Just for a different perspective -

I went on the 7 night cruise in spring 2006 and was 21. In fact 3 of the 4 of us were over 21, but all young. My primary complaint was that they were SKIPPING us when we were laying on the deck! Not once did anyone come over and ask us if we wanted a drink(alcohol or otherwise) Perhaps they were profiling us as poor college kids, but I still found it to be really really annoying.

On the podcast cruise I'm hoping that won't be a problem. I'll have a 44 year old with me so I'm sure we'll get attention this time:cool1:

Since they are making their money selling alcoholic beverages I wouldn't be offended if they skip you. They might just assume that your not of age and don't want to deal with a potential issue of serving underage pool patrons.

However, I have read many threads where the bar servers (at least on other cruise lines) happily served underage cruisers, no questions asked.

So, I wouldn't be upset if the "pushers" don't come over to you. If you walk over to them and show an interest, they'll keep after you like a fly. Enjoy your cruise!

my ex-bf and i were also ignored when we went cruising on Princess in '07; i was 21 and he was 24. It was REALLY annoying, and definitely the servers loss, because we both are drinkers!

My wife and I have never cruised with Disney (yet), but we've cruised with several other lines (Carnival, Holland America, Celebrity) and have encountered drink pushing on all of the ships. It's so annoying to not be able to enter a lounge or hang out on deck, without being hounded to buy alcohol.
I'd be SO HAPPY if they would skip me. If I want a drink, I'll find them or go to one of the multiple bars.
