We loved Wicked too Jenny, I bet they are having a great time
Hope you're feeling a bit better now

for checking in and keeping me company! My back is a bit better, but I am just thankful to get the MRI behind me. The biggest problem is trying to sit at the kids' games on the benches. I am o.k. on things that are soft, so I just carry my little seat cushion!!!

You'd think Bill would check in and keep me company!!!

I'm trying to track your problems with the back... :scared1: you have our deepest concerns....:cutie: I'v etried to respond to the comments everyone has had ,twice, but the dis board won't let me in...when I do get access,I usually use the wrong password,etc...:rolleyes1 and lose the long message
I had prepared...:confused3

Well, If I was Mark, I'd let you off the lawnmower this summer, but for now I'd keep you on the snow shovel, so you don't get soft and flabby:goodvibes ..Hell girl, you will certainly deserve some "fun in the sun" time:lmao: Pitcher's and catchers 3 weeks :rolleyes1 :rotfl: go for it

Have fun you folks in the Big Apple....

report in 20 days!!!:thumbsup2 Oh, that is a well known fact in this house!

Cool story.......as I have said many times before, Rex Grossman, the Bears QB is from our little town here. His dad is quite a successful opthamologist. We heard this week that his dad has closed his office starting Thursday and is flying EVERY employee to the Super Bowl, including airfare, rooms, tickets, etc.!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT??????? We're not talking a Mom and Pop operation here either. If I were to guess, he probably has somewhere around maybe 40 employees!!!!!!

COME HOME SOON LUCY AND JOANN...........AND CHECK IN TOO DEBI!!!!!

Thanks for the company Lynn and Bill!!! Here's some cuddles for you!

:grouphug: We have returned...very busy weekend.
Let's start with the good/bad news, ok?
The good news: being with our DIS friends:cool1:

the bad news: Joann & Ken had MAJOR problems w/hotel ressie:furious:
the good news: we didn't:lmao: :lmao:
the bad news: Brianna didn't come to see us:sad1:
the good news: meeting up with the Bolusi's for dinner:love:
the bad news: I FELL AGAIN, this time on Times Square:eek:
the good news: I could get up:woohoo:
the bad news: JoAnn laughed at me again, AND KEN:sad:
the good news: I didn't tear my pants this time:rotfl2:
the bad news: i am SO stiff today, I can hardly move:sick:
the good news: we are going to get together real soon again in NYC and Ken is going to push me in a wheel chair:laughing:
the bad news: I didn't find my Mickey Crocs but DID find Kathy's crocs:yay:
the good news: I helped JoAnn's girls spend ALOT of her money:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
LOVE YOU GUYS:flower3:
We spoke about each and every one of you. ::yes::

:grouphug: Jennnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeee....sorry about the MRI!! Tell us what you learned when you can............

We had a wonderful w/e in NYC, the weather wasn't too cold and we shopped until we dropped! Yesterday, we met Loosse & family on the 8th floor of the MM, then we ate lunch at Bubba Gump and met an Italian fella (you get my meaning) who was our waiter......very funny! My girls finally showed up around 3pm. (Jess took her SAT yesterday!)
Then we walked to Niketown, Tiffany's, Gap, Abercrombie and OUR FAVORITE....the Disney Store NYC! Bob & Tyler saw Rent and I think they actually liked that better than Wicked in the end!

We met Debs & family at a place called "Matt's Bar & Grill" then we were off to the show! All I can say is that that theatre was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THEATRE I HAVE EVER BEEN IN (I think it was the Gershwin?) The show was excellent and so colorful and clever! I'm glad we finally saw it!:dance3: Debi picked up Alex after the show, so she put in a full day after working all day!!!:grouphug:

Today we just ate and then Tracy and I walked down to Macy's which is an amazing department store at 34th & Broadway. Oh yea, before that...........guess who got the "Kathy Crocs??????????????????"""" So now we can all wear them together next summer??:woohoo: I actually found a store which had MM Crocs while I was walking with Tracy.....BUT THEY JUST HAD KID SIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3

So we had another wonderful w/e with our special friends and of course, we missed the rest of the group..........let's get together again soon!! :flower3: :hourglass :cool1: :goodvibes

a wheel chair provided for these NY jaunts...???:scared1:
or a wheel barrel..:rolleyes1 I thought I was the old one's:sad2:

Hey, glad you all had a good time....any birthdays this month////??

This guy Grossman must be really heeled:confused3 ,,,that is a very generous offer:rolleyes1 that should keep the employees happy..:cheer2: It's gonna take more than that for Chi town to win.....:flower3:

So, Lucy has met the group three times in NYC and fell twice! Was she drinking that margarita I recommended prior to her drunken stupor????:lmao:

I have sat in a chair with my computer and TV all day. :happytv: So unlike me, but fun! I got to playing around and watching TV last night and suddenly realized it was 3 A.M.!!!!:surfweb:

Glad to hear you all had fun!

Debi ~ Check in soon! I miss hearing from you!

I want some MM Crocs too!!!:sad1: Maybe when I go to WDW in March. My friend found every color at AK and bought them all! :dance3: I definitely think the "Kathy Crocs" are darling!

I will be talking to the doctor tomorrow. Hopefully my MRI report will be in. My "real doc" is in Minnesota, so I am not sure what will happen beyond getting the results of it.

You'll note that I didn't mention Lucy's mishap (even though I was cited for laughing.........) In defense, I didn't laugh until after I picked Lucy up and she was already laughing (so was the homeless man behind us, the Penn State girls who were collecting for "Kids with Cancer" and just about everyone else who was in Times Square at that time!!!)::lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Let's celebrate that February is almost here (one month closer to summer!)
:dance3:

I don't think I can EVER hang out with ANY of you again:sad2: - this falling is a problem:scared1: ....WHY doesn't it happen to me anywhere else (oh, yea, I did slide down the hill, outside my office, in the mud two weeks ago:sad: )...those sidewalks in NYC are hard! my knees are getting too soft.
OK, picture this, I go down:faint: , i look across the street at Ken, who is laughing at me, I look up at JoAnn and she is practically 'you know what in her pants', and poor Jess and Tara, they looked so concerned. BUT, the saddest thing about the fall....5 minutes earlier I was holding a FRESH cup of Starbucks coffee, and then when I fell, SPLAT:surfweb: ....that was the saddest part of the whole fall. (one day I will admit to ALL of you why I fell, won't I Ken).....THEN, when i finally get across the street, these young girls, who were collecting for cancer (normally I am the FIRST person to donate to cancer) have the NERVE to ask me for a donation....while I'm limping away.
You know Lynn, the naked cowboy wasn't there, but I can always entertain:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Today was a good day for Tyler - he had a two-hour delay...he needed to sleep in. Bob was also home today....he is STILL not feeling well from this cold (4 days old):worried:

I really miss Briana and was so sorry she wasn't there for me:sad:
Always happy to see my Alex, though. Maybe I'll get to see her "in action" again at the end of July, beginning of August - I hope so.

OK, I'm ready for another round of NYC, anytime::yes::  .....Jenny, we are ready to book a hotel in July, if we can join you, we really wanna see Mary Poppins.:cool1: :rotfl2:

Well, as it stand now, we are coming to NYC to see Lucy fall down:lmao: ....oops, no, I mean to see the Reds play in July. They play the Mets July 12, 13 and 14 at 7:10 and the 15th at 1:10. Then, we will see the Yankees hopefully on the evening of July 16th. We will then head up to the Boston and Cooperstown areas. No dates/plans beyond going to the city and Reds games have been planned. Mark has the theory that in NYC he will be at the ball park. What we do (the kids and I) is really whatever we want. We don't have to go with him (but I DO love my baseball) all the games, but that's where he'll be!! He's not touristy, as he proved on the cruise. Anyway, we'll keep you up when we figure it out. Things are a little complicated right now here, so we are just living on the edge!:offtopic:

