Hey Mom, Check out my new Spider-Man move! (Last day & Final Thoughts - 1/10)

20 weeks until we're headed back to Disney!!!

We are going into severe withdrawals...

Come on.. Mardi Gras!!!

YAY!!!!! Once again, I am posting that I am back. This time, it's for real! Bryan found all the problems, so I am fixed and ready to go again!

It's late, so I'll be trying to get my update in tomorrow after school.

I am so excited!

Finally!!!! I have a computer to update this little story of mine! I am so excited to be posting here guys!

On our third day in WDW, we decided to hit up the favorite of my boys - the water parks. Our stop for the day was...

DSC00553.jpg

We pulled into the parking lot and parked on the very first row. Waterparks are awesome at the beginning of the week. We got out the truck and saw the Boquets getting off the bus at the same time.

The CMs let us into the park to go to the interior ropes shortly after arriving, and we stopped to take a picture of some of the kids with us that day. Okay...almost ALL of the kids.

DSC00555.jpg

We get to the interior rope to wait for the drop. It was super-hot waiting there.

After finding a spot to camp for the day, we split up. Cooper wanted to go to Tike's Peak, and Sam wanted to go to the one place he could live in all day - the lazy river.

DSC00559.jpg

Every wondered what the lazy river looks like first thing in the morning? Here you go...

A few pictures from their time in the river...

The boys then played around in Tike's Peak for a while.

After the kid's area, the boys wanted to go back to the lazy river.

Sam loves the lazy river! He doesn't ride on the tubes. He swims it every single time. This is what we saw most of the day.

A PhotoPass pic from the lazy river...

We let the boys check out the wave pool abit. That thing is massive. Sam loved it; Cooper not so much. HE didn't like the waves and kept asking to go into the little wave pool. That consisted of the area where the waves hit last. The only picture we had of the little wave pool was with Sam.

By this time, we had been playing for about an hour and a half. We decided to eat lunch and beat the rush. Boy did that work!

Up next, swimming with sharks

Megan, you're back! I was starting to worry you had abandoned your TR and left all your loyal readers hanging on the edge. :rotfl:

You know in all my visits I have NEVER visited a water park! TL looks very nice...do you guys prefer one water park over the other?

Did they have a photopass photographer IN the water? That's pretty nifty!

Awesome Update! That was a great day!!!! Perfect weather.. great friends, great times!!!

I'm so glad that you're finally able to start posting again. It looks like ya'll had a great time at Typhoon Lagoon. Your pictures are so good. Is your camera waterproof? I'm looking for a new camera and would love to have a waterproof one.

Looking forward to hearing about your swim with the sharks!

Thanks Abby! It's great to be back on here! I definitely don't want to abandon this TR.

I believe it! Our first visit to the waterparks was last year. After that trip, we vowed we would always make room for them. The boys love them so much. Both TL & BB have their perks. BB is better for a more thrilling slide. You can't beat Summitt Plummett. It is so terrifyingly awesome. You can't explain that freefall feeling. It is the tallest, steepest waterslide in the the U.S. However, I preferred TL. It just felt so relaxing throughout the park. It has a different vibe that I liked more there than at BB. Don't get wrong though. I love BB as well. I just gotta give the edge to TL.

During the summer months, you can find the PP photographers in the lazy river, the wave pool, and at the end of some of the slides.

Thanks Lisa! It feels good to be back. I do have a Sony waterprrof camera. We got it specificaaly for this trip. I had complained to Bryan after last summer's trip that we had no pictures from our day at Blizzard Beach and that I wanted to get a waterproof camera before we headed back. We researched for what seems like forever and finally settled on the Sony. We love it!

Update coming next.

Wehn I left off yesterday, we had checked out the wave pool and were headed to lunch. Let me tell you...I was so happy we ate when we did. We beat the swarm. We had the typical burgers and fries. The boys' food came in sand buckets which they had fun playing with for the remainder of the day since our camp for the day was right next to the sand. They had fun being silly with the buckets while everyone finished up.

After eating, we headed back to camp to determine the plan of attack for the afternoon. When we got there, I checked out the wave pool from above and caught some before, during, and after pics of the wave. Let me tell you...you can definitely hear it when that wave comes. There is no horn that blows, but the crack it makes is so loud, followed by the screams of everyone in the water. It is unbelievable.

As I said, the kids enjoyed playing with their sand buckets.

My sister, Madeline, and I wanted to go try out swimming with the sharks, so ALisa offered to watch Cooper while I went that way. Bryan went off to do some slides with Randy, and I agreed to take Sam and Zach's friend Schylar with us to check it out.

They give you a quick lesson in breathing with the snorkling gear and remind you that these are live sharks. You should not kick or splash around much...propel yourself with your hands gently.

Everyone was good to go until we get to the edge where we are supposed to go. Sam freaked out because he couldn't touch, which I warned him of ahead of time. Madeline told me to go with Schylar since he was a bit more familiar with me than her. I got in the water and floated as I was supposed to, and then I was in shock. The water is kept at 70 degrees. My body became so rigid, and I couldn't breathe. I could not get out there fast enough. I popped up at the sme time Schylar popped up, and he told me the same thing...TOO COLD. I told him to hold my hand, and we would get out of there as fast as we could. As we were slowly hightailing it out of there, I took pictures along the way. I was surprised that I actually got a picture of the hidden mickey in the reef.

I know this is that unique thing that you can do at TL. However, I will not be doing it again. My body could not handle the water at that temp.

Tomorrow's update...Crush N Gusher

LOL.. yeah that water was COLD.. but I did enjoy it.. kinda neat to be able to say that you swam with sharks!!!

Ah yes.. we love the waterproof camera.. it rocks!!! Cyler and Z had the most fun in the wave pool, until someone took Z out (he was about 275 lbs).. then we had to get out...

I'm so glad you're back to finish your story!

TL looks so pretty. We had the waterpark option last time and I was determined to get to both but we ended up only making it to BB. One of these days we will get to TL. DH always picks BB for Summit Plummet.

All the pictures you got at the waterpark make me think I might need to add a waterproof camera to my xmas list.

Are you going back the same week this May or a different time?

I have to admit that I kinda freaked out in the Shark Reef too. It was just so doggone cold (especially when the temperature outside was around 90). I also wasn't so good at breathing with the snorkel. Hunter and I swam across as quickly as we could. So, I don't blame you for getting out of there. But, I am impressed that you took a few pictures and even captured a Hidden Mickey.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures as your's always crack me up. I think my favorite one of this installment is the sandbucket on the head picture.

Hmmm - sharks and COLD water - doesn't sound like fun to me! I am with Sam on the lazy river love. That's more my speed, but I definitely want my tube!

I couldn't get over how cold it was. I've done it, but I don't need to do it again.

Sam loved the wave pool. Cooper not so much.

Yeah, me too. It wouldn't have been right if I had left it as it was.

I do enjoy both waterparks. Bryan would go to BB every day if I would let him, but I really liked TL.

I like the new waterproof cameras because they are more than waterproof. They are also shockproof ( no problem dropping it) and freezeproof.

Next summer, we are going a week later than we did this year. My parents, sister, and godchild are coming as well. Her dance recital isn't until May 29th, so we leave early the next morning on the 30th.

At least I know I am not the only one. My SIL, Stacey, just kept raving about it all afternoon. I know she went back at least one other time. Not me! I stayed away as much as possible. I impressed myself too. I got out of the reef, checked out the pictures, and was surprised to see the hidden mickey.

Thanks! My boys are hams and like to do it up for the camera. Eventually all of Sam's pictures have an Elvis-like smile to them. I don't know why he was doing it. It just started showing up.
