Hey all! I survived another Back To School Night.........everything went well!

I hope you are still feeling better Jenny!! :cloud9:

Cuddles to Lucy! :grouphug:

Hello to Deb,Kath, Lynn and the rents!! :wave2:

Hi everyone What do I do all my RBs sre listed as injured JOHN Help

Jo ann I've posted on the med thread. I've booked flights and found a couple of interesting excursions. I've booked a couple of private guides, don't have to pay deposit and no cancellation charge so let me know if you and/or debi are interested in joining us at all.
I've booked one in Rome but we'd like to do the countryside around rather than Rome itself so that may not be for you... I've booked one in Villefranche to go to Monaco and the hilltop towns and one in Naples doing Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri. Let me know what you think.

I have no idea what to do, Lynn, so far, I just want to see Monte Carlo and visit the casino, there, I want to go to the coastal towns since it involves less running aroung, I am really open, I would be happy to book your ideas, if that's okay. Just let me know what I need to do! :cool1:

Happy Friday to all, I'm beat...................

Lynn, can you send me information about your tours in Villefranche and Naples? Thanks. I've already booked a tour of Rome.

JoAnn, I saw in your post on the 28 July board that you booked your flights. Good for you! What airline are you flying?

Debi, Have you booked your air yet?

Where's Lucy?

Jenny, John rejected a trade request from Ted and added a bit a commentary...something like "I'd have to be an idiot to go for that." Too funny!

Hey Kath,

I am flying US Airways from PHL to BCN and we are going direct with no overnight stays in Barcelona! :moped:

HE SAID WHAT??? OMG! That is not nice! :stir: :furious:

BTW ~ He mowed my yard (after the wrath of his Step mom finding out about my back) with long pants and a hooded sweatshirt up and tied!! :lmao: He looked sooo weird, but my lawn is done!!! :woohoo:

I am getting there...the steriods are starting to kick in!!

Heading out of town in the a.m. Oktoberfest and Bengals/Browns!!! :cheer2:

Jenny, Please don't take John's comment to Ted the wrong way. It was meant to be funny. He was just kidding around with Ted. Please don't say anything to him about it. Ted is really enjoying the sport of it all. John is such a great kid! I'm glad to hear that your back is doing better. Have a great weekend!

I thought that you'd all enjoy this email I received from Chuck at All Seasons. I'd imagine we're going to see a lot of this stuff during our Med cruises!

REFLECTIONS ON A FIRST - THE SPECIAL 10-NIGHT SAILING OF THE DISNEY WONDER!

This newsletter comes to you from the Internet Café of the beautiful Disney Wonder. When Disney Cruise Line® first announced that the Disney Wonder would be doing one 10-night and one 11-night sailing in September 2006, I knew I wanted to be on board. Special itineraries aboard this great cruise line are just that - special! The opportunity to spend 10 nights aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel while visiting St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua and Castaway Cay was very appealing. But while I focused on the great opportunity, I gave little thought to all that Disney Cruise Line had to do to make this special sailing happen.

First there is the obvious. In the history of Disney Cruise Line three or less stops have been made at four of the ports on the 10- and 11-night itineraries. So there were logistical arrangements to be made regarding the mapping of the itinerary and the ports, the most obvious of which was the laying out of the itinerary and related shore excursions. But as Tom Wolber, Senior Vice President of Operations for Disney Cruise Line pointed out during his seminar last week that was only the beginning.

Since joining the fleet in 1999, the Disney Wonder has always done 3- and 4-night cruises. So let us begin with something as basic as hangers. Try to fit a 10- or 11-night wardrobe onto the number of hangers required for a 3- or 4-night cruise. And towel animals - do you think guests are going to settle for the same three or four towel animals to be repeated in sequence, night after night of their cruise?

Moving on to the dining room - how many more magic tricks and jokes will the servers and assistant servers need to keep families (especially small children) entertained on a cruise that is three times as long? And how many more ways can you fold a napkin? How about the menus? Lunch and dinner menus required 70 and 50 new entrées and 50 and 40 new desserts, respectively. Food preparation is not the only problem here - can you imagine Disney Cruise Line allowing servers and assistant servers to serve meals they are not intimately familiar with? Disney Cruise Line sees this as an opportunity to try new things, so the new menu items were generally not brought over from the Disney Magic®. In most cases, they were truly new! Eight new buffets were added along with eight new drinks of the day. Alternative casual dining, character breakfasts and Tea with Wendy Darling, staples aboard 7-night cruises of the Disney Magic were brought aboard the Disney Wonder for the first time.

