Hey 'mums'...remember when....the baby slept in my arms for THREE hours today....talk about a restful day!

Tonight is Meet Your Teacher night at the high school....I'm scared TO DEATH of teachers, so Bob is meeting them, I'm selling tickets and doing a 'little talking' to the other parents I see:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Is there such a thing as teacherphobia?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

173 more school days and yelling about 'doing the homework':furious: :furious: :furious:

We're not so bad!!! I have 177 days...........another hot, humid day in a airless, stuffy building......my class is really terrific........they're keeping my mind off of the suffering!!:confused3

let me just catch this thread before we reach PAGE THREE!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Bob works this weekend....and so do I, in the house, that is.
There is no time lately to rest, but I like to do work around the house when Bob is working.....and then rest when he is off on weekends. (although, I DO have 'lists' for him next weekend, on his long weekend off!):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hold on to your seats, gang. I had my "child abuse clearance" returned today and I was ALL CLEAR!!!!!!!! I know this is a shock to some of you (kindof a shock to me too:lmao: :lmao:) - now all I need is my TB test (which I am getting on Monday night) and I should be all clear to work at the school, and bother Tyler more often:rotfl:  :rotfl: :yay:

It is now 9:00 and I think I'll head to bed and do alot of reading:dance3:

Hope to hear from someone else real soon:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

as the saying goes, "if looks could kill"...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
SO, of course, I made it worse for him, told the gym teacher that was helping me weigh the kids to tell Tyler Williams to come and give his mommy a kiss (the gym teacher didn't know tyler...but called him and told him...we had a good time with it).:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I enjoyed most of the other kids too....at the end of the day, though, we got the nasty kids....:scared1:

Lucy, you are so bad.

First, WB Bolusi Family! I am with you on Cancun. Been there, done that. I figured the diving would be great, but I am sure the weather really stirred it up. Bad experience with swim up bar in Jamaica on my honeymoon. THe drink was called a Big Jack. Boy did it get me.......I think I was even smoking at one point! EEEEWWWW!!!!:eek:/QUOTE]:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OK so this weekend, I did another show out in LI, it went pretty well. Setup was Thursday, the show was Friday and Saturday. Saturday night we had our neice's engagement party, and then yesterday that awful game....which I don't want to talk about. But since Tom Brady is my QB (29 FF pts yesterday), I am doing ok in FF and beating Captain Nemo at the present moment. Hey, who has Tony Romo, he got 42 FF points last night!

And I am so not rested at this point, that I think I am starting to come down with a cold, my throat is so sore.

Have a lot to do at the shop today, have to unload all the stuff I didn't sell, then I purchased some class kits at less than wholesale (and no shipping) so I am going to prep them and get some classes going, I need to make $$, cause the summer was sooooo slow.

Have a good day all!

There is definitely something going around, I had a migraine and an ear ache this weekend and my ear ached came back today................175 days to go.............another humid, hot, stuffy day at school...............the kids are starting to get sick (stomach aches, headaches).......it's really sad......Pray for a weather break around here!!

We went down the shore this weekend and saw the "Rents".......what a difference...........IT WAS BEAUTIFUL........those shore people really have the life!!

I guess Lynn & Jenny are working.........:confused3

BORRINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea who has what with the FF, but wasn't Tom Brady supposed to be off this weekend???:confused3 I know he played but I'm not sure if whoever had him would have played him!:scared1:

so I may NOT know much about football, but I do watch the scores for the
Jets, the Eagles, and the Bengals....is that it?!:confused3....oh, wait, we've got Tara in Miami - those are the Dolphins, right? Tonight - Monday night football - Jenny's team....oh, you ask ( ) what team I watch the scores for? Penn State.....that's my team...and I even know the coaches' name!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just got back from the doctor, got my TB shot and tetanus shot (teachers: why do I need a tetanus shot - do kids bite!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: )

Joannster: No wonder the kids are sick - it is SO HOT...I can imagine how hot it is in school. My mother's roommate, at the nursing home, will NOT allow anyone to turn on any kind of air - well, guess what, when Lucy comes in, the air goes on!!! Why should my mother suffer!:rolleyes1

Debs - back to reality, huh? You gotta slow down, girl, before you make yourself sick!  :grouphug:

Where is Lynn?
Where is Bill/Alice?
Where is Jennster? oh, yea, at Monday night football, duh!:dance3:

Let's all just pray for a weather break and LOTS OF RAIN!!

