I keep checking this thread, every other minute, it seems.
This has been a very long day for Ken...:grouphug:

Starbucks, HECK, McDonalds coffee was WONDERFUL....best tasting stuff I've had in a long time! I still have such a bad headache:headache: :headache: :headache: and sore throat:sick: ...weird, didn't have all that BEFORE the surgery.....I'll take the heavy-duty painkillers and sleep the night, I hope. Debating on staying home...all depends how I feel, IF I feel good, I'll stay home:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ....if I still feel poorly, I'll go to work:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Keep us informed, ok?:sad1:

i'm sorry I'm a pest....but there has GOT to be news.

OK, crazy world we live in....on Tuesday, it was 75 degrees outside:beach: , tomorrow, 4-8 inches of snow is predicted:cold: ...I just don't understand:confused3 :confused3 :sad2:

Oh, and by the way, I was home again today.....I felt better so I stayed home, understand?:confused3

I completely understand about the staying home b/c you feel good?:lmao:

Sadly, Ken's dad passed away just a few minutes ago.......he's still at the hospital...........:grouphug:

Thx Lucy!! Also, thx to Jenny for her thoughtful call. Ken is doing extremely well. Tara will come home on Sunday. The funeral will be on Monday. It's tough b/c of course we will miss him so much! What a bummer!

Hope all are safe in this crazy ice storm!

for sure!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
We have about 4 inches of snow, now it is sleeting like C-R-A-Z-Y!:scared1:
Should continue thru the night:scared1:
It's a Gray's Anatomy night...Bob's store closed at 5:00, so he and I can watch TV....:happytv:
Bryan, don't ask...would a snowstorm/ice storm keep a 20 year
old home:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: NO!:furious: :furious: :furious:

I walked home from work today, the sleet was hitting my face so hard it was burning:cold: :cold: :cold: - we are about 8 long city blocks from my university - it was a VERY long walk tonight, in deep snow and ice, and...
I DIDN'T FALL!:woohoo: :cheer2: I seem to only have problems with dry city sidewalks!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Again, Ken, and everyone:grouphug:

Ken and family - so sorry for your loss. Just wanted to let you know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry guys, I have had to take a break from the Dis Boards for awhile. Things are ok here, I know I haven't been around, I haven't even read the boards in ages. Alex was the one who told me about Ken's dad. Forgive me for not being around. I will try to play catch up this w/e.

Debi

DEBS - :grouphug: :grouphug: :flower3: :wave2: :love1: :lovestruc :listen: :mickeybar (does anyone notice how I've been ending 'some' of my posts with a Mickey Bar? 2 more weeks till I have my Mickey Bar!)

DEBS - talk to us....even if you want to call, PM, whatever, your friends are here for 'ya (except of course Ms. Jenny, who happens to be in Florida during this last snowstorm!)...we ONLY got 8 inches of snow yesterday and tons of ice!:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Joann
So sorry to hear your bad news. Ken and the rest of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lynn and Keith

Thx again to all! Ken is doing really well............I had a few rough minutes today, but overall, we are much better off than last week! The viewing is tomorrow and the funeral/Mass is Monday........we made a beautiful collage for the viewing, which really made things better.................:grouphug: Most of Ken's brothers came over tonight and they really seemed to have a good time............ Keep them all in your prayers tomorrow!!!

unfortunately we had to come home! None of us wanted to leave. I think the reality of what is going on here is more that I can take. I am really down just knowing what the next month will bring.

We had an awesome time. We spent two full days at WDW (Sat. and Sun.). We met one of Mark's friends at the Reds game in Sarasota on Monday, then followed him to his house near Naples. We stayed there two nights. Mark and Lou went to see the Twins and Cards while the kids and I hit a fabulous outlet. Wed. we went to Siesta Key Beach for the afternoon and a Reds game that night. Thursday we went to Lido Beach and a Reds game. On Friday Mark and John set out for the Reds game, but it was rained out. The sun came out and we spent the late afternoon at Lido again and shopped at St. Armand's Circle. THey were looking for volunteers to stay in Tampa due ot overbooking yesterday. If they could have gotten us home today we would have done it, but it was to be Monday.

