Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

Sounds like the Easter bunny is going to be very good to Sam & Cooper. I'm going to talk to the Easter bunny tomorrow. :goodvibes

Ahh, I see where the title of this PTR comes from now! That's so cool!

Oh guess what! I talked with my friend Mark, that I went to Disney with in December, and not only does he want to go again next December.....he has agreed that we should do a split stay - 3 nights at a Value and 3 nights at....AKL! So as long as a good passholder or FL Resident discount comes out that we can book with.....AKL Savannah view, here we come!

Just wanted to add...Check out that thumb Alicia. I don't know how I am going to get him to stop that. That is every time he goes to sleep. I feel your pain!

My sister was a fervent thumb-sucker until she was 7. Her teeth are fine, and she's normal. Well...kinda. :rotfl: But I'm her big sister, so my view is kind of skewed on that.

About the thumb thing......Aj was on the binkie FOREVER. His teeth started actually forming the shape of the binkie he used. We finally got him off of it by throwing them all away...I know you can't throw away a thumb though. Within a few months his mouth started to grow the right way and now (maybe 6 months later...ish) you cant even tell that he ever used one. Break the habit if you can but its a comfort thing. Aj gave up the binkie but now when hes tired or having a bad day he chews on the corner of his blanket.....YUCK. I have to wash it all the time because it STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you taken him to the dentist yet? Pediatric Dentists know lots of ways to break habits like that. And they recomend that children go around the 3 year old mark.....Maybe a dentist could convince him to give it up?!?!?!?!

P.S.....Not trying to nag about the dentist thing I just know alot of parents who think that kids dont go until they are school age......

YAY on the AKL saty! I hope you enjoy it as much as youor evening at Kidani.

I know he'll stop. I am starting to notice he is doing it less and less, but we are making him more aware of it. He's definitely doing it a lot less now than what he used to do. It used to be constant.

I know his teeth will go back. I guess I'm just kind of anxious to get him to stop it now. It's really the only bad habit he has right now.

He is going to the dentist this summer for the first time. I know they are going to mention the thumb thing. I don't think you're nagging. DOn't worry.

Sam sucked on the pacifier too. However, he started chewing it around 6 months rather than sucking it. I cut the thips off of them, and he never went back. He fussed for maybe 10 minutes, and he was done with it. That was so much easier than this. I have tried covering it with every possible thing I could think of. He still goes back to it. He actually liked it best when we dipped his thumb in coffee (obviously not hot coffee).

I haven't been on much the last few days, and what do I miss? The first ride on the safari! That is so cool.

Looks like the boys will be having a great Easter. I haven't really done any shopping this year. It seems everytime I go to the store my daughter is with me. Hopefully, I will get a chance to get out today.

Megan I remember a few years back a friend had a little girl that was thumb sucking (her little thumb was becoming misshaped) they bought something OTC that she put on her thumb to make it taste bad. I don't remember if it worked or not but I bet you can ask the pharamist. Good luck! Gwendolyn had a pacifier until she was almost 4 her jaw was starting to look crooked from the way she held it on the side of her mouth all the time. Luckily, she gave it to Santa and never looked back...both my boys didn't use anything (we really lucked out w/them--take that back they both went through a stage when they would nurse that they would pacify I broke that one really quick! ;) )

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am sad to say that it didn't work for us. If we are talking about the same thing, it's a nail polish type of thing that stays on the nail and causes a bad taste in the mouth when you suck the thumb. Cooper wasn't phased by it. He kept sucking it anyway. He's had some serious attachment to this thumb.

I hope those of you that celebrate this day - Good Friday - have a wonderful celebration. We are going back to Stacey's house for more crawfish today. It is warmer today than it was last time, so we have that working in our favor.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

Ready to boil!!!!

Oh! I am going to have to get an address for you guys...for a pop over!!:rolleyes1
Have fun and don't eat too much!

As always, the crawfish were good! The guys also played a very intense game of horseshoes. I think they all had a turn winning. Once again, Randy took some pictures throughout the day. Good times were had by all!

Connie - They were good. However, crawfish are just as expensive down here right now. The cold winter caused this huge shortage. Some places around here wanted $4-5 per pound LIVE!

Sounds like a great Good Friday celebration to me! We're busy spring cleaning here. Yesterday was gorgeous, today is a little rainy but back to beautiful weather tomorrow. Hope you're having a wonderful Easter weekend! Can't wait to see some pics! :goodvibes

Danny and I went buy some again this weekend...but, we have found it is cheaper to buy them boiled already especially since we are only doing 10/15#'s. We found them last weekend for $2.39 # this weekend $2.89#. But, I'm sure they will be even higher for Easter Sunday. Dayne wants to have a boil for his graduation, I hope they are more plentiful and not getting hard to peel by than.

Glad to hear that you guys had a wonderful day!
Megan, you and your family Have a wonderful Easter! :sunny:
