Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR (My TR has started! - 6/1)

Hey, I wouldn't blame Sam for not riding Dinosaur! It almost made ME pee my pants!!! That and TOT of are the only rides in Disney I will NOT do anymore.

I love AK too! It's possibly my favorite park. I always go back and forth between MK, Epcot, and AK. AK wins hands down for the most aesthetically pleasing though. It's like a botanical garden, zoo, and Disney park in one package. What's not to love?

My mom always made me and my sister pose by the steel ears at the CR when we were little too! Why we were at the CR then I don't know, because Chef Mickey's was in DTD back then!

SO, Cooper is pre-admitted. All of his pre-op work is done. We will get a call from the surgical center tomorrow to let me know what time we need to be there Friday morning.

He did great while we did the paperwork at the ENT's office. Pre-admitting at the surgical center is a completely different story. He kept telling me how everyone was so nice. He even held the nurse's hand when we went in the back to do the bloodwork...which never happens if he doesn't know you. The nurse asked him if he wnated to help feed a butterfly with her today. He got really excited about that because...who has ever had the chance to feed a butterfly? He was fine as he sat on my lap, and I wrapped my arms around him. He was fine when they tied off his arm. He even showed them how to make the fist. However, the nurse was not ready for how smart my boy would be. When she pulled out the butterfly needle, he screamed at her "THAT IS NOT A BUTTERFLY!!!!! THAT IS A SHOT!" Well, he was beyond upset at that point. Then she had enough nerve to put a band-aid on his arm. He was NOT happy at all.

Friday should be fun because he said that he does not want to go back to that place. His reason? "Mommy...that lady was not nice."

Poor Coop!!! How dare she try to test his intelligence!!! He is way too sharp to fall for the 'ole "feed the butterfly" trick! Tomorrow will not be fun.. one of the tough times to be a parent. Just know in your heart that no matter how upset he (or you and Bryan) gets, it is for the best, and he will be much healthier because of this.

Hang in there Mom.. it will be ok!!!

I'll be keeping Cooper in my prayers! And for you and your family as well. I did like that story about feeding the butterfly though! I think it's so cute that Cooper knew and wasn't afraid to call her out on her deception!

Yeah...Dinosaur is a bit much. He'll eventually appreciate it though.

I know it will be fine once it's all over and done with. It's just the unknown of what's going to happen.

It was a valiant effort. My boy is just to quick to fall for that though. He was extremely eager to feed that butterfly though.

So, everything at school is ready to go for my students for 3 days while I am out.

The surgical center called in the middle of last class of the day to let me know that we are to be at the surgical center by 6:30 tomorrow morning. His surgery is likely to happen around 8. He cannot be discharged until he has something to drink and has gone to the bathroom.

I'll be sure to check in when we get back home.

And then there was ONE!!!! Tomorrow at approx 1 pm CST the "big booty" silver Nissan Quest will roll out of the Boquet driveway and depart for Chipley!!! Chipley is a small town about 5 hours toward Florida, and it is just about the perfect midway point for the trip. The plan is to pull in around 5 or 6 pm.. settle in.. watch some TV.. hit the sack early.. and get up and at 'em by 8 am Sunday. We will be checking in to the Royal Pacific Resort "Club Level" around 3 or 4 pm Sunday afternoon, and off to Universal Studios we go to check out HR3!!!

Megan, please text me on my phone today with any developments on little Cooper.. our thoughts and prayers are with you guys this morning.. I'm sure everything will be fine, and he will be so much better for it in the long run!!!

I know almost all of you have been updated on Facebook, so I know this might be old news for you.

Cooper's surgery went well. He was given a dose of Verset, and it was interesting to say the least. Apparently, the corner of my mouth became fascinating.

He was brought to the back by 7 AM, and the doctor came out to see us by 7:40 AM. He was still coming out of anesthesia, so we waited for a bit longer in the front. We finally came back to his room by 8 AM.

He was not happy at all. He was crying to me that the man made him sleep even though he did not want to, and he an IV in his foot. He kept going in and out from taking a nap. He slept for at least another hour once we got in the room. When he woke up, he was complaining about the IV. He understood that he had to drink a full cup of water for him to have it taken out. He was determined to get that thing out, so down the cup went. He drank all of it using a syringe in less than 10 minutes. He didn't even flinch. He didn't want to take his meds, so we convinced him to hurry when the nurse came in. He saw she was taking out the IV, so he took the Tylenol quickly as well.

He came home and asked for something to eat. He ate a very mushy bowl of macaroni and cheese and some jello and drank a cup of gatorade.

He has only had the one dose of Tylenol with codeine. He doesn't want to take any medicine, so we'll see how tonight goes.

He has been fine except for one moment when he coughed really hard, and he felt a bit of soreness. He got a bit fussy but has calmed down since then.
