We ate at the Coral Reef last year and loved it!!! To be able to watch all the fish and divers in the tank is an awesome experience.
Today was Cooper's first day of school. I did fine. I knew I had to be strong for him because he wasn't sure about what to think about it. Well, he was excited until his teacher tried to take him to class and leave us behind. He screamed bloody murder. Cooper actually screamed "Mom, how could you" to me as we all walked away. I couldn't believe it!
However, he jumped into the car this afternoon and told me his day was so awesome. Hopefully, I'll be on here more as soon as things settle down at school.
Oh, that is so hard when your children are being picked on. As a parent, you want to protect them and be there to fight their battles (or at least I do). So glad that you talked to him and he was able to resolve the issue quickly!OMG!!!! This is my first time logging on to the Disboards since the 11th. I so thought things had calmed down a bit, but I was so wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can come back and talk to all of you some more tomorrow because I am just whipped right now. We had Sam's Open House tonight. She had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Bryan and I both really like his teacher, so we are hopeful that Sam will have a wonderful year. Cooper, on the other hand, is still crying every day. We are making progress though. He did not have to be released of his death grip to Bryan's truck today. He got out the truck crying, but he walked up the walkway holding his brother's hand.
I had my first heartbreak. Cooper came home on Thursday and told us that he thought some of the boys in his class were mean because they called him "Cooper Pooper." Bryan and I talked to him about what he should do in that situation and proudly reported back on Friday that the boys had their light moved when he told his teacher about the name calling (after he asked them to stop forst though). He said that no one called him names today though, so he was much happier.
