Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

Cool Summit Plummet picture!

And thank you to the Saints for beating the Vikings. As a Packers fan I did not want to see Brett Favre in the Super Bowl.

As Bryan will tell you, that particular day was a very good one. We had an absolute blast hanging with you guys!!! Funny how "scared" Bryan was of the plummet.. but once I finally (with a little help from Z) got him down, and he is now ADDICTED to it!!! So many great memories of this day:

1. "The Bucket"
2. Alisa losing the green DVC holder (will never let her live this one down).
3. Watching Sammy and Zach hang out and play together.
4. Watching you go down the plummet (that's all I'm gonna say for fear of my life).

It was just a great day overall.. and I cannot WAIT to go back this MAY!!!!

12 more teaching days until UF!!!
We lost our soccer game last night... but that means that soccer finally ends this FRIDAY!!!!! YAAAHOOOOOO!!!!

Megan--go to Touring Plans and search "TL Best Spots". It has the best spot articles for TL and BB. That's where I started from. It has a detailed map with areas circled and each spot discribed so you can make a decision thats best for you.

Zach still tells everyone "Mr Bryan was a chicken until he saw me go down the slide." :rotfl: That day was an absolute BLAST!!! and I don't like water parks---

Sounds like you all had a good time at BB! I don't think I could do Summit Plummet. :scared1: Especially not if they take your picture going down. :lmao: Though I'm sure my picture would be good for a laugh!

I love your BB review. More please! When did the park start to get crowded?

Thanks! More coming about the day. Don't worry! I would say I remember the park being the most crowded from around 11:30 or 12 and we watched a mass exodus of people around 2:30 or 3. We stayed from open to close.

He is definitely hooked now to the Plummet. That is all he talks about now when we tlk about what we are looking forward to doing again.

I was quite impressed with your attack of the bucket. I was going to bring up Alisa's loss of the DVC holder in the next segment. SOrry Alisa!

Thank you for stopping there.

Thanks Alisa! I'll be sure to check it out soon. I know! When we talk about that trip, that is the one of the first things I think of. My mind also goes to our last day. That one was just FULL of magic for us!

I shall not discuss it any further, but any picture you take CANNOT be anywhere as bad as mine! I think I take the cake. The only thing worse than my picture would hae been if I had exposed a **** or something.

Alisa - I just checked the map of TL. There are no "best spots" even near the kiddie area. We liked the one we had at BB because we stayed there pretty much with Cooper unless we were eating lunch or in the lazy river. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Taking a quick look at the map, I think I may have found a spot for us. It is up by Ketchakiddie Creek (6) and Mayday Falls (7). You can see it right in between the two. It's close to a lazy river entrance and not too far from a place to eat for lunch. It's also close to the wae pool which I know Sam is looking forward to hanging out on the shallow portion.

Wow, that's a great picture of Summit Plummet! How do you get a copy of it? Does the PhotoPass person scan when you get to the bottom or something?

I don't think water parks are my thing; I'd be too frightened to go down any of those slides! I'd probably do the same thing as Bryan; the higher I'd go up, the more I'd refuse to do it!

There are two or three photopass guys at the bottom of the slide. They take turns in taking pictures of people as they come down and their reaction at the bottom. Once you are off the slide onw of the guys hands you a photopass card attached to a blue rubber band. Each card has a good 4 pictures on it. There are other photopass set ups throughout the park. Randy and Alisa have a picture together near the entrance. Bryan, Sam, and Zach have pictures from the lazy river and the wave pool.

The worst part is the climb. Bryan kept asking me if I was freaking out yet, and I kept saying no. I knew the worst thing that would happen to me was a GIANT wedgie. That's exactly what happened!

Well I don't know about that.. not sure if the wedgie was the worst thing... but I digress....

So, where I left off, Bryan and the guys just returned from Summit Plummet. They called Sam over and told us they would be back later. Alisa and I continued to hang out in Tike’s Peak. After a while, we wanted to do something else, so we suggested to Cooper that we go in the lazy river. We walked over to it – we were right next to the entrance – to show him what it was all about. He instantly wanted to get in, so off we went!.

We had a great time! However, OMG, the water that is sprayed over you or drizzling from Mt Gushmore is like ICE!!!! We tried to avoid that by all costs. We went around the river once and decided to go back to our cabana for a bit since it was already a little after 11.

As we were walking back to the cabana, Alisa checked her pockets and realized that her waterproof DVC credit card case was now missing. All of their annual passes were in there…along with a room key and their credit card! I went to the cabana with Cooper, and Alisa went back for another lap around the river in hopes of finding the case floating in the water.
After being at the cabana for about 5 minutes, the moment I was dreading happened. The boys came back, and Randy’s first question was where Alisa was. I tried easing into it by saying she went for another lap around the river. He asked why, so I had to tell him. His face dropped and off he ran to the river. To keep everyone else busy and for some extra eyes, we all decided to take another lap. We get through it, and hope that Randy or Alisa found the case. We got to our exit, and there was Randy. They had recovered the case. Eventually a person noticed it floating in the river, turned it into a lifeguard, and it was sent to Guest Relations. Alisa had asked lifeguards all along the way if they had seen, and one told her what happened. Randy caught up to her as she was returning from Guest Relations, and all was good in the world again. However, Randy will never let her live that one down.

Everyone is back at the cabana and we decided that we would get some lunch. We took the short walk over to Lottawatta Lodge and discovered we had beaten the lunch crowd. We had our pick of table. The boys’ meals came in little sand buckets. Everyone ate pretty quickly…we didn’t realize how hungry we were! We went to the restroom and headed out for more fun.
We’ll finish the rest of the day on another day…

Notice the lack of pictures? This is why I want to get a waterproof camera before our trip. We'll see how things go. Bryan goes back and forth on the issue. He wants one with certain specs, but he doesn't want to pay the price for it.
