Let's just wait and see about the latest air crisis, I'm just glad they caught the plot! Contact your airline tomorrow and see what they say, Kath. So far they're saying no liquids on the flight.

I think you're right, Lynn, if you want to see NYC, it would be hard to see a show and tour around and the places you want to see are a little spread out! Deb, do you have a good suggestion for dinner (I want to celebrate DisDaddy's big day, if possible.) We will have to get a early start to see everything (oh, that's right, it's Lynn - who has amazing stamina while traveling!!) I would love to visit all those places with you. I have to talk to the "rents" about where they want to stay, I'll let you know, Lucy. Maybe we could see a show on Sunday after Lynn & Keith go to WDW.

I'm here.....whirlwind day yesterday (like that's something new! ). I was to leave at 2:45 for Cincinnati with John for the Reds/Cardinals game. M&M were staying with my mom for the night. I get a call while at UPS at 2:15 from Mark. He says, "Will you go home and pack me a change of clothes and pick me up at 4? I want to go too!!" I made Mark call my broker and tell him I had one less ticket to sell and would be at least an hour late. The guy was antsy because they were selling standing room only and he needed some tickets!!! I let Mark deal with him!!

I was glad I waited on him. He had a HORRIBLE day at work and needed the stress reducer. The Cardinals hit a grand slam in the 1st inning and I thought for sure it was over. However, one of our players hit a 2 run home run in the botton of the ninth to win it!!! It was wild! We are NOT accustomed to sell out crowds at Reds games and it was unbelievable. People were giving high fives to each other all the way out the gates to complete strangers!!!!! Of couse we were wound up and ended up at the bar having a tottie to wind down. We got to bed at 12:15 and Mark had to get up at 5 a.m. to get ready for work. I jumped up at 5:45 and drove him back to work. What would my life be without all this action???? I bet we all go to bed early tonigh!

Debi and Alex I have thought about you guys all morning. I am so proud of the U.K. for their work in thwarting this plot... Alex, you will be fine. Put your faith ahead of you. You WILL get home safely.

Debi I gave Lucy your work number and a message for Alex concerning her "helpers". Make sure she get it!!!

Anyone else want to take a shot at the "Back to School teacher" for next week?? If you remember, I did NOT tease you guys in May because I know what comes around goes around!!

All this talk of NYC, tours and shows is KILLING ME FOLKS! Keep talking though... You guys will have a BLAST!!!!!!! I am so disappointed that I won't get to see Lynn and Keith (and the rest of you). AND the ressurection of the "Frog Shirt"!! Remember I WAS THERE when he brought it to fame in the Carlos and Charlie's store in Matzalan!!!

Oh, Jenny, I've always wanted to marry Tony Blair - now I really LOVE that man.

I am in my end of the summer rush, of work, guess I stayed on the boards WAY too much at the beginning of the summer - NOW, today, I'm news addicted....

Don't EVEN talk to me about next year and my vacation....I am NOT talking about it right now. Driving 19 hours to Florida for 10 days is sounding really, really fun to me. Bob's suggestion is one I really like - take The Magic to Hawaii!

I thought Alex was taking the train, was it just her car? From what I heard they're being extra careful with check in luggage, no liquids including shampoo, hair gel, etc. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHEN YOU CAN DEB!

I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW, I waited for your first day, Jenny for a show of support! I have so much to do when I get there!!

Hey everyone, I havent wrote in awhile but Im still in school, almost done I can't wait until it's over. Hows is everyone? I hope you all are good. Alex comes home tomorrow and i CANT wait. The whole thing with the airlines and stuff is getting me a little nervous but i know God is watching her, he has to get her home safe to me so we can fight again We had pretty bad thunderstorms here today, and are still having them. Tomorrow I have a s16 party to go to which im looking foward to Talk to everybody soon

Alex will be flying home tomorrow morning. Her flight is scheduled to leave at 11, Continental, you know I will be tracking it. Right now is probably the safest time to fly, and we know that God will get her home safe to us, He has to. It's time for the mouse to be back in her own house.

I just want to thank you guys for all your calls and concerns today. Lucy and Bob - Thank you so much for your offer to drive down to Fla with me to pick her up, I don't know too many people who would do something like that.

All day today, I kept thinking what I did to deserve such friends like all of you. There is an Elton John song that goes "I'm thankful, so thankful, I have more than I'm allowed." That is the way I fell about you guys. It's amazing the people you meet along the road of life when you weren't really looking...

Jenny - Alex's little "helpers" will be well taken care of, thank you...

Lucy - I promise I will call you from the airport as soon as I let Alex out of my arms and we head down to pick up her luggage...then maybe you can relay for me...

Lynn and Keith - Now as far as October, we are up for anything, I am planning on taking the day off, not sure about Micco, but the girls should be around, and maybe they will tag along with us. We can go all day and all night, but I think a show and seeing all those things may be a little too much. I am thinking of maybe Peter Luger's in Brooklyn for dinner, maybe Captain Nemo can get us ressies there (sorry Allie and Bri - probably not your cup of tea for dinner).

Did a couple of SB pages since last night, from our trip. Did a page of the "Stop Light Bar" and our Seqway tour. I am probably going to make a Disney book of all our trips down this year, so many pictures of the Mouse!!!

I will keep you posted on our little traveler and let you know when she touches down safe and sound.