Monday Night Football was AWESOME last night! They set the ESPN stage up right behind our seats, so we had to walk past it to go to our seats and could turn around and watch them on the set! Emmett Smith looked so fantastic in a suit!:thumbsup2 John and I got home at 2 a.m. and slept until 6:30. He was struggling, but I got him to school on time. I had to take Marshall to the doctor this afternoon, so I am home now and BUSHED!!:headache: I bet John is hurting since he also has football practice tonight!!!

THe final plans are all set for the secret WDW trip on THursday. THe sitter played right along with it last night when M&M slept over while I was in Cincinnati. The kids were putting in their dinner orders and all!!:lmao: I booked them into the Sandcastle Club for 2 hours on Sat. while Mark and I go to Bistro de Paris. A first time for us to go there. I cannot get a ressie anywhere else due to free dining for Sept. guests.....kind of a bummer. Our first DME trip too. We are so used to having "Mr. Jack" pick us up, so it will be interesting to see. I know the Williams' say they had a good experience, so maybe we will too!! We have MNSSHP tickets for Friday night and I have secretly packed Marshall's Lightening McQueen costume and Mallory's Alice in Wonderland costume. Mark says no costume this year for him, but I may hit Old Navy since they have their t-shirts out.:3dglasses

Yes, Lucy, kids do bite occassionally! :rotfl2: I haven't been bitten, but I have taken a hit or two!:rolleyes1 BTW~ Penn State will play here in Bloomington on Oct. 20th, and I'm not using my tickets that day. Have a STUPID WEDDING to be in that weekend!! I would much rather watch Joe PA and the Nittany Lions than be in a wedding anyday!!:cloud9:

I forgot to set my FF lineup, like it would make a difference! John is going berserk that no one will trade with him!!:rotfl2: I told him that's what he gets for not coming home and drafting his own team!!:lmao:

O.k. East coasters, it's 66 degrees and beautiful here! I'll send it your way!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Oct. 20 - that is OUR anniverssary....you'll always remember...

Well, 'my little girl' was precious again today....slept for two hours - but this time, I put her on the bed (didn't hold her) and laid beside her for two hours...I LOVE watching her sleep:love:   She is getting to be so much fun...today she was 9 months old...and, of course, she has found the two outlets in our kitchen...haven't babyproofed the house in years.

Tomorrow I get my TB test read...I'm sure I'll be fine...don't worry people (:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) - I can't even find where they gave it to me.

Let's remember the victims of 9/11:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

School's been a :headache: this year, literally......tomorrow, I've ordered a cake for the staff as a pick-me-up.......enough with the stress:scared1: ! (We have off Thurs & Fri)

I'm FREEZING - have all the windows open!:cool1: :yay:

Your plan sounds way too good, Jenster.........I'm reading my DVC info lately....wishing we could go too!!!!!!!!!!Please tell us how the kids reacted when they find out.....it's just M&M right?

Just M&M are going. John has football and needs to be here, but remember the "poor child" also went on a cruise before our NYC trip!;)

Our kids start state testing Monday. Mallory was taking a practice test today and the writing prompt asked "if you could do anything for one day, what would it be"? Her teacher called me dying saying how she wrote this whole WDW day experience she would plan!!!:lmao:

when my kids were younger, that is what they wrote about too:cool1: :cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Wishing you a GREAT time - I can't wait to hear about the part when you told the kids....TRY to remember everything, ok?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Gotta go and put the electric blanket on the bed:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (you think I'm kidding, don't 'ya?):yay: :yay: :yay:

:rotfl: Hey I know that J gets to "double dip" quite a bit!! I don't need to tell you that my DD23's BF wants to beat the little guy this year in FF...best wishes in WDW.......

Let's hear it for...............cold temps (never thought i would say that!)

we need to hear the rest of the trip report, debster!!

WHERE IS THE LYNNSTER???:confused3 :surfweb:

:yay: outta here!!! I made cards for the kids. THe front says "good for one free ice cream cone" and the inside says at "Seashore Sweets, DIsney's Boardwalk, good through Sept. 16, 2007!! THey think I am picking them up early for ice cream before we leave town!!!:lmao: They were excited about the ice cream, so imagine when they read the cards!!!!:dance3:

One margarita will be consumed for each of you (and maybe more!!!):woohoo:

Cheers!!!:cloud9:

Unfortunately, I have some sad news to share. Last night we had to put Chivas to sleep. She hadn't been acting right since we got back from vacation and the last 3 days she hasn't been eating anything, not drinking her milk or takingany of her treats. On Wednesday, I noticed that her stomach was very hard and distended, and Alex noticed too later in the day and called me at work. I had already made the decision that I had to take her to the vet, so I called and Alex and I took her in yesterday morning and her abdomen was filled with fluid. They kept her there all day, took a sample of the fluid, had an IV in her and they called in an ultrasound specialist because they really couldn't tell what was going on. They weren't sure if it was heart disease or a tumor, or what. So I went to work (had a really bad day) finally left at 3:30, stopped at the vet, but the specialist hadn't come yet, so I went home to check on Briana, then by the "Clubhouse" for a beer and shoulder to cry on, then since it was close to 5 when I left there, I decided to go by the vet rather than go home. The ultrasound guy had just got there, so I stayed, Alex came and met me (Micco then called and he was on his way), and then the doctor finally came out (before Micco got there) and told us that she had cirrhosis of the liver and that her organs would probably start to shut down. She had jaundice in her eyes. They could drain her abdomen and put her on Lasix and other medications, and she could live for maybe a day, maybe a week, maybe a few months, but she would also have to keep coming back to get drained, and we didn't know how often. Chivas had never been sick a day in her life. When Micco got there, I had the doctor re-explain everything that was going on to him.

So we called Briana and told her to come see Chivas, that she was very sick and we didn't know what was going to happen. At that point we hadn't made a decision yet, but Micco must have talked to the doctor 3 other times, and after talking to him, we all felt in our heads that the right thing to do was to put her to sleep. Our hearts were breaking, but our heads told us that we didn't want her to suffer. She has been too good to us her whole life, how could we make her suffer. She has also been having major problems with her hips, can't get up from the floor, doesn't go on the couch, the beds anymore. She was starting to lose her hearing and sight too, and to make her go back to the vet all the time to be drained would have been unbearable, she hated that place.

So we said our goodbyes, and Micco stayed with her and held her while she went to sleep. He buried her in the front yard by my shop, we are going to plant some flowers and make a little memorial for her there when we are a little better.

Chivas was with us for almost 12 years, and our hearts are really broken right now. She was the perfect pet, the perfect addition to our family, she made our house a home. She was well loved, and she knew it. She gave us so much unconditional love in return, that our lives will not be the same without her.

I miss her so darn much, and it's only 12 hours since I last saw her. Last night I searched the whole house for her, hoping I would find her, but she just wasn't here, and I know she is never coming back. I had pets growing up, but she was my girl. I picked her out at the shelter (and it was the best $60 I ever spent), and she was my family's dog. We have had her since Briana was 5. I knew losing her was going to hurt, but I never knew it was going to hurt this much.

I am taking the day off from work today, I am hoping to be back in tomorrow, we will see how I feel. But right now I am having a hard time functioning normally, I guess you could say I am a basket case.

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Talk to you all soon.
