Hey Mom, Check out my new Spider-Man move! (Last day & Final Thoughts - 1/10)

After a full day at Typhoon Lagoon on Monday, our plan for the next day was to spend the day at Blizzard Beach. We find that the water parks are least crowded on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We woke up and got ourselves redayand headed down to the lobby to wait for Stacey, Sonny, and the girls.

We got to Blizzard Beach, and in true Disboards form, I got in line at an empty turnstyle rather than behind everyone else...definitely got some dirty looks for that.

We have a caban that we really like at BB. It stays in the shade all day and is centrally located. My job was to make sure we got that caban. Before we knew it, they let us through to go to interior ropes. Our stop was a cabana at Tike's Peak...Cooper's favorite spot. While I did some speedwalking, I noticed an older man keeping pace with me. He asked if I had been there before. I told him yes, and he sadi he could tell I knew where I was going...like I was on a mission. He then went on to tell me that hs wife, daughter, SIL, and granddaughter had been there for 10 days already from Great Britain. On their first night, the granddaughter became seriously ill (don't remember what was wrong with her), and this was there first entrance in to a park of any sort in 10 days. The little girl needed something slow-paced with shade, so they figured a water park was a s slow paced as they could get. I told him to follow me because I knew the perfect spot that would stay in the shade all day. There are 2 or 3 cabanas right next to the one we like, so I knew I could show him a great spot. Eventually everyone else caught up with us at the rope. Bryan of course took pictures of his favorite attraction along the way.

Bryan, Randy, Sonny, Satcey, Zach, and Cyler all high-tailed it for Summitt Plummett after they dropped of their stuff.

After plummetting twice, ZAch and Cyler came back with me to Tike's Peak while the others went off on their own.

After awhile, everyone met back up again, so we headed out for the lazy river.

Everything started out wonderful...

Then, we had a 3 minute drizzle while in the lazy river. From that moment on, I couldn't shake a chill. I was so cold for the rest of the day. Cooper was cold as well and wanted to get out, so I took him and tried to get to our exit quickly.

After getting out the lazy river, I went hang out with Cooper iin Tike's Peak. Bryan went off with the other grown-ups. Madeline went with Sam to the Ski Patrol area for some bigger kid fun.

Once everyone came back, we decided to head to Lottawatta Lodge for some lunch. Once again...sand buckets.

Up next...everyone leaves us.

Wow, I can't imagine being in WDW for 10 days and not going to a park due to illness!

Boo, being cold at a water park doesn't sound fun at all!

What a fantastic day that was.. the Plummet is all of that.. and a full bag of chips!!! Aunt Stacey and Uncle Sonny were great for their first experience with it...

Good times...

Megan you have REALLY got me wanting to visit a water park now!

That was so nice of you to show the Brits a shady cabana. Poor family comes all the way over the big pond to spend most of it sitting around while 1 kid is sick...talk about bad luck!

I love the photo of Cooper with the sand bucket on his head. :rotfl:

I know! I felt so bad. The little girl had been in the hospital for 8 of those days if I am remembering correctly.

I was surprised that I got such a chill from that miniscule drizzle. It was crazy!

YAY! GO! They are a blast! aA very relaxing way to spend your day.

Alisa originally found our spot last year. We got some tips from a CM at the interior rope about all of them being in the shade all day. I felt so bad about their situation that I wanted to make certaian they had a great spot for them for the day. I ended up seeing him later in the afternoon, and they all thanked me profusely for the tip.

Sand buckets go on your head apparently in my house.

When we got back to our camp for the day, Sonny, Stace, and the girls decided they were ready to leave. Later on, when looking at our pictures, they did not realize how much of BB they had missed out on. Randy, Alisa, and the boys had plans to stay until about 2. They wanted to head over to the Beach Club for a Kitchen Sink. Us...stay at the water park.

Cooper was tired, so he laid down for a little while.

Before I knew it, he was out.

I stayed with Cooper, so Bryan and Madeline went off with Sam for a bit.

When Cooper woke up, he wanted to go check out Dad and Sam in the wave pool.

We stayed for a while, and he wanted to go back and play in "his area." Bryan and Sam then went off on their own again.

By this time, it was almost 3:30, and we were getting rready to leave. Bryan took the boys back to the wave pool one more time while Madeline and I hung out a bit for a little while.

On our way out, we stopped in the gift shop to look around. Both times we have said we would take a picture in the sleigh. This is as far as we have gotten.

When we got back to Kidani, we indulged in our snacks from Boardwalk Bakery. YUM!!!

While we all showered for our evening plans, Bryan and the boys snuggled up to watch The Sandlot for 500th time.

I've been reading, but haven't posted yet. Love your updates!! :) Your kiddos are adorable! I have 2 boys who will be 5 and 3 when we take them for a surprise trip next May. Reading your report has made me look forward to it even more!!

Wow.. back to back updates!!! Wooo HOOO!!!

Looks like you guys had an absolute BLAST after everyone left.. some great family time... can't get enough of that...

The shot of Cooper sleeping is just too cute...

Lovin' it.. making me more, and more excited about MARCH....

It sure looks like ya'll had fun while at Blizzard Beach! Poor Cooper must have been tired to have taken a nap. I think, since we've been to Typhoon Lagoon a couple of times, we may give Blizzard Beach a try next time.

We did have fun. TL and BB have a different vibe. Both are wonderfully fabulous though. He was a very tired little boys. That nap lasted at least 3 hours.