Flights from Heathrow nearly all cancelled. I'm so pleased these people were caught before they had a chance to carry out this atrocity. The news says their plans will have been seriously hampered but they cannot assure us that there is not more of the team who will still try and carry out their mission, there is talk that it was due to take place on the 5th anniversary of 9/11. How sick is that!
Not much fun flying with no hand luggage, to be honest I don't often use much on the flight but I ldo ike to know my tissues, moisturiser etc are available and I don't go anywhere without a book, still if if keeps us all safe and thwarts the plans of these evil people I'll live with it. I asked Keith how he felt about flying to the states in Oct he said what will be will be...
The thought of liquid bombs is scary but the technology has been around for a while, I dread to think what will be next, but I guess all we can do is continue to live our lives and do the things we want to otherwise if we live in fear I guess they've won.
So Alex come home safely, I can't wait to see you all in Oct.
Jenny have a great start to your school year, it sounds like you've had an awesome summer.
Joann how much longer do you have? I have 3 more weeks but as Principal I have been in several times this week and I have some interviews to conduct as well in that time.

I am thrilled that you are taking a day off for us I know we'll get real insider knowledge now, I'm quite happy to leave everything in your hands, I always believe in listening to local knowledge when I'm travelling, I'd love to spend time with your girls and Micco as well but I totally understand if they have other things on that weekend.
We'll be thinking of Alex flying home tomorrow.

Wow! I love having friends from around the world!! I must say the Brits continue to impress me with the cool way they handle everything!

I spoke to Dad today and he said he would enjoy touring NYC and going to dinner with everyone................so...................any restaurant that you think would be good would be fine with me. His real birthday is on the 15th but my brother is planning a surprise party for his wife that weekend for her 40th birthday so this NY trip will be special for him! I have to pick a hotel which would involve the least amount of touring around b/c fatigue may be an issue if we do a lot. As the time gets closer we'll make final plans...I'll try to get the younger two girls to join us if possible (Tara will be living in Miami by then!)

Thx for asking, Lynn, I'll have to start working ALOT next week until my room is ready, my first day is in two weeks! I'll admit, I'm starting to get a little psyched about school (as I always do every year!)

PLEASE POST AS SOON AS YOU CAN ONCE ALEX ARRIVES!!!!! Luce, you're so sweet but I feel good about Alex's safe arrival....... Best wishes to Kathy who will travel on Saturday, I believe!

Spoke with Allie about 20 minutes ago, she was on her way to drop her car off, and then heading to the airport. A very sad day for her, leaving the happiest place on earth. She will have a safe trip today, the weather is perfect, and by 2:00 she should be in NY. Bri just left for school, only a few more days. Will keep you all posted on Allie's arrival.

YES, today should be the safest day to travel...honestly, I'll also be praying while Allie is in the air. AND, Kathy, you too, it has to be very safe to travel right now, but, for me, I'm staying home right now.

Also will be Bob and Lucy's anniversary dinner - Oct. 20 - 22 years....
can you believe he kept me around THAT LONG?!!!

Have a dentist appt. at 8:30 - going in late - should be at work by 9:00 -
not my favorite place. Dentist and flying are my #1 fears, although
i was becoming very comfortable flying....the key word here: WAS

Bri: your sister is coming home and you are going to a sweet sixteen party - COOL - have a great time. Can't wait to be with you in October - I can't tell Tyler you girls are running around with us, or he will definitely want to come along...Tyler LOVES NYC. Saw yesterday they will never again open the Statue of Liberty's crown - so glad Tyler and I had the opportunity to climb it years ago....I was never so stiff in my entire life the next day after climbing all those steps.

I was just thinking (I do my best thinking in the morning) - as much as we want to see a show, maybe we should just tour, since Keith and Lynn have never seen the sights and they can see shows in London. I'm game for anything, as long as it is with you guys.

DEBI: I feel the same way about this group - it is so special, our friendship - YES, we would have driven down with you guys, in a heartbeat, to get that girl home. She'll be fine, and I'll post as soon as I hear from you, ok?

Debi Wouldn't John think he was "cool" if he were running around with those girls in NYC?? He nas never been there and really wants to go sometime. I think he would be as hooked as I am. But, there's the reality. I am excited about going to Florida, but we do that a lot. I have thought that a trip like that would be a nice Christmas present for me.....

We were so beat from the late night Wed./early morning yesterday that Mark went to bed at 6 and I went at 8:30!! I'm getting old.............. I actually beat Lucy to bed!!!

My room is not ready and well, I'll just have to do my best. I tried to do a couple of things yesterday, but kept getting interrupted by my kids. I don't blame them for not wanting to be there. I might have to summons my mother this weekend for help!

Mark and John will go to the Bengals/Redskins game Sunday night. Since it's 8 p.m. and I have to be at work at 8 a.m. I will skip it. It's only preseason. It will be on national TV...watch the end zone for them!!!! We are about 20 rows off the field, so you might catch a glance!

I anxiously await Allie's return. I know that her faith will take her safely home to her parents and loving sister! and with a little help from "mommy's little helpers"!

Lynn you should be proud right now. What a great job the Brits did! It makes me proud to know we have friends like you guys!

I am working on my photos. Anyone want copies of our stuff together? I can burn a CD if you would like..
