I'm back! We had some crazy weather around here last night! Ken had no power in PA!

I just got to thinking, JoAnn. Surely Ken had a CANDLE somewhere in the house, right???? Your family isn't short on candles are they???

OK, so Lucy and Bob are on their way now...Lucy, girl what were you doing up at 2 in the morning, did you sleep at all?

Jenny and Mark - Leaving tomorrow, have a safe trip down.

We will keep the board alive this week.

Looks like I may be going solo, so I may need to steal Kathy to be my buddy. Maybe a slumber party at my place with the girls will be in order. I don't think we would get much sleep though!

Yesterday was one of those really rough days. The a/c was still not working (although by the time I left at 3:30, they were working on it), plus finding out Micco wasn't coming and then the kicker, Mommy did a big boo boo. When Ale was home for the one day in June, she had some papers to sign for school. Well one of the papers we didn't read too well and signed it and sent it back, turns out it was the Petition to Cancel Residence Hall contract. So now Alex has no room for the fall and she is on the waiting list. Chances are she will be living at home. I was a basket case yesterday, totally distraught about what a big mistake I had made. But being the great kid that she is, she is OK with it. She asked if she could take the apartment at home and Micco and I don't have a problem with that. She really is a great kid and I'm not just saying that. Any other kid would have gone ballistic! But not my Alex. I don't know what I did to deserve her, but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. God blessed me with that child! She sounded like she was actually getting excited to fix up the apartment!

Well, hope Lucy, Bob and family have a safe trip down. One week from today we will be there too.

Bagels for the gang on Friday morning. Lucy and Jenny - Will call you as soon as we get in Thursday. Lucy - If you read this, Alex may have a shift change next week, I will give her your number and she will let you know. I am jealous because you guys will see her before us!

I am disappointed that Micco can't join us! I hope everything is o.k. with his cousin though. How is he doing?

Debi trust me we will have a blast! Mark is excited that I have someone to "play with"! He really would be happy sitting at the ESPN Club eating his chicken wings and drinking "Buzz Lightyear" (as Marshall used to call it!). This way I can run and play and he won't feel guilty. Usually on vacation we do a mix of all running together and M&M and I going around. John wavers between us and the ESPN with Mark. Those two could watch baseball in there until the cows came home!!!

Also, Debi there is no doubt that Alex is special. She is so neat! I know my kids are totally hooked on her! She bring a special light into any room she walks into. She is amazing for sure! It appears she is excited for the apartment and it will all work out in the end! GREAT ATTITUDE ALEX!

I am really getting pumped today. I have to pack and load the car. Mark cannot leave work until around 2 tomorrow, so I am going to take the kids to Mom's or a friend's house and go into work. I will be too antsy to sit around here until 1:30. Today I will finish laundry and pack while watching my boy Bronson Arroyo pitch since the Reds play in the afternoon. I LOVE Bronson Arroyo!!

So, Luce and family should be sitting in Atlanta right now. They had a lay over there.

I will take my computer and be online until Saturday night. I will have it at WDW, but I don't know how much I will go on at $9.95 for 24 hours! It all depends on how much inventory I have to move before we return from our vacation. Right now, I have around 5-6 pairs of seats in St. Louis that I need to move, so I will be on as long as I still have those tickets.

Mark gave me my anniversary gift last night (our 11th anniversary is Sat.). He is taking me to Chicago for the weekend of Aug. 25th and we have tickets to see WICKED!!! The Cubs are on the road, so we have a NO GAME weekend! I can shop on Michigan Avenue all day Sat. too!!! The kids will stay back with my friend Debbie and my mom!!!! My mom keeps telling me I am spoiled....so what's wrong with that I ask???

My houseguests just left this morning and the gals I'm carpooling with took Owen to W&M and Amy to Y Camp so I'm alone and trying to catch up. I now have 3 beds to change and towels to wash and kids' room to straighten up. Yeah right! I'll get to it later.

Debi, Alex is such a doll. I wasn't surprised by her reaction to the news. She took it in what I have now come to know as 'true Alex fashion'. Great kid!

Safe travels, Lucy!!! Today is Tara's 22nd birthday and I WAS 22 WHEN SHE WAS BORN! She pointed that out to me this morning!

Anyway, I must have missed something.....Micco is definitely not going?? I thought he was coming late??? Oh well, no worries, remember, MARK is buying so we'll have a blast!!