Now, just so you know. We are going to Chicago in April, but this is strictly a baseball trip. We plan on doing NOTHING else. I know we all talked about meeting there. I hope no one gets their feelings hurt, but if we are all to meet, I cannot have the temptation of Reds baseball looming over me. SORRY!!!! Plus, April is risky weather wise and I still might back out if it's not "comfortable" up there!:worship: Don't give up on that idea. We need to plan it so Wrigley isn't calling me to support "my boys"!!!:rotfl2:

JoAnn....when you saw Barry Manilow in Vegas, was it at the Hilton? Did you sit in the lower or upper level? Fill me in. I booked a little surprise trip for Mark and I the 15th-18th of February and I want to see him. He will be in town that weekend. Little did I know that the NBA All-Star game is in LV that weekend too!!! :rolleyes2 I am not a big fan of the NBA, but it sure drove prices up.

Hey fellow Barry Manilow fan (say it proudly!!).....I was on the first floor at the Hilton.........I don't really remember a second floor...........I think it's pretty much a one floor show............it's not a big theatre and it's truly one of my favorite concerts of all time, he sounded fantastic!! Definitely go!!! Great plan.........definitely the highlight of my trip out there last year!!!:cool1:

Lucy, you are so funny, you don't even have to fall to get laughs.........stop falling! The PS girls put me over the top too!!! (Didn't miss the Naked Cowboy, BTW)

We're certainly not hurt about Chicago.........I still want to get there but this is turning out to be a busy spring with all our soccer and daughter visits (and marathons!!) Anyone excited about the SB? You know it's right where Tara is now living and she's working the game (at a Sports Bar!!!)

I can't help but to be "caught up" in all the Super Bowl stuff. Besides Rex Grossman being a native son, the Colts are only 50 miles from here, so it's all blue here! We are having a teamwork celebration this week. Anyone "caught" showing teamwork at school gets their names in a drawing and can win Colts stuff. We have "Super Blue Friday" also. I have NOTHING Colts, but will be a good sport in participating. My class is tailgating Friday and we did all kinds of internet research playing to be researchers for Fox Sports. They loved it!

Our neighbor girl, who works with Mark, cheered for the Colts every since college. She decided to hang it up and didn't try out this year. Mark said she's really sad since all her girlfriends stuck with it and are going to the Super Bowl. I guess it's going to be a big model agency recruiting time. Since the BEars don't have cheerleaders it's all the Colt's girls! She is married and it was starting to be quite a chore to drive to Indy several times a week AND do all the appearances too. A couple of years ago, she represented the Colts at the Japan Bowl. All expenses paid by the NFL and a lot of "loot" to bring home. Jewelry, etc.

Jenny - you come to NYC and spend a little time with us, and I will accommodate anything you want and need:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
(as long as there is someone to help pick me up....I MAY need to bring a pair of Depends for JoAnnsie though:rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

BARRY MANILOW I LOVE Barry Manilow, always have, in fact, I have ALL his records (does anyone remember what a record is?:rotfl: :rotfl: )....you lucky girls.  pixiedust:

NO interest, at all, in this football SB, but I know that doesn't surprise anyone...in fact, it IS the best night of the entire YEAR to go out to a restaurant...noone on the road, noone in the restaurant (bars are filled!).

Hey all! I spoke to Tara last night.................you know she's down in Miami..........her restaurant is right on Ocean Drive and on Thursday, Beyonce will be having a concert RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from Tara's restaurant............the CBS morning show IS FILMING RIGHT IN HER RESTAURANT ON THURSDAY!! It's called the Clevender, BTW! Also, John Legend and the Indigo Girls are going to be performing IN HER RESTAURANT this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting for her!! I'll admit, I'm jealous!!!:dance3:

I'm a little psyched for this SB because of all this excitement!!!

