for me! It's time to live vicariously through the Hopf, Lawall, Tarrant, & Williams families!! Aren't the Bolusi's heading to Cancun???

Me?? Two weeks of summer school, one week off, and then full-time for everyone!:scared1: Where has my summer gone??????:confused3

So glad to hear from you Bill and Alice! I would love to hit the Jersey shore someday and see you guys. We had quite the time in NYC as you read, but Mark sure missed the BWV. As for his lowly Reds, well........it's almost trade deadline. Wonder when the fire sale starts!! Time to dump salary!

JoJo...make sure you get me that author name we discussed. I need some read aloud material.

Lynn....I am so sorry to hear about your weather and weather related problems. I admire your commitment to your school. I can't see my principal having to get her fancy shoes dirty to clean up water. She'd be calling in someone to do that!!! It's funny JoAnn and I talked about our administrators and learned we are in very similar situations.....we shut our doors and do our jobs!

Lucy......when does Tyler go back to school? Give me the date....did you see my new ticker?????????

Ok, get the back to school ticker off.......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:teacher:

Forgive me, JenJen, I can't remember what book we were talking about.....I remember the conversation, I remember that I said I would let you know, but I need some more cues..........working memory is going, I guess!

I must be thinking about school too much, I had a bad dream about it last night.:teacher:

9:00 AM
everyone still asleep
but, of course, I've been up since 7:30 - routine for me....:dance3:

BOY, is Joannster's thread getting exciting:woohoo: ....i have butterflies everytime I read it:hippie: ...only thing I'm thankful for, for not going on this trip:sad1: - I don't need to pack, YET! that's it:sad1: - I'm so happy for all of our friends experiencing this ONCE IN A LIFETIME trip:grouphug:

Joannster, I heard you mention overpacking - that would totally be my problem, always have, always will:rolleyes1 . Goodness knows how I would pack for THIS trip, well, let's just say I wouldn't pack, Bob would need to pack for me:flower3:

JoAnn: seriously, would you please PM me your flight # and carrier name...I want to watch you fly 'over the pond'.:cheer2:

Bob saw Hairspray last night with friends (I had commitments ALL day/night long with sweet young ladies that worked for me at KU and are all planning their weddings, in addition to a wedding shower for one of them...I can pretend they are mine, right?:confused3 ) - said the movie was GREAT.:cheer2: I MAY see it next weekend when Bob works.

My flight info is at home, I'm down the shore this weekend (getting all my summer clothes)........I MAY start packing them today!

I'm leaving from Philadelphia on Friday, July 27th at 5:40pm on USAirways, I think it's 748 or 948 arriving at about 7:45am in Barcelona on 7/28......then returning on Wednesday, August 8th at 12:20pm? on USAirways and it's 749 or 949, I just have to check.

I think Lynn is also leaving on Friday but she's so close that I think she's getting a night in Barcelona (we're flying overnight.)

...........the Rents are flying Air France w/a stopover thru Paris......leaving at (I think) 6:55pm on 7/27.....arriving in Paris at around 8am and then leaving from there around 10 and arriving in Barcelona at around noon. They booked thru Disney and I did it on my own. I'll try to find out their flight number too!

I'm dying to see Hairspray the movie!!popcorn::

Ok, Lucy, the pressure was killing me.............I called USAirways.......

Friday 7/27 #742 6:25pm - 8:20am (Bar) 7h55m 15CDEFG
Wed 8/3 #743 12:10pm - 3:05pm (PHL) 8h55m 15CDEFG
(we're w/ the Rents on our way back!)

Anything else?:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I am quite depressed right now. I went into work and the room I was suppose to "move into" for two weeks is totally packed with boxes. The alternate room has no computer access. I had a total meltdown. I called my principal (it's not her building) and she told me she had no problem with me teaching in my own room, but the new asst. supt. nixed it (she is not fond of me anyway). I got ticked and called my association president. I don't pull association trump card, so I don't feel bad. I am filing a inequity of working conditions as I am the ONLY ONE who has to work in an alternate room. So, I have 15 kids showing up in the morning and don't know where......:sad2:

More later.................

Whoa, how annoying.........you certainly don't need this aggravation right now!:sad2: Let us know how things go.........Lynn? advice?

...as usual, about Lynn and Keith.....LYNN: is your home ok?:confused3 I've been watching the news this morning and it doesn't sound 'pretty' over there.:scared1: :sad2: Please try to give us an update before you leave, so I don't need to worry for the next 11 days while you are on the cruise:hug:

Poor, poor Jenny, school - YUCK!:scared: :sad1:
I can't even imagine how tough this must be....keep talking on the board - we'll try to help you thru.:grouphug: Tyler doesn't start school until
Aug. 27, but on Aug. 25 (Bob's birthday!) - he ordered 4 tickets to see Rent with the original cast...so once again we'll be in the City. Tyler wants friends to go along to see the show (poor Bob, out of a ticket again, but what we do for our kids!) and then we'll see something else (as if there is NOTHING to see on Broadway).:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

More later......happy packing.