Deb, I'll switch ya, Tracy for Alex right now (jkjkjkjk) Seriously, Jessica has been at college soccer camps for the last two weeks (and while were in WDW) so it's really weird looking for the third time. I say the closer the better so you can work out the problems when they happen! GL with that fiasco.

Hey JoAnn! Boy, it's quiet around here without Lucy and Jenny. We're expecting thunderstorms tonight too. It was Africa hot here today. I've got Amy standing in front of me as I type crying for a snack. I can't wait to get away next week. I wonder what Lucy and Jenny and families are up to? I've got alot to do before Sunday to get ready to go. I'm getting ready to book our airfare from Barcelona to San Diego. Continental has the best flights for us. We're not going to spend any extra time over there as Ted feels that after 25 days away we'll be ready to get home. I don't want to have to deal with our luggage. If we spend exta days in Barcelona or in Paris we'll have to drag all of our luggage all over the place. I'm nervous enough about airline weight limits. I don't want to deal with a European carrier like Ryan Air and their lower limits. I'm trying to keep this trip as simple as possible. Debi, the Continental flights will work well for you guys. It's nonstop from Barcelona to Newark! It doesn't get any easier than that! We are going to have so much fun next weekend. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to getting away.

Actually I am still hanging around! I am sitting in the hotel room with the kids watching "Hannah Montana" on Disney Channel waiting out a rain delay!! It's raining pretty hard here, so I expect a double header tomorrow! I started with margaritas in the bar at 4 p.m. happy hour. I had to quit and come up here before it got "bad"!!! I am going to nap and wait on the verdict. If they have the game tonight, Mark will probably take John and leave M&M to "rest" with me! Mallory has already requested her pajamas! Sounds good to me!!!

I called Lucy tonight. They are having a great time and loved the Emeril's restaurant today. She can tell you all about it next weekend!

I'll check in again tomorrow! We will have access until at least Sunday morning, so I'll keep you up if I talk to Lucy again!

In the mean time:Where the heck is Lynn??????????????????Now that DisDaddy has checked in, it's your turn Lynn!!!!!

Yes, it's going to get real quiet around here, with Lucy and Jenny away. I am glad to hear Lucy and family are having a good time.

We are also enjoying some good rain and thunderstorms this afternoon. I thought the power was going to go out at the store. By the way, I got my a/c back. I walked in yesterday morning and it was like an ice box, I had to put a sweater on.

WTG, Debi, so glad to hear about the AC (You know how cranky I get about AC during the school year!!) Our power at home was returned TODAY!! That is the longest we haven't had power in 20 years in my neighborhood, how nuts is that??

I'm glad you're coming, Kathy, hang in there! There is a thread for all med cruisers, check it out, there are several excellent suggestions for flying, etc. next summer!

I haven't decided how long we will go to Europe, I have never traveled there before, but I am concerned about being away longer than our 11 days of cruising. We are very close to Newark, so that would be an excellent place for us to depart as well! Maybe we could fly with you Deb, and your family?

I really think I can get the "folks" to join us at least for Saturday in October when Lynn and Keith visit! Especially if we book a show (I hope we can discuss this next week )

Hey Jenny, I LOVE bunking up with the kids in hotel rooms, I know it's weird but so cozy, so ENJOY!! Soon you will be in paradise!!!

We had a grand time tonite....JoAnnnm is trying to currupt me with all the booze,gambling,and fast women well,( if you can consider granddaughters as "fast" ... )..I know this if those skirts get any "shorter" someone should get arrested
In any event it was a good time ,I won more money than JoAnnmmm,I mean It was pityfull I creamed her The meal was wonderfull,and we had to leave the Borgoto before I broke the bank HeeHee....another Vodka and it would have to be dancing time..

Sorry everyone been too busy here to even look in on the boards let alone post. A week ago we had parent's evenings and a couple of late governors meetings, this week performances, last weekend i flew to Ireland to meet our US friends and had a great time with them but got back late sunday night, Keith stayed Monday too so i had another airport run to do. Last night was our staff do...I'm sorry I missed Lucy I thought I had until this weekend, oh well I'll send them through to Joann and Debi today if that's ok.
This weekend I will be cleaning as oour friends arrive on Friday. We are staying in London on Thursday night straight after school.

4 more days I'm on count down now.....then I can join the rest of you party animals....