Oh yea, loooseee.....about the Depends comment........:scared1:

Still need to hear from Jenster about "the test" and our missing friends!!!:grouphug:

very interesting...:cool1:
but what interests me the most was.....how's the back doing..:woohoo:
tests results....??:confused3 what's shaking....??

keep us in mind for that summer fishing trip  ,: if it's really hot, in NYC...shoot down the Garden State pkwy 2 hours and we'll have your fisherman in the boat in 15 min...:yay: leave Mark in NYC at the HOT ball park....Joannski,Aliceski,Lucski,Jennyski,(Debski..??)kidski....at the Beach....Joannnnski has plenty of room for the overniter's::lmao: :lmao: We'll feed 'em all:scared1: plus anyone else I missed.... Oh,by the way, should Luccccyski feel the need to throw herself on the ground, the sand will protect her knee's,or you could tie Joannski's "depends" to the knee's for protection

OMG, I know Lucski is coming this summer (and Bob and Tyler and Brian?..............definitely plan on coming everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's really plenty of room (we could drive up to NYC and bring you down for a night and then take you back up before you go to Boston if you want, Jens):hippie:

I know Debs is dying to come down too!!!

Also, I forgot to mention this.............Tracy is definitely talking about doing the mid-May ~ June London study abroad thing..........so..............LYNN AND KEITH..............SHE'S ALL YOURS!!!!!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

this weekend! I would work there this weekend just to be around and see all the hype. Having been to some really fun sporting events, it's the hoopla that is more fun than the actual event more often than not.

As for the back..........it is feeling better. I evidentally had aggravated it and caused inflamation. Back pain will always be a daily part of my life some days worse than others, according to my g.p. and neurosurgeon. :sad2: The MRI showed a rupture (also called a bulge or slipped) disc. This disc is not a new rupture as it was spotted in an MRI two years ago. However, it did show that there was not change or greater damage than the last MRI. THat is good... I did have surgery five years ago on another disc, but this one is not causing nerve damange like it was. The other one was laying on the sciatic nerve so I was in BAD SHAPE!! I had no feeling in my foot or leg and sometimes just drug my leg around!:lmao: Worse off.....I still had Mallory in diapers!:scared1: Anyway, I will have to continue to "baby" my back. The only thing that really helps when I get really bad is a steroid injection. I had just had one in September. So, on with life...........:dance3:

The trip to NJ is quite tempting. You never know!pirate: Oh, Marshall would DIE if he knew that he could go fishing. That's all he wants to do. He wanted a fishing pole for Christmas, but I figured if he got one, I'd have to take him fishing.:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: We stuck with a tool kit! That's my kind of thing!:woohoo: Mark would get him a calculator and pocket protector!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Say, how is Alex feeling?

I can just picture Lucy now with the depends on her knees!!!:rotfl2:

I can just picture Lucy now with the depends on her knees!!!
my only solution - knee pads....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OMG - we've got to visit Bill, OMG - BOB - i know you to read this - get some days off NOW.....i can have ANY days in the summer....OMG - we must do this.....OMG:banana:    I've got to show off my Crocs to my friends, and since we won't be in WDW together THIS year, NJ would be fine (NJ, fine? never thought I'd be saying that!:cool1: :lmao: )...OK, Jenny, DO this for Marshall (and us)

I'm so glad we are discussing Jennski's back - I am SO tired of football discussion, PLEASE...it is almost summer, can't we speak about something else (joking:yay: )...like me?:rotfl2: :rotfl: :confused3

Yes!! I'll double check BUT EVERYONE WATCH THE CBS MORNING SHOW TOMORROW............(I think that's the right one) Tara said they're filming it in The Clevelander tomorrow morning...............I told her to wait on people behind the cameras!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Please try to come down this summer...............(NJ).........it is really nice there!! "The Rents" would love to have you (of course, so would I!):grouphug:  :cheer2: popcorn::  :upsidedow
