Hey Kids...You just got PUNKED! Our Pre Trip Report!

Sorry to hear about Goldie. Hopefully, her new diet will help.

Those 8 days will fly by with all that you have to do. It makes me tired just reading all that you have planned.

I love the way that you are going to reveal the surprise. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

She has neurofibromatosis but it is not progressing. No nodules on her eyes or brain. WHEW! Best part of this testing was that we found out she needed glasses BADLY! Poor kid was 20/80. So she is wearing glasses and we go back to the neurologist in 6 months!

good news all around

Glad to hear Goldie is okay for now and hopefully the new diet will help. Looking forward to hearing how the "big reveal" goes! :cool1:

Wow what a week it has been. I had to work the last two days so I have the next two days to get in gear and get everything done. I did get some things done around the house Monday, but the kids have managed to wreck most of that. Tuesday was Matt’s birthday, but with the crazy week we did birthday dinner Monday night, and his favorite pizza Tuesday night. We had a nice dinner and cake and ice cream and then my son and I headed out for baseball. It was an 8pm game and it didn’t end until 10:15. Ugh! But they did win AGAIN…loving that 5-0 record.
Tomorrow I have to get the rest of the house done, and then head out to testify in court for a neighbor that I saw get a ticket for going through a crosswalk. The police officer couldn’t see that the crossing guard was out of the line of sight and wasn’t holding the stop sign up. I saw the whole thing. So that should take up half of my day. But I know it is the right thing to do. Matt is on his nightshift for the next 3 days, so that really puts it all on me! But…I do work well under pressure.

I did finally finish the kids *train tickets*! When he tells them to open them up to make sure they are the right ones…they will get a HUGE surprise! I can’t wait to see their faces. My son was talking to me last night about going to the Great Wolf Lodge, and of course I had to throw out my big speech about the trip. I made sure to let him know that due to our late arrival to GWL we would not be doing anything that night just watching TV and getting in bed. That he and his sister would have 2 full days and one night to play and do what they want. Yes…I am so good! HAHAHAHAHA!

I have been checking the weather and I am pretty sure we will just go ahead and purchase MNSSHP tickets tomorrow. The weather looks like it is just going to be beautiful! It will be a very nice change; we have had clouds, rain, and storms for days. So sick of not having some warm, sunny days.
Matt’s mom will be flying in on Saturday. I will be picking her up from the airport and she will finally get to meet Bruno…the new puppy in the family. She is very nervous about my 10 month old 90lbs puppy. He is a sweetheart to those that love him, and that we love. She will have him snuggling with her before we leave. He is such a sweetheart! Goldie is doing great, so Matt took her to get her hair done today! She wasn’t thrilled about going but she certainly looks much better and really feels better!

I did find out on Sunday that Lauren accidentally broke our camera! UGH! Quick trip to Best Buy found camera I loved and it was sold out. I came home to check online and was able to get the SAME camera with a free camera bag, memory stick, AND a free Shutterfly photo book!!!! No shipping...we pick it up at the store tomorrow! SCORE!

I hope to have the video of the kids big surprise posted on YouTube before we leave. Just hoping for an on time train with no delays! I want to get the kids on the train, settle in, and get some sleep for a fulfilled Monday!!!! We can’t wait!!!

LOVE the "train tickets"!!! :thumbsup2 They are going to be SOOO surprised and thrilled!!! :rotfl:

We leave in 8 days so I'm right there with ya' as far as getting everything ready to go :laundy:

Your report is SOOOO exciting so far. The kids are going to be thrilled! I'm in NC also, not too far from you. I am looking forward to hearing about your train experience. We usually drive down but I have flown Spirit from Myrtle Beach when they had those crazy $1.11 fares. Have you ever flown Allegiant out of Greensboro? I'm thinking about checking them out...

Looking forward to reading the rest of your report! Have a wonderful time!!!!!

It sounds like you have a great trip planned. I can't wait to see the surprise.

melanie, not sure of the dates you were at UO or at the mnsshp, but did you get caught in the rain on last weekend?

anywho, hope you had a great vacation!

No..we got the rain on our last day. We had ponchos so we were in good shape. We left at 5pm on Friday...the entire week was beautiful!

Sorry I haven't posted our trip report. Bad week when we got back. Goldie took a turn for the worse and when we got home Saturday we decided to watch her for the weekend. She made no progress so Monday at 3:45pm we made the hardest decision to put her to rest. I have just been a wreck since Monday and really havent had the energy to sit down and write our report. We did have a lot of fun, and LOVED Forbidden Journey. Probably the best ride EVER! I promise that in the next few days I will write our report. Yes...we did manage to SHOCK the kids. They were so surprised. Lauren cried she was so overwhelmed!