Fifteen new entertainment experiences were added. Susan Eagan, the original Belle on Broadway and the voice of Meg in Disney's animated feature, Hercules, was brought onboard to perform. She was, in a word, spectacular! The Art of the Story, a wonderful new production show was premiered. Forty-five new youth programming events were added, as well as the all new Mouse-2-O. This new daytime deck party is best described as a 3-hour water carnival, Disney-style, with music, dancing, water games, prizes and appearances by the Disney characters, singers and dancers. Remember how passengers on the other cruise ships used to stare at us all as we danced the night away during deck parties in the Nassau Harbor - you know, those cruise ships that now have their own deck parties? Well, they will soon be doing it again! Just wait until they catch Mouse-2-O, especially once the big screen is put in place above the Goofy pool during dry dock. Once again, Disney Cruise Line proves itself to be on the cutting edge of family entertainment and definitely worthy of the Disney name.

Back in its home office in Celebration, FL, Disney Cruise Line has worked for over a year to make this sailing happen. Training aboard the ship for the past three or four months has been nonstop, all in anticipation of these two special sailings. But it all came together this week in incredible fashion. Most things worked, a few things did not, but the best parts of what happened over these two sailings will now become part of the product we all love.

The second night of the cruise I was fortunate to have dinner with Captain Henry, Tom Wolber, Don "Ducky" Williams and five other guests. The conversation was lively and enjoyable. Though everyone aboard continues to be noncommittal, I continue to get the feeling I got aboard the Disney Magic when I sailed a few weeks ago. The announcement we have all been waiting several years for - the one about new ship(s) and more exotic itineraries - may not be far off.

The passenger count aboard this week is just over 2000, approximately 60% of which have sailed on Disney Cruise Line before. You might think that "before" means once or twice. Think again, as Disney Cruise Line is not your typical cruise line! One couple I met on a previous inaugural sailing has done every inaugural. They have now sailed on Disney Cruise Line 25 times. Another couple has sailed 19 times and several couples or families I met have sailed 10 times or more, all on a cruise line with only two ships and in existence only eight years. It seems like anyone who has sailed before has sailed at least five or six times.

So if you are sitting back, thinking about booking that first Disney Cruise Line vacation, move into the action mode. Call All Seasons Travel at 800-771-8690 during the hours listed above. All of our agents have sailed on this product at least once, most having sailed several times. All know it well with each of them selling several staterooms per week. Our staff will courteously and efficiently answer all of your questions without high pressure sales tactics. Later, give us a call if you decide to book. If you will be traveling alone or with pre-teens or teens, consider one of next summer's Mediterranean sailings. Whatever you do, give All Seasons Travel a call and allow our knowledge and experience to work for you!

Lucy, Can you please send me contact info for Jack, your driver in Orlando? We're planning to go to Sea World one day and we won't have a rental car. We'll be a group of 9, 4 adults and 5 children. We're looking for r/t transportation from BCV to Sea World. Thanks.

Jenny has the number programmed into her cell - he is the greatest guy in the world! I don't have his number programmed - I just bother Jenny for it. I LOVE this man. He reminds me of a great uncle I adored many, many, many years ago. Even Tyler asks, "is Jack coming"?

Today, more rain - football game cancelled last night - shopped at WallyWorld...rescheduled today, raining again - Bob is working 7 AM - 9 PM - feel sorry for him guys.....I do.
Today consists of :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

JoAnn - why can't you PM the price of a round trip ticket to Barcelona - remember, I'm not saying YES, but I'm saying "looking at all the options".
I know we'll decide soon, and if not the Med, it will be the Wonder and another long trip to WDW this summer, and Cincinnati, and NJ, and NY.
Kathy will no longer be an east coaster, but I DO want to go back to Disneyland again and the Grand California. It IS a trip of a lifetime, but, guys, I like alot of vacations, and it would either be ONE trip next summer, or several......I'm so confused.

Hi Lucy,

Thanks. I found Jack through other sources and I spoke with him just a little while ago. He can't help us as he doesn't have a van but he put me in touch with the company he contracts with, Tiffany Towncar, and I was able to make a reservation with them for a private 10-passenger van for $65.00 r/t.

Why don't I see a trip to Virginia in your future travel plans, Lucy? My advice is to make up your mind quick about the Med as you need to book airfare as soon as possible if you decide to go for it. I recheck the pricing on my 6 June 2007 airfare every so often and all of the low fare classes are now sold out and the current prices are much higher than what I paid when the fares were first released.