Well, I have a lot of :laundy: to do, so I'll check in again later.

My love & prayers to the Lawalls:grouphug:

Hope to hear from Debi, Lynn and Lucy!!!!

Hey all! My "someone" has also arrived from Florida! We're off to do our duties.....talk to you all soon!

I've been thinking about the Lawalls all day. I hope all went well, or as good as it can in this situation.

Oh the joys of returning to work. Really I think vacations are harder to come back from each time. :surfweb:

Well, now it's Lucy and Bob's turn to hit WDW. You guys will have a blast (since when is WDW NOT fun?)!!

Lynn is getting close to a break too! Are Bri and Alex off soon Debi?

We really don't have our vacation set (it's still WAY UP in the air), so I had to reserve myself to the Opening Day and End of the School year counters! Reaching, right???

I was hoping, since we haven't heard from you in awhile, that it was YOU who won the big lottery ($390 million) - I wanted to be your best friend:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Bill's been up our way all w/e, he was with us at the wake and funeral as well. (so was Mom) So of course Ken and his mom have been terrific (and I fell apart.....:confused3 ) It's really sad when you lose someone so early!

Anyway, TrayTray is back to school tonight and Tara's home for a few days.....life goes on, time to plan a trip!!!

'that" part of the day is over for the family...I've been to too many [funerals] lately. :sad1: You guys were on my mind today:grouphug: (that is when i wasn't thinking about Bill and how sad it was too that he didn't win the lottery). Sorry, this is no time to joke, but maybe a smile, JoAnn?:)

OK, our NEXT free weekend: KOP? April 21 or 22??:dance3: :dance3:
Ken NEEDS me! we need to meet! :woohoo: anywhere, oh I don't 'do" Philadelphia, though.:rolleyes1

Countdown to the end of school :scared1: - I'm SO JEALOUS:snooty: ....we are ONLY ending our 3rd quarter at the end of next week (delayed by 3 days due to Valentine's Day snowstorm).

Wish Debs would come back:listen: :lovestruc

Lynn should be getting another break very soon. Oh, tell Keith I had my FIRST ice cream of the season (even though Spring does not begin until Wednesday) on Sunday, at Cold Stone Creamery:banana: :cool1:
My kids (the ones I'm chaperoning in a week) were told by ME, if you need to find me, I'll be sitting by an ice cream cart.:mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

now lucy we don't have cold stone creamery so we would like to start the first Uk franchise please go into your local store and find out if they'd like to set up here and we'll open their first shop for them. Keith missed out in St Thomas and hasn't quite forgiven me yet!!!!

yes we break up in one week and 4 days not that I'm counting!!!
The inspectors haven't shown up yet and I'm kinda hoping they'll stay away until after Easter break now
Our weather has turned really cold today snow and sleet forecast ugh
I have to go to London on the train tomorrow.

Hello People..... As was stated earilier by JoAnAnSki, we was visiting
my other son (Ken),making some rounds in the big city:cool1:
Of course the main purpose was to give our regards to the Lawall family....:grouphug: PopPop Harry was a terrific impact on his children,Grandkids, and most people he associated with:) He will be sorely missed:sad1: but he has left a Legacy that will be remembered for many years..;) He ,loved God, worked hard, was generous, played hard, and loved the family:goodvibes A man could not ask for a better way to be remembered:yay: The one other thing that I admired of Harry was ...how much the 30 Grandchildren loved him...It's something I will always love about the guy...:goodvibes ....Of course we had our moments.. :rolleyes1 At the family gatherings ,my job was to find where the "Good Stuff" was hidden, and then we would "inbib" on the sly:lmao: Yes ... I'm gonna miss ol' Harry....:woohoo: Hopefully, His children will follow in his footsteps:) :) :)

Welcome back Jenny, glad to hear from Deb,hug's and kisses to lynn and hubby,oh yah what's her name.....loosey lucy, the girl that is gonna dance down Times Square on her knee's....:yay:
