Ok, here's the thinking with the Diversions at 10pm.

a) it's late and everyone will be tired :smooth:

b) it's after the second seating for those people who are eating then :earsboy:

c) what would be a better time? :confused3

d) once I did 3pm at the Goofy pool but many did not show b/c of unpacking and other schedule conflicts.

e) we have the drill at 4; the sailaway at 5 :cloud9:

What do you think? That's why I originally chose the 10pm time but I do understand how tired we will all be the first day  ...........suggestions and alternatives are welcome!! :listen:

We'll probably all end up meeting each other in the terminal....sounds like a lot of waiting takes place..... :rotfl:

How about at the sailaway? or in the gap between dinner seatings around 7;30pm in the Promenade lounge, or I'm a night owl we could order room service cheese platter and you could all come to my cabin and we could have a slumber party then it wouldn't matter if Lucy showed up in her PJs!?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When are you meeting at Whitewater snacks? I think that will be the night we need to take in either the electrical parade or the fireworks, but we can try and be there if you give us a time

Lucy thank you for saying I was your favourite Brit....I'm I the only one you know? :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm on form this morning

I am fine with the original plan of 10:00 at Diversions if you all are........ It's not like we have to get up and go to work!! :cool1: I have a spa treatment at 8:00 a .m. on Sunday (only one left during the at sea days on the website), but that would be what DH and I refer to as a "roll and go" thing!

Lucy in her p.j.s????? :scared1: Just kidding Lucy! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

10:00 at Diversions is good for us, we will be ready to PARTY, I think I already am. Only 1 month from today we leave for this MUCH NEEEDED VACATION. Are all the DISers getting their Alien Green Mickeys (I've got mine already) from Home Depot, that way maybe we can spot each other in the terminal!
Debi

10 is still good for me, I like the environment of Diversions it's cozy! If everyone still likes that idea, let's keep it there. Remember, each family must bring a brown bag (approximately $10) of a item or items from our local area ...for example, Lucy could bring shoe fly pie from Lancaster (jkjkjkjk)

My problem with meeting before the cruise is that I am also not sure what we will be doing on Wed, Thurs and Fri.........how about Sat morning for breakfast at the GC Whitewater Snacks....is that a good idea?? :goodvibes

:cool1: No offense everyone (and I'm looking forward to meeting each and every one of you)......but, I want to meet when BILL can meet.....do you
think 10:00 is TOO late for the NJ guy? Respond BILL!
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

NEXT, I can't wait till 10:00 to meet everyone, but let's make that the
time for the exchange, ok? Lisa, is that ok with you? (I truly don't
want to miss out on the "chance" of winning that Rodeo Drive bag!) :rotfl2:

I am going to TRY to be at all these times and if anyone can meet, just
show up, ok?
Friday, Whitewater Snacks, between 4:30-5:00 - I will wear a lime green Castaway Cay shirt, ok? :wave2:
Saturday, Whitewater Snacks, for coffee, at 8:00-8:30 (hopefully we will be picked up - once I FINALLY arrange transportation!!!) at 9:00 by some kind of shuttle. :rolleyes1
Saturday, the terminal, remember I'll be the one in an early group - my husband will wear (he doesn't know it yet!) a lime green shirt and I'll have some kind of lime green on, ok? :disrocks:
Saturday, you WILL find me at Scoops, knocking over all the little precious children, between 2-3. :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar
Saturday, 10:00, Diversions :drinking1
Sunday, on deck, eating breakfast at Topsiders (unless we have the
character breakfast scheduled) - but I will be there all day long, near the adult pool, drinking either coffee or diet coke (remember the rule, if you drink coffee or a diet soda with ice cream/or any kind of dessert, it cancels out all the calories). :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar
That is Lucy's schedule.