Cool, LL! What do you think you'll see this time? Tracy's roommate saw the Spelling Bee show and she said it was really funny! Tell Bob, it's always better to see a new show, it's so exciting (although, I wouldn't mind seeing MP AGAIN!):thumbsup2

Jensee, pls let us know how's things went, when you get home!:confused3

A few days ago, Lynn mentioned that some of her classrooms are flooded, I'm not sure if things are better now or not.......her last school day is Wednesday, so she can't wait to be done for a while!:woohoo:

Poor Tyler! Our students don't go back until after Labor Day......I go back on 8/28. I'm not going to think about it, I'm not going to think about it.......

I might do a little shopping today, we'll see.........:cloud9:

I might do a little shopping today, we'll see.........
I hope you are taking my girls along shopping!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Bob said the same thing about MP - and I feel the same way.....i LOVED that show.

:confused3 Sounds expensive.........I'm thinking:confused3 , I'll say (if they get up)..........AFTER YOU PACK, WE CAN GO.............Hopefully, THAT will work!

We're ok Lucy but things are really bad in some places quite near us, no water even though they're swimming in it, it has been contaminated and no power and still it rains, has anyone seen a man with a beard and a big boat!!!!I'll give him 2 bunnies if he takes me as well!!

Our house is great no water there but as Joann said I have 2 flooded classrooms and on Friday I came out of my office to see a small tidal wave heading up the corridor towards me!!

We cancelled sports day today tomorrow is a quiet catch up day, staff performance reviews etc and then bowling with our leavers should be good.

Leavers service Wednesday am and then clear up pm then finished!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your problems Jen, I really don't know enough about the system over there to advise, whats the super's reason for not letting you stay put does it mean opening up another whole part of the building or is she just being hornery

Lynn - she's just on a "power trip". It's her second week on the job and she's "marking her territory". :dogdance: She moved up from principal and was the district's third choice. I had all three of her own children in the fourth grade (we have a request system). She was really down to earth when I had her first and second children, but got her doctorate right as I had the third one, so I didn't know anything!;) Anyway, I have been given no specific guidelines or criteria. I have e-mailed her today and requested my concerns be addressed as I want to do the best possible job for the corporation and the children. We'll see how that goes!:rolleyes1

I hope you guys get some well deserved relief with the rain. Water is a crazy, frustrating thing. Just think how close you are to vacation  and I am ALREADY BACK TO WORK!!!:sad2:

JoJo - how's the packing???:scared: Your ticker is looking great! Lucy is right, according to his ticker, your dad has already left!:lmao: NO COMMENT!

You guys PROMISE me you will check in all of you?? I will be so lonely while you are all gone! I can call Lucy, but no international calls for me!:rolleyes1 I will faithfully watch the "blog action"!!!!popcorn::

Two more days, Lynn, hang in there........sounds like the year is going out with a bang! Soon, none of it will matter.............:sail:

Tara and I plan to "blog" the trip, so please check on there and add comments, please!!

Crazy story about the administrator, you can never let your guard down can you!

No packing today........we went shopping, I bought two bathing suits, a little black dress and a couple skirts and blouses!! I'm all set, now I have to organize everything.......Tara will be home on Thursday............:dance3:

Oh, Lynn, what a scary sight, water coming down the corridor of the school.
I'm really frightened of floods and what I saw on the news this morning, I would be scared.:scared1: Hope the rain stops SOON and you have no worries while you are away. Hey, can't believe this one - being blond and everything - I 'got' the part of the man and a big boat (well, it did take a few minutes:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ).

Of course I'm going to check in with you Jenny. I want to keep up with the blogs too. :woohoo: IF we don't happen to take the laptop, I'll just call you and ask you to read them to me, ok?:confused3
Tara: the blond moment is stepping in - how do I add comments to the blog? (remember, Bob calls ME technically-challenged and he is SO right).
I've looked on the blog and can't find it.

We just took Tyler shopping for clothing for Florida/school - that is an adventure, it was one stop shopping - Kohl's!:cheer2: Thank goodness he found the sneakers in NY.:cool1:

Went to an eye specialist today to test for glaucoma (mother has it) - they found some problems in the eye....may have slight nerve damage - I mentioned someone pushing me off a sidewalk in NYC and falling on my face.....Joannster - I gave her your phone #!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

What???As I remember it........someone tripped and wasted an amazing cup of SB.............!!!!!

To add comments to the blog.....you will see under each entry the word "Comments"........just double click on it and you will be able to add comments..........IT'S REALLY DIFFICULT...............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry about the check-up, I really enjoy getting older as well............:confused3  TG for WDW!!!:hourglass :hourglass :hourglass

I posted on the BLOG - I may not be 'so blond' afterall!:cool1: :rotfl:

Jennster: I need another ticker - Christmas Eve arriving WDW, Williams Family.....one lesson a day for me (the blog):lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Another beautiful day, weather wise, here in Kutztown. Gonna have a hard time adjusting to those Florida temps (but someone has got to do it):woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Are you guys scheduled for PALO? :confused3

Yes, we are in a Palo Brunch group on Sunday morning (first sea day) and a Palo Dinner ressie with the Rents on Rome day........I have to go check out the blog now..........:goodvibes
