanda and Matt are both runners and will be running in the Tower of Terror Run.

Dale and I have been to Disney 24 times and Dallas has been 21 times. My first trip was in 1986 and Dale went for the first time in 1982 or 1983(he can't remember :sad2:). This was our second trip home as we bought DVC last August. We had our first stay as owners in December 2013.

We chose Saratoga Springs as our home resort. We stayed at SSR in 2011 and fell in love with the grounds, the ambience and the décor at SSR. I learn more about it with each stay.

OK so there are a few pictures to get the TR started. Our trip was March 22- March 28th. We were in the Stands section at SSR. This was our first time in this section as our first two times were both in the Grandstands. I really liked this area of the resort as we were close to Community Hall.

Next....were did we go and what did we do on our first day?

Well look what the cat drug in! Dana! My friend! :lmao:

You chose some great pictures for your intro. Can hardly wait to read (and see) all about it.

Thank you :). So glad you are here. We can get all caught up on every day stuff here . lol.

So, I know it has been way too long since I last posted. Sorry :guilty:.

So I last left everyone with our arrival day. I know everyone has seen these time after time, but I still love finding them on the bed.

We were on the second floor and this was the view from our room.

On all my trips I have gotten the "we are in the room" picture of my group. The first thing they do is turn on the TV.......SMH  :sad2:

We were hungry and decided to go pick up something to eat at the Paddock Grill. These pictures are from our walk over the bridge to get lunch.

I took this one from under our room.

We left this door open a lot while we were in the room. The fresh air was so nice. It did get cold while we were there though.

OK, back to the walk.

The Paddock Grill.

I didn't take pictures of the food for some reason :confused3. I do, however, remember what we ordered.

Dale had the 1/3 Angus Bacon Cheeseburger, I had the Chicken Sandwich
with Provolone and Sun-dried Tomato Pesto(I did not like it :snooty:) and Dallas had Chicken nuggets.

After we got checking into our room, carried all our stuff in and had lunch, Dallas and I went to DTD. I had purchased two of our PAPs prior to our arrival and had the vouchers to trade in. I still had to purchase one more PAP.

On the bus ride to DTD. He looks thrilled doesn't he? :rotfl:

.

OK, I am at my photo limit for this post so I will continue in the next.

Isn't it funny how the first thing that they do when they get to a room is turn on the television? Like we don't have at least three of them in our own home? :lmao:

Your view from the room is so pretty as are the resort grounds. I can see why ya'll love it so much.

Oh and the chicken sandwich, while it sounds good, I don't think that I would like the pesto on it.

Dallas and I made it to DTD and headed to Guest Services in the Marketplace. The line was LONG, but we had to wait anyway to get our tickets.

When we finally made it to the window it wasn't as easy as just buying an extra PAP as the person had to be there to activate it. I had linked one of the vouchers to my name, but had not linked the second one. The CM tried to make it so much more complicated than it had to be. I told her to just link the pre-purchased voucher to Dallas(since he was there) and I would buy the other and have Dale activate it later. She had a look come over her like she had NEVER thought of that as an option. She linked Dallas and my PAP to our Magicbands and we were off to Disney Quest.

The reason Dale did not go with us is because he did not want to go to Disney Quest. Now, if you have never walked from Marketplace to Disney Quest then I will tell you it is a LONG walk, and with all the construction going on there are walls up all over the place and you have to maneuver around them.

It was hot too, so it seemed like a much longer walk. Of course I took pictures along the way.

After we finally made it to DQ we walked around and I took a few more pictures.

We rode the Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters and honestly that was the only thing there worth the time. I don't want to discourage anyone from going to DQ if they have it in their plans, but I wouldn't waste extra money on it. The only reason we went was because it is part of our PAPs. The games are what you would find in an Aladdin's Castle and the few headline game/rides all had long lines. This was our second time to go to DQ and both times it was part of our tickets so we did not have to 'pay' extra to get in.

We went upstairs to get a coke and since I, nor Dallas, ate all of our lunch we wanted a snack. I got a cupcake(was only able to eat half) and Dallas got popcorn.

We walked around DQ a little longer and decided to head back to the room to rest. I was dreading the long walk back to Marketplace when I noticed the boat launch. We walked down to the loading dock and waited for the boat back to SSR.

Here are lots of pictures from the boat launch and our trip home.
SSR from the boat launch at DTD

Our boat

The Captain

Dallas and I had the boat all to ourselves.

The boat launch area at SSR.

After we were dropped off we had to find our way back to our room. We had never taken the boat before so we were not sure exactly how to get back. I found a map behind the Turf Club and away we went. Again I took pictures along the way.

By the time we got back in the room it was around 7:30pm and we were tired.

Next up--EPCOT and I love this pizza!!

I don't get why they have to turn the TV on first thing. Then the whole time we are there those two argue over the remote :headache: :sad2:.

The pesto wasn't good at all. I ate as much of it as I could, but just could not eat it all. I get tired of Disney food after a few days anyway. It all starts tasting the same.

I don't know if you saw it or not, but the prices of CS food has gone up. They keep raising the prices of the food yet the quality keeps going down, in my opinion :(.

It's amazing how some people don't ever think of the easy way to do things. They seem to actually want to make it more difficult. Thank goodness, she took your suggestion so you could get outta there.

You are right...the walk in the heat at Downtown Disney seems so much longer than it does on a nice cool day. :rotfl: We have plans to go to Disney Quest at least once and, like you, we are going because it's included with our tickets. Hunter will probably be in hog Heaven though. He loves that sort of thing. And, I will have to make sure that John doesn't see any of the old school games like Frogger or Pac Man. I may just have to leave them. :lmao:

The temps when we were there was up and down. Hot(in the low 90's)when we first got there, but down in the 40's by day 2 or 3.

I thought Dallas would be in hog heaven too at DQ, but he isn't crazy about the old school games. If that is John's thing then you better not let him go...:lmao:

John played those games all the time when he was a teenager and still enjoys them. He played Pac Man forever when we were in an arcade in Tennessee. I thought that I was going to have to make him lose in order to leave. :rotfl2:
