Lisa/Liz/mcbaby (can't remember your identity ~ I hope the earth settles down out there soon!!! I think of you guys often and pray for safety for you and your family!!!

This is what we call "Shake and Bake"!

I think I booked with Prime Shuttles today. I got the name from the passporter book. I have confirmation numbers and shuttles scheduled for every leg of our journey. I will double check the name and pass the website along. One step closer....................... pirate:

I read the Passporter book today. It really has some excellent suggestions! I do highly recommend this book for our cruise! :goodvibes

THAT was really good (Shake and Bake) - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will be cancelling (today) one of my PALO dinners (reserved two since
we have two cabins) - I booked it for Pirate night and I don't want to
miss being in the dining room that night. We will keep the Wednesday
evening PALO night 6-8. pirate:
I also have two PALO brunches scheduled, Sunday and Monday but
I don't have the heart to cancel one of them - I LOVE the brunch.....
IF any, I will cancel the Sunday one - anyone need it? It is for 4 people. :wave2:

My DH informed me last evening that THIS YEAR 'we' are going to attend
the evening clubs (70's & 80's night) - you see, I am an early-to-bed-early-
to-rise person, he is NOT.....maybe this 'old lady' will need to take naps
during the day (we DO have inside cabins). :dancer:

SUNDAY it will be one month till we leave for California :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Lucy Funny you would say that about your DH. Mine told me the exact same thing!!!! I too am an early to bed girl! Anyhow I guess if we get tired, they can entertain each other!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

ONE MONTH................THAT'S AWESOME!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc  :cool1:  :cool1:

Hey guys! I love the 70s and 80s theme nights, they are so much fun! However, for the last few cruises we have had Que as the MC and I hear that he is gone.......it is a tragic loss! Bingo is another favorite for us!

I have been researching our trip using the Passporter and a book about Mexico. I am thinking of changing our excursions to just beach ones and then touring the HRCs, etc. in each port (for the Tshirts!) pirate:

I just hope the weather improved to and from on the sea days!! :cloud9:

I have alerted Bill about his absence.....he should be back soon, he had a rough week and there is the "Hooked on Fishing" event tomorrow.........you know him and his fishing!! :smooth:

Look what someone JUST posted on the "Live from the 6/18 Magic"

DBIL went deep sea fishing yesterday (Cabo) and caught an 8 1/2 foot blue marlin that weighed just under 150 pounds. What a day! He is having it stuffed and sent back home. He has been on cloud nine ever since.

(I thought maybe this would get a post from you...we miss you!)

JoAnn: we want to find a Del Sol in one of the ports - bought shirts
in Nassau and they are STILL changing colors, after many washings!

Jenny - EXCELLENT idea.....my DH and your DH husband - they can
go to the clubs while we 'wimp' out....BUT, we will be out on that deck
having early morning coffeee.....right? a funny: I always used the excuse
I had to go back to bed with the children - not any more, my children stay awake alot later than I do!....let's see, now I will need to go back to check
if there is a 'towel animal' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Has ANYONE heard from the "UK" lately????? Oh, yes, I forgot,
Lynn is in school :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
(sorry, Lynn)

Hi kids... as always I'm overwhelmed with the activity you guy's are into...
no wonder your "crashing" so earily.... :rotfl: But enough of the earily to bed /earily rise stuff.... :Pinkbounc Damm the torpedo's full speed ahead...!!
let the party begin.... get crazy....
You must have JoAnn tell the story about Me and One Son dancing to"YMCA"
on the last cruise....I'm sure that was why Que was transfered...!! pirate:
Hey, stop worrying about Cal "breaking" off and going to sea ....!!they been saying that for years :wave2: The burning stuff is not good... :sad2: I hope all you "Calli's" are ok....
That's quite a fish.... I wish the guy well, can you imagine trying to get that fish in the overhead stowage...!!
So, Let's "get merry" folks, start today :goodvibes crack out the "Mogan David" wine, and the 70/80's CD's and start practicing for the Cruise :cheer2: :cheer2:
who luv's ya.... :cool1:

Bill's finally back! We did some fishing with Dad today but alas, no magic!! We caught a few small kingfish thanks to a lady down the beach but still had a great time!!

Then off to the Jersey beach......what a beautiful day today! I hope all had a great weather day today............summer is finally here!! :Pinkbounc

Okay it's Sunday here and my only undiaried day between now and the cruise, yes Lucy I'm still in school and up to my eyes in reports, parent consultations, sports days, music week, year 6 residential, reheasals and performance of Robin Hood ( do ya think the parents would notice if we just put on the disney film and told them it was their darlings dressed up!!)
Then Leavers service, a training day and it's SoCal here we come.
Wow I'm exhausted just typing it. On top of all that we've decided to remortgage our home because of interest rates here, looks like we'll get a REALLY GOOD DEAL WITH THE NEW COMPANY, BUT OH MY THE PAPERWORK!!!!
Sorry hit caps lock by mistake but since it reflects my hysteria so well i'm gonna leave it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Got Keith's pirate outfit sorted yesterday so that's one less thing, Black cut offs, open weave raw cotton long sleeved shirt, brocade waistcoat and a red sash. We'll buy some tinklets at the P of the C ride in disney hopefully.
At the moment I've got a white peasant skirt and top, I need a waistcoat or something to go with it. i love dress up this is fun. Just wish there wasn't a weight limit.

We are still planning Randi's horse riding and then a tour with Frank in Mazatlan. The tour with Frank will be 1:15pm - 4:00pm. He can do 10 people in the van and so far it is only us 2 so if anyone would like to join us let me know, he's got really good reviews from the other DISers that have used him

JoAnn and I (is that right, JoAnn?) have decided that maybe
Whitewater Snacks at the Grand California (apparently you just step
outside of CA and there it is) will be the pre-meeting spot to our
Diversions, first night, 10:00 meeting......what is the consensus -
anyone have a preference of night/day? I was kindof thinking Friday
afternoon/evening? By then everyone should be in town.
Anyone interested? PLEASE (yes, i meant ALL caps!) give us ideas
and/or responses...... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Lynn: after your post, I've got to rest :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ......

Please feel free to meet at that time..... We will be in SD drinking margaritas at PetCo park & watching our pathetic Cincinnati Reds! :rolleyes1 I will not be offended if you all set a time and we can't make it. :flower:

"California Girls" and "DL veterans" We are definitely going to do DL on Tuesday & Wednesday. We will be there for part of Thursday. Will we have "enough time" to feel like we have had the MAGIC? :wizard: Should we drive out to a beach for a couple of hours one day to say we have done it? I don't know how different the Pacific experience would be from the Atlantic. :confused3

Dearest Lynn I can so relate to your post when school is in session and particularly starting to wrap up....... :smooth:

MAYBE we could 'run' into each other on Tuesday or Wednesday?
please! Great idea: YOU buy dinner..... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Oh, yea, Jenny - we already have something in common: "pathetic Reds
AND pathetic Phillies" (comment, Bill?)

I found someone on another thread looking for a friend for her 8 yr. old
daughter, she is sailing on our cruise - I told her/him (?) to join our thread.
This was the title of the thread if anyone with children that age wants
to respond.....
July 30 Western - 8 yr DD wants to meet friend

Well, you are going to be cruising the Pacific, so you can always hit the beaches in Mexico and say you have been to a Pacific beach. I for one do not care for the California beaches; I've probably been 20 times in the last 35 years! Nothing compared to the Gulf Coast beaches. I would not waste time here.

As for how much time you need at Disneyland and California Adventure; yes, you can do it all in two days, but with the crowds this summer, I would give it more. It usually takes us two days during the summer to hit all our favorites.

I would agree with MacBaby, 2 days is generally enough time to do DL and CA, although it was very crowded when we were there on Monday and that wasn't even the height of the summer. If you can squeeze in the extra day then I'd go for it, unless you're not very ambitious about all you see at the DL resort, then 2 days would be fine. I also agree about the Pacific...it's the same Pacific in Mexico, so if you beach there, it's the same as beaching in CA, for the most part.

:flower:

I just realized that we have planned a 10:00 meeting the first night at Diversions.....do you think you can stay awake that long???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

very funny......
I'll be there in my Mickey Mouse nightshirt! (was that too much information?) :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

As my kids would say..............TMI (TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!) !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OH LOOK!! I hit my 500th post!!! :cool1:  :cool1:

JMO: on Pacific Coast beaches...I've been a few times and I can compare them to many Carribean ones, the Gulf coast, the Atlantic in NJ, MD, VA, SC, FL and MX...I do agree that the previously mentioned beaches are better BUT I would go to the California beaches b/c of all the times we have seen them on TV shows and movies. They are a sight to see, we saw Santa Monica/Venice Beach this spring and it was really cool. (So was the water!) I saw the beaches of San Diego and La Jolla and we really had fun there too.

The Diversions meet can be changed if people think it's too late for our first night??

Whatever you think, Lucy, Whitewater Snacks sounds good, probably Friday will work for us but I'm still not sure what we are doing that day. We are planning on DL for Thursday and maybe Wednesday.

Sry Lynn about the end of school insanity, we hear ya!! I like your idea about the the P of C ride for pirate wear, great idea!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: That was mentioned just because Lucy's DH, as well as mine have already "informed" us that we ARE going to go the clubs and night events more on this cruise!!! Lucy and I tend to both be early to bed types!! We just might have to try napping!!! I am an early girl, so coffee anyone???

Diversions at 10:00 works fine for me.......I'll be so pumped I will be ready to party!!!

Diversions: I'm thinking it could be too late, or it could be too much for the first day, especially for those who've never done DCL...I'm not sure. If worst came to worst and it were too late for my family, I'd come alone. So, I'm good with whatever we decide (I'm the night owl in the family...always the last person to leave the party :cool1: )

Beaches: JoAnn's point is a good one...the beaches in CA, espcially Venice/Santa Monica are always splashed (pun intended) on TV, so it is a sight to see...I guess you just have to do what your want to do the most. Why does time have to fly by?! :hourglass
