Lucky Lucy is NOT bored, believe me . Tonight I crashed on the sofa for 15 minutes. I follow that little baby around all day long . NO, I'm not complaining , and I don't mind when it is happening, but by nighttime, I'm done. Her parents are the kind of parents who will NEVER introduce her to Disneyworld (that is how artsy professors are...but not my artsy Tara )...BUT, in this house, I'm surprised if her next word, after mamma and dadda will NOT be Mickey. Her mom says she recognizes Mickey everywhere (I've done my job! )...NOW, her mother only brings me the Mickey diapers - I LOVE IT!

What is a Beagle? (and don't tell me it is a dog!)

Our town, Kutztown, has been in the news more than we want to count lately. This past summer we had that mini tornado, with alot of destruction, two weeks ago a college student was murdered on our Main Street, by 3 thugs from out of town. Last week a college student was killed walking on the railroad tracks, late at night, intoxicated, in the next town. TODAY, we had a fire in town, destroyed a very old beer distributor that has been in business forever. Hope we are done.

We have been taking state tests, so it's a boring week! I hate it!! So, anyway our kids are NOT to have homework. So, Marshall's teacher gave him an English test that he missed last week and sent home Math homework. I don't mind the HW, except he didn't tell me and thinking no homework never dreamt to ask him if he had any. So, at 7:45 (when I should have been leaving for John's FB game) he tells me. Of course his meds are worn off, so I have to sit by his side to ensure it gets finished and is legible. When I FINALLY get through that, I start out the door to the game and the X calls. John got hit BAD, was semi consious (sp?) and they were taking him by car to the ER!!

I got there first since my house if closer to the hospital than the school. It was scary how he was semi responsive. After a CAT scan, X rays, and an EKG they determined that he has a mild concussion, neck strain, and contusions of the chest and abdomin. I was really worried myself about his spleen, but thankfully these were all "minor" injuries. He did learn that he liked the morphene!!! So, I am at home with him today since I had to take him back to the pediatrician for a follow up. He's on the DL for a few days......................... So, maybe if you guys wouldn't mind a little cheery note to him at jete1@bluemarble.net He's pretty bummed about not playing for a few days.

MY FF team Bill????? I haven't been really following it like I should, but it doesn't look as if I am doing really well. I need to get to studying!!

How 'bout them Phillies???? Bring back memories of the '84 (is that right) team??? YOu know Mark's great grandpa (who played for the Phillies) always wanted to live long enough to see them win the pennant one more time. They were about 10-11 games out when he died that year and came back to win it that year!!! Strange, isn't???

As far as the Reds...............toilet!!! Bengals............not too far behind!!

Mickey diapers..........so glad NOT to be doing that anymore. I changed diapers for 9 years solid and at one point two at the same time in diapers!!!

JoAnn - my student teacher is a dream!! SHe is so good and it has been a BREEZE!!!!

Gotta tell that boy to use this injury as an excuse to forget anything he has to forget (homework, taking out garbage, etc. etc. etc.)

I am TOTALLY alone right now and loving every minute of it. Tyler at high school football game, Bob working, Bryan "chilling" with friends...this is GREAT!
I might even pick up the remote control and use it

I have been watching the Travel Channel all day too. I am ironing while watching. Mark is watching the Bengals who are in Seattle. Our tailgate crew all went, so they keep calling asking what the TV is saying about injuries, etc.

John is feeling better. He has finally realized though that he has to sit out this week because of the concussion.

Tara is home! Remember, Tara we'll be in Miami Dec. 29-30 if you are still there!!!

It's a lazy night........it rained FINALLY today! It has been so long that I can't even pull weeds because the ground is hard and cracked. I cannot remember the last rain we had!

I hope all is well at work JoAnn. One of the girls next door to me is having year from he#% and I feel so bad for her.

This weekend is the last weekend of baseball season. But, the Bengals are on MOnday Night Football this week, so everyone watch for us. We'll be wearing orange and black!

Hey Jenny..........it's not really my class.........our school is hosting a transition for a "special" population which is being integrated very quickly into an inclusion set-up........we are no longer looking at ability, just social needs.......it makes me nervous b/c I'm not sure how it will play out. I'm glad you're off to a good start!!!

I wonder where "retired" LuLu is??? I guess Lynn is never coming back?? Where's Debi??

JoAnn - I have been in a fully inclusive setting for the last 15 years. It has it's good and bad points. It works well with LD and even some MiMH, but the EH, BD, etc. struggle with the general setting. Good luck!

howdy all...

hope everyone is doing good out there. things have been real busy so its kind of hard for me to keep up but I like to pop in when I can. Everyone is doing well on this end although we are still hurting in our very empty house with out chivas, but each day gets a little bit better.

so the jets and the eagles are tied Bill? I have a plane ticket riding on the oct. 14th game, and its not a cheap ticket, go jets!!

Jenny how far away from springboro ohio are you? its about thirty minutes outside of dayton and I'll be up there next week for five days visiting the boyfriend....i'll have my car so if you're within driving distance, I'd love to take a ride while the boy is in show for a couple of hours. I was there last week but I had the flight from hell after my dayton to detroit and my detroit to JFK flight...we almost ran out of fuel ::smacks head:: a simple hour and fifteen minute flight took almost five hours...needless to say I wasn't to thrilled nor was my mom who was waiting for me at the other end. The flight going out there wasnt great either, I actually got sick and when I tried to get to the bathroom before I got sick, the lady on the aisle wouldn't move because she was "reading." Yay trashy people. I ended up collapsing in Joel's arms when I got there completely dehydrated and in a state of panice =/

Glad to hear the student teachers are working out. I'm actually going to get my substitute teaching license next semester so I am quite excited about that.

Aside from that things are busy but yet pretty quiet. Just alot of school, alot of sorority, finally back at work.

anywho...hope all is well...i'm going to retire to my little nook, finish some homework, talk to the boy and than crash like its my job.
