Lurker Bob will be happy to hear I was doing that today - EVERYONE, say hi to Bob!

Saw tee-shirt Ken, the model....hmmmmm, truly I have no comment.:rotfl2:

Hey guys, a little more packing and cleaning has been completed........Tracy just called..........SHE SAW JENNY & FAMILY AT THE ESPNzone.....there has been some sort of fire near Jenny's hotel, on the news, they said it was supposed to be an underground pipe which exploded, not a terroristic attack. Tracy is in NYC for a concert tonight!:confused3

especially all the Fishers and Tracy:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Lynn: thanks for the blog - I have put it in my favorites!

what a day! I have to admit that I was scared! Here's the scoop: Mark and Marshall were at the Hyatt on the 31st floor in the club lounge. They heard a boom which they thought was thunder (it has rained off and on). When they looked out the window all they saw was smoke. Meanwhile, John, Mallory and I were coming back to the hotel and were on 42nd and 5th Ave. We turned the corner and saw nothing but people running through the streets and sidewalks. Men in suits, women in dresses as well. A lady grabbed me, spun me around and said "take your children and run as fast as you can.....that building could collapse". We took off running down 42nd until we got to about 8th ave. I finally located Mark by cell (the lines were clogged) and he was running as well with Marshall who was crying. We met up at ESPN where who do we run into, but TRACY!!!! I have to say that it really helped Mallory to see Tracy again. She actually calmed down after that.

We ate dinner at Bubba Gumps and tried to call the hotel, but no answers. So, we walked down to the area where we were directed to 47th and Madison to enter the terminal lines to Grand Central Station. We were allowed to cross the police lines with our room key. Outside our room the streets are blocked and covered with NYPD, FDNY, and ambulances. A steam line had exploded underground which caused a transformer to blow. The streets are soiled with the dirt from the steam pipes. We all have little specks of the dirt on our clothes which is annoying! I guess it will be time to go home tomorrow. But, we don't fly out until 6 p.m.

I keep saying I am going to the Today Show tomorrow, but we'll see! Mark and Marshall took an abbreviated tour of NBC Studios and Marshall got to see the SNL set and got selected to sit at the Weekend Update table and read the teleprompter!:woohoo: THey were filming a promotional commercial for the tour, and I guess the camera was on him A LOT!! Watch for him on TV!! They bought us the first season of SNL on DVD!! We all love that show and the first season is a hard set to get! We were going to the Empire State Building when all the commotion broke out, so I don't know if we will get to.

THanks for the blog info Lynn. I will love to read yours and Keith comments and adventures!!!:yay: I am so excited for everyone!

Yes, Lucy, my counter STINKS!!! I will make my Key West/Miami one when I get home!:dance3:

Later all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2 :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

in Indiana (that is a song, BTW!!). It was, yes, an interesting day yesterday. M&M and I went to the Today Show at 7:15 a.m. We saw Meredith Vierra, Matt Laurer, Al Roker, Ann Curry, and Peter Alexander. They were absolutely the most down to earth, friendly people! Ann Curry spent so much time with the people out in the plaza talking WITH them. She is so sweet! The kids got everyone's autograph, but Meredith. THey seem to rush her around a lot and she was wanting to mingle! THey got their pictures, with Ann, Peter and Al. We also saw Christopher Walkin who was promoting Hairspray, the movie. He was kind of creepy and weird, nor did acknowledge a single person.

After the show was over and the crowd was gone, we started to leave. BUT, I had a Lucy moment. Yes, I twisted my ankle on a curb in the plaza and fell. I landed flat on my chest. I am pretty sore today. My right knee has a knot under the skin and both knees are bruised. Initially, my back hurt and I couldn't get up. Two guys were there immediately and helped me up. I have to admit I didn't have time to be embarrassed because it shook me up. I have recently learned that I totally have lost all athletic ability!!:lmao:So, it's Jenny=1....Lucy=2!!:woohoo: You win Lucy!!!:rotfl2: They had one of those segments where they had the latest cool kid's things and when we were leaving a stage guy started handing stuff to M&M. They got colored glitter glue, necklaces, etc. THey LOVED THAT!!!:wizard:

We went up in the Empire State Building yesterday afternoon which was cool. It was clear, but when we got up there a small storm moved it, so the view was good, but not as good as it could have been. The kids loved it though.

Sunday is our wedding anniversary (12 years), so the kids are going to my mom's for the night. Mark wants to go to a movie, maybe Adam Sandler's new one. Really a quiet dinner would be just fine by me!

Off to work. I have to set up a classroom in the primary school as I start teaching summer school Monday morning at 8 a.m.!:scared1: I am teaching second grade remediation.

