"Hey Santa" by Wilson Phillips is the most annoying holiday song ever.

And there's a Christmas song about somebody being sorry for breaking up, I forget what it is called and most of the words, but I hate it. Not Last Christmas (although that one gets annoying too).

I looked it up. "Same Old Lang Syne" by Dan FOgelberg. Ugh.

I went on youtube to see the "Hey Santa" video and it's so cheesy, but I do like the song, LOL.

Agree with Zalansky that Jessica Simpson butchers "Baby it's cold outside". Barf.

Christmas Shoes is depressing, haven't heard it at all this year.

My NJ/NY radio station overplays the Rob Thomas "Merry NY Christmas" song, honestly if I hear it one more time i'm going to scream. Sadly, they start playing the songs so early that by the time Christmas rolls around everyone is sick of the music.

Lite FM? I refuse to listen to them when they start the Christmas songs before Thanksgiving.

And Christmas Shoes is the worst song ever.

Totally agree, "Feed the World" is the worst Christmas song ever! :headache:

Yeah, no kidding there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas -- I think their problems would really multiply if there was! :headache: And how patronizing "do they know it's Christmas time at all?" yeah, because I'm sure if there is no snow and no gifts than they don't know it's Christmas  I'm sure African Christians would really appreciate that sentiment!

My other "change the station NOW" Christmas song is "Last Christmas" :headache:

Maybe you should buy that someone special a gift instead of cheaping out and giving her/him "your heart" as a gift. Just sayin' ;)

and "Feed The World" is the 2nd worst song ever. Wait, isn't the title "do they know it's Christmas"?

I've got to throw Sting's Soul Cake in as one of the worst Christmas songs ever, change the station when it comes on!

I am guessing that you have not heard Dominic the Donkey. :lmao:

Ugh. The Chicago Christmas station has decided it's a thing this year, so they're playing it more and more. It does NOT improve with repetition.

I personally can't stand The Little Drummer Boy. I change the station and the first sound of a rum-pa-pum-pum. I'm also not much of a fan of the newer Christmas songs--I don't care about your grownup Christmas wish and I'm not interested in getting bummed out by your shoes!

On a happier note, I'm enjoying the Glee cast cover of "Last Christmas" way more than I thought I would. Between that and the fact that the Chicago station is apparently contractually obligated to play Josh Groban's "O Holy Night" every hour on the hour, I'm a fairly happy camper.

I like Christmas Shoes, yes it's sad but it's a good song with a message. Do I turn it up and sing along, no, but it's still a very very good song. I don't think that radio station should have dedicated to that woman tho, that was just insensitive!
I haven't heard the Wilson-Phillips song but man, I love them!!!!
My all-time 100% favorite Christmas song is Christmas Cookies by George Strait. I  that song, that one I do turn up and sing along. :)

I heard the Hippopotamaus song for the first time the other day and I thought it was adorable. Some people say that is the worst Christmas song.

Having spent nearly 3 weeks in WDW and Universal recently, I have heard that song WAY too many times. I think it's possible the most nonsensical xmas song ever...I looked up the lyrics, sure, she sort of explains it, but still...a hippo?

It certainly is catchy, though, and I kept singing it until my frontal lobes caught up with the words I was saying.

Sappy, contrived 80's tripe and especially horrible due to the line "there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas" No kidding. Not only is part of it on the equator, but for most of Africa it's summer at Christmas time. If there was snow, there'd be bigger problems.

A CM at Epcot informed me that Morocco has some good skiing, so there's snow in some parts at some point in the year, LOL.

What always bugged my mom (who was of the religion that celebrates Christmas, unlike me) is that the preponderance of Africa doesn't celebrate it, so she highly doubted they cared at all.

And yet I liked the song. Mainly b/c of the crush-watching in the video.

"Must Be Santa" is the absolute worst. Especially when sung by a guy with whiny out of key children. And I believe there's a guy named Spike Jones who makes the most annoying Christmas songs as well.