Did you read the email I posted from Chuck at All Seasons? It sounds like a new ship will be announced very soon. The rumor is that the west coast will get a ship and there will be itineraries to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico. Coronado is looking better and better all the time! I'll have to start hosting my own shore excursions!

I just read in the lastest MouseSavers newsletter that 'The Seas With Nemo & Friends' Preview for Annual Passholders will begin on Friday 13 October at 9:00am. We're flying home that afternoon but we should have plenty of time to go over to Epcot that morning as we're staying right next door at the Beach Club. I was hoping that the Finding Nemo show at AK would be up and running during our visit but it's not scheduled to preview until early November.

Mom & Dad will be flying with DCL, I'm not sure what their details are, I'll have to check with them...............Mom? Dad?

Hope all are well on this beautiful weekend, Tara will be leaving us in just 9 days!!

OMG Kathy! You check out of BCV on Friday, flying out that afternoon. Mark and I get to Florida and check INTO the BCV that afternoon!!! We are flying into Tampa as we will end up there on Sat. p.m., meeting up with friends for the Bengals game at Tampa Bay on Sunday!!! We have fully planned on taking in the Nemo preview on Saturday!!

I just talked with "Mr. Jack" yesterday afternoon Kathy, how ironic! I actually called him because his wife is giving me Medicare advice for my mom. She is very knowledgable and offered her "services"! He is a wondeful man. My kids think he's like their grandfather!! I cannot count the number of people, including Lucy's family, that I have sent him. EVERYONE loves him!

Just got back from the Bengals/Browns game. It was HOT and we all got sun. Fortunately we had sunscreen because Marshall wouldn't keep his shirt on he was so hot!! We had a blast!

Debi ~ We sat at the hotel after the game and rooted like heck for the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets! I thought for sure they were going to pull it out! We kept seeing a bald guy with "Hansen" on his jersey go up and down the aisles yelling and screaming, and at one point he was on another guy's shoulders!!! THey kept showing him! He was a trip!

Want to let you know......Deb is OK! She is moving...promises to be on the thread real soon....movers come Wednesday  :cool1: :grouphug:

Hey Jenny
You thrashed me...did some last minute team changes or it would have been even worse. All my running backs were injured!!!
I hope this Clinton Portis Bloke sorts himself out soon :cheer2: :cheer2:

Now I need someone to rell me what my little guys have to do to get me the points ...rushing, field goals, can anyone point me to a beginners guide to American football on the web...I'm totally hooked on this fantasy stuff
Thanks Debi for letting me join!
I hope the move all goes to plan.

Kathy and Jenny i think we're gonna get lucky I heard tell of a new castle forcourt show starring Mickey and a new Toy story show...as well as the new Nemo ride, If the Ak show had a soft openiing at the end of Oct (due to open 12th Nov) all my xmas's would come at once!!

Hey DEbster.................WE NEED AN ADDRESS, PM US PLEASE!! I will try to call you, I've been slammed by work these last few weeks, I want to talk about flights, etc.!

BTW, Looster, DID YOU GET MY PM?????Also, don't I need to catch up with Bob???? Please let me know!!

All is well here, Tara is leaving in 8 days, Ken is now watching Tara birthday videos when she was 4...................... :sad1: and you thought MICCO loved his girls!!! We are in the final packout with our oldest, very emotional, exciting, scary and crazy! We need a hug for this one! :grouphug: Anytime, the "girls" or "couples" want to do a South Beach reunion, I'm game!!! :dance3:

Seriously, are we "in" for NYC, Jenny??? I will clear my calendar, anyone else??

Lynn, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK THE FF IS ABOUT!! :confused3

Hope all are well, GL deBI!!

JoAnn, I'm in for a girls weekend in South Beach! A couples weekend would take some serious advance planning for Ted's schedule and the kids.

Busy week here. This is thyroid scan week. I've been on the low iodine diet for 2 weeks now. Yesterday I had bloodwork and a thyroglobulin injection and I have another one this morning. Tomorrow I take a radioactive iodine pill and on Friday I have the body scan and repeat bloodwork. Then it's over! I catch a flight to San Diego later that afternoon. I get in at 7:42pm and I'm heading right to the Sushi Bar at Peohe's in Coronado.

I just realized that I'll be traveling every other week through October. Blink and it will be Christmas.

Gotta run...carpool awaits.
