Welcome neighbor!!! How strange to have another person from Houma on my PTR. Congrats on your AKV purchase. You'll love it!

We love Disney , try to talk them into coming, they came twice, but are not that much into it i guess. I guess they have their hands full right now with their 3 grandkids! I love reading about all these plans on this thread!

Okay, so the update on Cooper? He will be getting his tonsils and adenoids removed on February 12th. The ENT took a rather lengthy history from him. Right before he looked into Cooper's mouth, he told us that from the history he had a feeling Coop's tonsils would be huge. They were actually so large that they were touching his uvula (Cooper calls it his hangy ball). Surprisingly, he is healthy right now. He immdiatley looked at us and said he was a perfect candidate for their removal. We had a discussion of his after care and the surgery. He pretty much told us it would be hell with him for one week. I'll be missing 3 days of school to stay home with him. One day for surgery day, and two days at the end of next week since we don't get the full week off for Mardi Gras.
Good news Megan! We will pray that everything goes well and Cooper has a speedy recovery. I've heard it's kind of rough the first few days but kids are amazing in that they bounce back pretty quickly.

Bless his little heart! Oh well, at least once its done he'll be some much better!!!

Sounds like you have been busy over there! I'm glad things are working out well for Cooper. And :cool1: for adding traveling buddies. We've only been to WDW once with other people, but they only went for 1 day :scared1:-I know! Sounds like you all will have fun. :goodvibes

Great AK look back! We also loved Kali. My ODD got drenched-we had to wring out her clothes!!
Crossing my fingers that the surgery goes well. Yay for the added peeps. Congrats on the ADR magic!

Awww poor Cooper. But it will be totally worth it, trust me! It's great not having tonsils so large they touch my 'hangy ball'. :rotfl: Tell him it's a great excuse to eat yummy stuff - I did a lot of smoothies and ice cream during my recovery.

Not gonna lie, the doctor is right about the hell part. He will be in a lot of pain. It felt like the worst strep throat I've ever had - times ten. But taking the time to do it now will save Cooper tons and tons of days he would otherwise be at home sick. In future one day, he might even thank you for it!

Hope all goes well with it! Good luck!

SO, school has been a bit busy this week, and every time I log on to the disboards I am called away for something.

WOOO HOOO for all of us passing the 4 month mark. It feels great to say that we will be leaving in LESS than 4 months. We'll probably be booking our hotel in Lake City for the 21st some time in the next month too.

Cooper is doing well right now. He asked me yeasterday if it would hurt for the dr to take away his tonsils. I didn't want to scare, and I didn't want to lie. I told him he would be sore and uncomfortable. That seemed to be the least sacry way to answer the question.

Well, the entire area of South Louisiana is excited and the edge of our seats today. I'll check in probably tomorrow. We have some friends coming over for the game today. LATER!

I still can't believe that the Saints are actually going to the Superbowl!!! Thanks for the invite, Megan, I enjoyed the game (the parts that I was able to watch, that is).. and I especially liked watching all of your reactions (especially Lacie) at the end..

The state of Louisiana will now be in a state of partying for the next two weeks..God help us all if they actually win the big one!!!

Oh well.. back to reality.. back to work.. hopefully this will be my last week of soccer.. then I'll hopefully have a bit more free time...

Only 15 Days until Universal!!!

No problem for the invite Randy! It was certainly a fantastically awesome night! I still can't believe they actually did it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Hi Megan! Congrats on the Saints making it to the Superbowl!! Joe and I cannot stand the Colts so we will be rooting for the Saints on the 7th. :cheer2: My final papers for my classes are due on Super Bowl Sunday. I'm going to work really hard to have them done before the game. Hope you're having a good week!

So, with my little TR I have going here, we have already visited Epcot, DHS, and AK for some Kali and Yeti fun. Out of everything we were doing this trip, the one day EVERYONE was looking forward to was this day. Our day at Blizzard Beach.

We were able to sleep in today a bit since BB didn’t open till 10AM. We were at the park by about 9AM though. We weren’t the first ones there though. The Boquets got there about 15-20 minutes before us. They were the first ones there. LOL… Alisa and I had talked the day before about where to set up camp for the day. She had studied the BB map the day before while they spent the day at TL. She had picked a cabana in Tike’s Peak. They pulled the first person through to climb Mt. Gushmore to ride down Summit Plummet first for the day. Shortly after that, they dropped the rope for us to go to the various ropes to wait for the slides to open. As we waited by the Tike’s Peak rope, a couple of CMs began talking with us. They told us that Alisa actually picked one of the BEST cabanas in the park…it stays in the shade all day. Awesome start! One of the CMs was in his first week of working for the mouse. As they dropped the rope, we all wished him luck with is new job.

We found our cabana, set up shop, and separated for a bit. Bryan, Randy, Zach, Chase, and Bubba all were headed to Summit. Alisa and I stayed with Sam and Cooper to let them play in Tike’s Peak. The plan was that they would go ride the Plummet and come back to get Sam. Cooper would spend the day relaxing with Alisa and I. We agreed that at one point we would switch so that Alisa and I could go on some bigger slides.

Cooper wasn’t as into the slides as we thought he would be. He had a TON OF FUN just playing on the little alligator floaties in the pool while keeping a safe distance from the waterfall. Alisa and I would just sit in the water and watch him play. The water came up to our waist when sitting. Sam, on the other hand, had a BLAST going down the slides. He would just go up and down over and over again. There really is something to getting to a WDW water park right when it opens. They waited no time whatsoever.

After about 30 minutes, the boys come back. They had rode Summit twice. Bryan had some issues though. The higher he climbed, the crazier he thought it was to actually go down the slide. He eventually told Randy he wasn’t going to doit. Randy, again, convinced him to do it. He told him to just come to the top to look around – you can see ALLLLLLLLL of WDW from the top platform of the Plummet. Bryan then said that if Zach, who is 7,went down, he would go down too. AT that point, Zach turned around and said see you later and dropped himself down the slide. When they got to the bottom, they discovered the Photopass photographers took pictures of you as you went down. Bryan ended up loving it so much, he went immediately back up and slid down again. He loved it!

Randy feel free to add all but the one picture we will speak of to anything from our BB day together.

More to come!!!!!

Great Summit Plummet pic. We haven't been there since 1999. We need to go back some time. It looks like a lot of fun.

As far as my Disney planning is concerned, very little has occurred since my update of our dining reservation changes.

I was planning to sit down and look at a few things when I have the 10 days off with Cooper in 2 1/2 weeks.

I want to sit and look at the TL map to pick a cabana for us. I don't know if the Boquets will stick with us again, but Cooper will be confined again to the toddler area. I'm going to want to stay close like we did at BB. Cooper does love the lazy river, and I don't know if I'll let him in that massive wave pool. There will be plenty of us around so that the adults will be available if one of us wants to go do something really quick. We'll see how things pan out.

Thanks Leanne! The state is absolutely INSANE right now! I think most of the state is praying that our governor calls a statewide holiday on the 8th. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Our administration is already dreading the day for teacher absenteeism along with the difficulty of finding subs. It's crazy! Bryan is not a Saints fan...he's a Colts fan. That makes things a bit interesting.

It was a TON of fun!!!! There's more fun to come. We were originally going to go this year in February for Mardi Gras. One of the reasons we switched was because of Sam and Bryan's desire to go back to BB and wanting to try TL.