Lynn: I would LOVE to have a PJ party in your room, anytime, but I'm trying to find the person that booked the Walt Disney Suite - they are the ones I want to have a pajama party with at night! AND, yes, you ARE the only Brit I 'know'! (ha!ha!ha!ha!)

and, Jenny, very funny about the "Late Night" the first night - I will make it, I will make it, I will make it.....I'm just going to be telling myself that over and over. I hope we truly can sit up on deck in the morning with our coffee - I usually go up there before my family gets up and they meet me up there for breakfast (my breakfast, every morning, consists of fruit and Mickey waffles - that's it!)

and, finally, Debi, I have been picking up the lime green heads at Home Depot but don't know what the heck I'm going to do with them - any suggestions?
(my DH keeps saying, when I pick them up, NOT AGAIN!)

Lucy I can commit to possibly Scoops......... :rotfl2: :rotfl: Diversons at 10:00 is still fine for me, but I am flexible! Once the kids clubs open I am a "free woman"!!! :cool1: :cool1: I will meet on the ship whenever you guys want to. I am very excited about this!! :cool1:

I got an e-mail from a school chum who wants to meet me on Thurs. prior to the cruise. She lives 5 minutes from Rodeo Drive!!! She works for an agent in Hollywood. I think that sounds so fun!!! DH and DS11 will be at the Dodgers game (2nd round). I love my baseball, but I just want to see some "sights". DH and DS11 are not the "sightseers", so this can be a fun thing. :bounce:

JoAnn How are the plans coming along for your family?

Lynn Hang in there........ Just remember, you are so busy that the time will fly faster!! :)

California Girls Are you still singing "I feel the Earth, move, under my feet"!! (Carol King, is that right 40s + generation???? :rotfl2: ) I hope all is well and you & your families are all safe! :wave2:

DH mentioned this morning that he needs to try on his tux....... I didn't want to say "yeah Dude, you've put on a couple of pounds  since your last wearing"! But, did highly recommend he do that. I tried on my formal skirt a couple of weeks ago and got to take it to the taylor to have it TAKEN IN a little!! I was a little, but it was IN!!!! :cool1:

I took the kids shopping yesterday for khakis, shoes, etc. I am very tired of preparing for them! :rotfl2: I am ready to shop for MOMMY!! :goodvibes

I've been tracking with you folks...I've continue to mourn for the beloved Phillies, and they continue to play like "little leagures'..I've been tracking with the local minor league team ..Atlantic City Surfs .... :cool1:
As you know ...JoAnn  is keeping us informed as to the upcoming events,I'm working on my "Brown Bag", Pirate wear, and will be present ,when ever ,and where ever you folks agree on.... :cheer2:
The recent "Hooked on fishing , not on drugs" outing was terrific,it's a wonderfull program and I'm proud to be part of it... :wave2:
Well, the big weekend is coming up, good weather is fo'casted,we expect visiters, you all are invited also... :Pinkbounc
What is the lime green heads...Here in Brig the Green Head is a nasty fly ,that bites like hell,...!! is there a connection...??
I'm also looking forward to Lucy in the PJ's... :cheer2: HooHaa...
I'll stay awake for anyone elses PJ"S also............... :rotfl:

I wish DS8 was near you. He truely loves fishing. He once won a trip at WDW through the BWV and was "hooked'. DH and I don't fish, don't want to fish, and have NO intentions of. Sorry, just can't do it!!! He needs a "fishing mentor/buddy"!!!! We have no male relatives nearby, nor fishermen in the family. What's a kid to do in that position!!! :confused3

As for your Phillies..........the Reds look like T-ballers!! DH and DS11 will be attending one of the five annual season ticket holder luncheons Friday. They have about 100 people each session. It is hosted by a media person and usually includes upper management and 3-4 players. DH is ready with some poingnant questions for management......... Glad not to be there!! I went last year with DS, so it's DH turn.

Me too! DS7, all he talks about is having his daddy take him fishing (and he's never been). I'm not sure what DS7 thinks he's gonna catch, but he asks all the time, "Dad, when are you gonna take me fishing?" DH bought the fishing poles and gear LAST YEAR!!! He just needs to stop traveling for work.

