I wanted to give all my fellow Mass Dis'ers a heads up. Next Wednesday, teh 20th, the Sagamore Rotary will be closing. Unfortunately I don't know for how long, I read it on one of those flashing signs. I've tried to find out any information I can by going to the Mass. Highway's website but I can't find anything on it, hopefully someone else will be more successful. I'm going to be stepping away from my computer for most of the morning, but I'll be back later.

YUCK! Guess I won't be heading down 495 to visit my parents anytime soon since it now sounds like the Bourne Bridge is going to be backed up.

Have some faith - it's the MA Highway Department. When have those guys ever screwed anything up?

Mass Highway's never screwed anything up, they do everything right the first time :rotfl2: :rotfl2: . I've already told my supervisor that I'm not coming into work that day. I work in Boston and I really don't want to get up even earlier than I do now, 5:30am, just to make it into work.

OMG I just spit tea all over my computer screen! :lmao: :joker:

I thought it was because they're getting rid of the rotary? If that's the case, I would assume the bridge will be closed for awhile then...

They are getting rid of the rotary, and from the looks of it, it looks like the bulk of it's done (at least that's they way it looks from where I'm looking, driving in my car). I would assume, and this is only my assumption, that most of the project is done and that this is the last of the big stuff. From my vantage point, the road below looks to be done, but then again, that's just from where I'm seeing driving by.

Wow...something done quickly and without too much aggravation. Surprising, isn't it?

Yea, it is isn't? I think I read somewhere that they are going to be done by the end of the year  , and the original time estimate was Spring '07. Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2
