EPCOT (EPCOCK) Part 1
or
The Legend of Puffie
Up early, we were, in persuit of a full day at EPCOT (****). We hadn't had a full day at this park in ages; we usually did this park in 2 separate half-days, and it's usually the first park we visit on the trip. I suppose traditions change.
We arrived shortly after rope drop (maybe a couple minutes after), and I lead the charge to Soarin'. This is the only park opening we've never seen (we'd seen MGM the day before, MK our last trip, and AK the trip before that). Maybe someday...
By the time we arrived at Soarin', the line was 20-25 minutes. Not bad, so we hopped on Standby. I did rather like the new interactive games they've installed; very cool and slightly addicting. We plopped and popped and bopped the blobs to our heart's content before boarding a hanglider. Destination: California!
Now...call me crazy, but Soarin' just...doesn't live up to the hype for me. It's a fantastic ride, really, it is, but I wouldn't wait more than half an hour or so for it.

Now, what to do? Oh, look, we haven't done Living With the Land in years...and there's a 5 minute wait posted...
5 minutes, my foot. There was not a soul in that queue!
Would we get a boat to ourselves?
Come on, come on, come on...no one else come...boat to ourselves, boat to ourselves...
No such luck; another family joined us at the last second. Drat!
Anywho, I did enjoy our relaxing ride through the greenhouses, and here are Mom's pictures to prove it! :
'nanas:

Other plants:

LOOK at the SIZE of these babies! :

Part of the 9-Pound-Lemon:

Zucchini? Not sure, but they're cool:

After LWTL, we drifted next door to The Seas.
I swear, the walk to get to those clammobiles is longer than the ride itself. FAIL on the Imagineer's behalf on creating this queue! It's cute and cool, but it's so goshdarn LONG!

Still, I do enjoy this ride, nice and cool in there. We visited the manatees upon exiting (they're Mom's favourites!), and then joined the queue for Turtle Talk.
It was a while before the next show, but we entertained ourselves. I played Mr. Ray's Quiz, and Dad watched the stingrays near the doors. There was one stingray in particular that was bullying the other stingrays. Funny how that happens, even with fish and other such animals, not just humans.
Anyway, here are the rays:

And introducing...PUFFIE! :
"Hiiii. I'm Puffieee. And you are?"

"Wait, no! Come back, Puffie!"

Now, here's the trippy part. We (Mom and I) met Puffie's sister/brother/mother/father/cousin/aunt/uncle/second cousin twice removed on his mother's side while at an aquarium in Long Island. Check this out! :

Dont'cha see the family resemblance?

When I posted the above photos to Facebook, I captioned the Seas Puffie as "Puffie" and the Atlantis Marine World (on Long Island; suggest you check it out if you're in the area) Puffie as "Puffie's...sister?! Brother?!"
Why, yes, I have no life. Thanks for noticing!
*coughs*
ANYway, we thorougly enjoyed our time with Crush, and exited The Seas.
I suppose I *could* tell you more of our EPCOT morning, but I'd like to drag out this TR for a little while longer, and besides, I want YOU, my faithful audience, to guess where in Future World we went next! HINTS below!
Up Next:
Zoom, zoom, zoom!
Munch, munch, munch!
Hot, hot, HOT!
Love, Meg