It's now time to live the Med. with the Hopfs, Lawalls and Tarrants! It is also time to live BWV with the Williams family!!:dance3: It's time for me to :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: since its been a week!:scared1: Yes, Lucy I will treat our asbestos laden clothing properly!:lmao:

Wow Jenny you do lead an exciting life still it hasn't been so quiet here either I don't know if you get our weather news over there but we had a severe weather warning today . Torrential rain from very early this morning I got to work but then all the roads around the village were closed. I had 2 flooded classrooms and a flooded corridor , I was packing this weekend but I think clean up duties come first . We were fine at home thank goodness.
Hope the knee isn't too bad
Love Lynn

Wow, you guys really saw and did everything in NYC! I'm impressed! So sorry about the fall, I think some of the sidewalks are a little uneven!

I am waiting to finish packing until after this weekend. Remember when I told everyone in 2005, that I like to clean before a trip, the cleaning is well underway!:cool1: Sorry about summer school..........

I still cannot believe the explosion that you guys all dealt with........Tracy literally missed it but just minutes and was unaffected on her way home even though she used the train both ways....crazy!

I actually heard about your bad weather on another thread! Sorry! We've had a mild summer, not too hot...............now Lucy had a major weather incident last week, but our area has been humid but nothing crazy!:) Are you done working yet?

Boy ....I haven't been on the dis for awhile....:cool1: :woohoo:

But you guy's have been "burning "up the wires ...::eek: that was for Jenny's benefit...!! The Fisher's hit the Big Apple and someone try's to blow up the city....:rolleyes1 Well,it can't be because of the Cinn Baseball team...:scared1: Anyhow, seems you all had a fun time :woohoo: ,exciting, interesting sights I'm sure:cheer2: And It appears there is a challenger for Lucy's record of how often can one fall in NYC:upsidedow .....It can't be from the booze, it's all watered down:mad:
Alice just gave me the "dicken's "for making light of your mis-fortune,and She's right...I apoligize....to Jenny and lucy...and any other sightsee'er in NY who falls while trying to walk on those uneven sidewalks...!!:hippie: Of course now the side walks are blowing up around the walker's..:guilty:
Moving right along... I expected all of you to show up down here in beautiful ,hot, sticky Brigantine, but I suppose that plan would have been difficult to execute.....:confused3
From reading the dis it seems people should be packing about now in anticipation for the big cruise:dance3: i'll wait till wed or so,can't be to earily you know:headache: ,Alice and I appreciate everyone's good wish's ,and look forward to seeing ya'all in the future....
How do we enter these blogs...??? Where's my baby Tara ...??

Looks who is back:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :cool2:

Hello Bill and Alice....I'm a little confused about the 'ticker' though, because it says 2 days SINCE sailing....someone has gotta fix you up, boy.:scared1:

Baby Tara? boy, did the Williams have fun with 'your baby':thumbsup2 .....couldn't get that girl to spend enough money, though. I hope things improve when she is in the Med, but, darn it, I won't be there to encourage the girls (do they really need my encouragement?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Alice, Alice, Alice, don't be yelling at my boy, be yelling at your daughter....she is the one that can't stop laughing at me for spilling a whole cup of Starbucks coffee, that she had so generously bought me. Those sidewalks are UNEVEN! I was scared to death when I was walking by myself on Sunday afternoon to and from my theatre.....who would have picked me up?!

When I was running errands today, I was surprised at how quicky the week has past, just last week we were packing for our DIS meet.....and NOW, you people are packing for your MED meet. :grouphug:

Lynn: be careful....with all that rain....cheer up girl....the sunshine is ahead of you for ELEVEN DAYS (and all your DIS buddies! )

and, then there is POOR Jenny:teacher: :teacher: :teacher: :teacher:

HEY! Starbucks is like liquid gold! Be more careful next time! Don't leave yourself out...............the Williams' are planning their next visit to the "real" mouse! Bring your computer and give us updates, too!

Don't worry, baby Tara, WHO IS 23 TODAY, did some damage on Monday when we walked for like 40 blocks all over the city and shopped til we dropped.....I took her to the Trump Tower Starbucks and it reminded me of our visit with everyone last fall.....:coffee:

for me! It's time to live vicariously through the Hopf, Lawall, Tarrant, & Williams families!! Aren't the Bolusi's heading to Cancun???

Me?? Two weeks of summer school, one week off, and then full-time for everyone!:scared1: Where has my summer gone??????:confused3

So glad to hear from you Bill and Alice! I would love to hit the Jersey shore someday and see you guys. We had quite the time in NYC as you read, but Mark sure missed the BWV. As for his lowly Reds, well........it's almost trade deadline. Wonder when the fire sale starts!! Time to dump salary!

JoJo...make sure you get me that author name we discussed. I need some read aloud material.

Lynn....I am so sorry to hear about your weather and weather related problems. I admire your commitment to your school. I can't see my principal having to get her fancy shoes dirty to clean up water. She'd be calling in someone to do that!!! It's funny JoAnn and I talked about our administrators and learned we are in very similar situations.....we shut our doors and do our jobs!

Lucy......when does Tyler go back to school? Give me the date....did you see my new ticker?????????