10pm is good with me, I just *might* be stag....we'll see. 2pm in SCOOPS, sounds PERFECTO to me! :cool1:

Bill - The "Alien Green" Mickeys are those paint chip samples from Home Depot. Alien Green is the color. From what I have gotten from the boards, the DISers use them to identify themselves. Sounds kind of like a cult, huh...LOL :rotfl2:

Lucy - I was thinking of putting the Alien Green Mickeys on the luggage (that's whtat we did last time) and also maybe making magnets (or adhesive - depending on if the magnets work or not) to stick on our Cabin door. We still don't have a room assignment, so I can't even tell where we're going to be. This way at least the kids could find each other easier. I don't know, just a thought.

Also, the gift exchange, does that have to be food? Seems like from what I've read most of the items are food. I would love to bring you guys some NYC pizza or bagels (only the best anywhere) but I don't think it would survive. LOL. Maybe some Brooklyn Lager Beer!!! :goodvibes Somebody help me out with this one!!
Debi

Shame none of you you guys live in Maryland cos I could 'hook' you up with Jim my DISer mate from our last cruise, he introduced us to fishing when we stayed with him and his family last summer. He's always looking for a mate to go with as he has girls and they are getting to the teen years when they're not quite so keen to fish with dad, cos shopping with mum is more attractive. Although the eldest does work in a bait shop during the summer. I'm sure he'd love two little fishing buddies.
:)
Bill
We'll come to the meet in night attire as long as you promise to wear that thong!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Why doesn't Bill take ALL the children on a fishing excursion in one
of the ports (including my 13 yr. old) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone willing to take that challenge could only do it by "getting merry" first!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Don't worry folks........he has NO PROBLEM with the getting "merry" part!! :cool1:

Ok, thx to Lucy for the enthusiastic DISmeet response!! :grouphug:

I guess I'll be out shopping for Lime green shirts AND pirate wear!! pirate:

Having been to Rodeo Drive this year........go for it!!

About the brown bags........I guess I'm thinking in terms of food but it really doesn't have to be food if you have a better idea.......

Would you believe that two summers ago, my DD15 was invited to a sleepover in one of the suites on our second night cruising......so you can ask her what it's like.........I amazingly let her go........it was crazy but cool!

Our cruise is soooooooo close now.........I'm really getting psyched!! :cloud9:

Hey..... that's a great idea, take all the little people fishing :rotfl:
not a problem, your credit cards, my limited skill's, we could buy a boat and cruise back up the coast, fishing all the way...... :Pinkbounc

jfis.... Your DS8 will have to meet up with another guy who is a fisherman...!!
that was the only way I could learn ,there was no one available for me either....It is a great activity for a young guy,I've seen a couple young troubled people help turn their lives around because of the diversion it offered....( I'm not implying your DS8 is a troubled person......!)
of course, there was additional help too....!! in any event if all else fails send him East,we'll get him started... :sunny:
Lynn..... Ya had to bring that thong thing back up....!! you got a deal :cheer2:
Debi.... Alien green chips, from Home Depot....I'll have to check them out.... :goodvibes
Does anyone remember the # where the names and addresses was,I've miss placed my list.... :wave2:
JoAnn... I'll get the green chips,if you get me a Pirate shirt.... :rotfl: by the way...that will have to be XXL

I would KILL for a slice, actually two slices, of NYC pizza and don't even mention the BAGELS!!!!! There's nothing like them anywhere except in NY!!!! Those two items are the things I miss most from NY. Every time we go back to see my family, my dad knows we MUST have pizza at least twice and bagels every morning. Californians THINK they know how to make pizza....by as my Daddy says...."faaget about it!" We can't even talk bagels.

Anyway, it doesn't have to be food, I think most of us were thinking food because we all seem to LOVE food, but anything is AOK!!!!
