First, my sympathies to the Bolusi's. Chivas was a great dog...not being a dog person, she slept with me all three nights I stayed at the house. She was a sweetheart. Just remember, we treat dogs better than humans. At least she was allowed to die with dignity and didn't have to suffer.
As for WDW......first, we picked the kids up at 1:00. I gave them the cards and they were puzzled. After they finally realized that they were going too, they were SPEECHLESS. That is a first for those two, as you all know!!

We talked for about 15 minutes about
MNSSHP, dinner for Mom and Dad and their Sandcastle Club ressie. They then, still quite dumbstruck, both fell asleep in the car. We flew from Louisville, KY so they slept about an hour, while I drove. But, when they woke up......they realized

We hadn't flown from Louisville before, but many people had told us it was a great, convenient airport and they were right. We parked right by the door to the terminal in a garage. Easy in and easy out.
Our flight was late an hour landing due to weather, so we circled Tallahassee all that time! We opted for DME and it was easy to get out there because it was the end of the evening, but the queues definitely made us think. That could become a rat race easily!!!!

We got to BWV around 9 p.m. We walked to Seashore Sweets (remember we were taking the kids for ice cream????

), then we went to ESPN for dinner (the kids got their meal backwards!!!). When we returned to the room, the luggage was there which was a relief!!
The next morning the kids woke us up having made us a pot of coffee on their own. Actually they did a great job making it, but it was only 6 a.m.!!

But, we were determined to make it a fun filled weekend, so we got up, drank out coffee and headed to the pool, yes it was only 7 a.m.!!! We hung out there until around noon. Mark and I showered and we packed up. We pool hopped to the Polynesian. The kids swam and we drank!!!
The source of my frustration all weekend was the fact that there were NO RESSIES available for table service restaurants, due to the free dining promo. Well, at the suggestion of a CM, I showed up at O'Hanas at 3:45. They told me they could seat me, but it might be 15-20 minutes. I was fine with that. I went downstairs to get the kids and we went to the lounge. We ordered drinks and at EXACTLY 4 p.m., before they even served us our pina coladas, our buzzer went off!!

We were there feating or 1 hour and the place never filled beyond 1/2 way!! This proved to me what a CM suggested. These people were booking ressies (and even double and triple booking) and not showing up, nor cancelling! I had called about several restaurants DAILY for the last week, so I know there were no PS available! My suggestion to WDW will be to take a credit card hold like they do for Fantasmic Pkg and Cindy's now. If you don't cancel in 48 hours prior, you are charged $10 per person.......People are getting greedy!!
O.k., so off to MNSSHP. I have the cutest picture of Mallory dressed as Alice with ALICE!!! They are delightful looking together!!

There was basically no wait for rides. We walked right on the Speedway at around 7:30 that evening! It's usually a min. 20 minutes! THe longest ride was 30 minutes. Anyway, the kids got candy, but it started to rain at around 9 p.m. pretty hard. They were determined to press on, so we got rain coats for us (they didnt' want one!) and went to the new HM! The additions are nice and thankfully the hokey spider is gone! THere are some new things as well. M&M decided to do Space Mtn. again, but then the fireworks got off the ground, so we wanted those. After the FW, they wanted to go back to SM, but it was closed, as was Stitch!!

By that time Mallory was wiped out (remember coffee at 6 a.m.???). She and Mark went back and Marshall and I stayed for the parade which was quite cute. He and I went back after the parade.
Needless to say, they slept until 10 the next morning! Once again, we did the pool. I took them to EPCOT around 3 while Mark visited "his stool" at ESPN. THey rode TT, MS, and Journey into Imagination. They also got their pix with Figment! From there I took them to the Sandcastle Club. Mark and I met up at Bistro de Paris.
All I can say is that you HAVE TO TRY BISTRO DE PARKS!!! We liked it better than California Grill which is a real compliment!!

I really wanted to bring home Damien, our server as a souvie, BUT Mark said NO!!! What a hottie!!!

We did the meal where you chose one of two things from each course and it had wine parings. It started off with patte, then I had cold watercress soup that had a garlic creme. It also had frog legs. Now, I have always wnated to try frog legs and had heard they "just taste like chicken" which is exactly right. They had a hazelnut sauce on them. They were awesome! Next they brought out seared scallops with cabbage. Next I had Chicken breast stuffed with porcini mushrooms and prosciutto, macaroni with black truffle au gratin, and baby onions. THat was fantastic! Our dessert was an assortment of chocolate flourless cake filled with dark chocolate, vanilla bean creme brulee and pineapple mousse and an assortment of fruit. YUMMY!!!!!!! AFter that meal we just wanted to walk home and go to bed, which we did!!
DME wanted to pick us up at 6:30 for a 9:30 flight, so Mark put his foot down and called "Mr. Jack" our towncar guy. He picked us up at 7:45 which was still early, but much better than 6:30!!! At least it was a smooth flight home!!
A good time was had by all and I am off to bed!!!! We start state wide testing in the morning!!
