Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

Well, I am awake, but Mark & John had a LATE night! Mark called up at 10 last night to tell me the Reds and Brewers were taking the field in 15 minutes. M&M were asleep, so John jumped up and they ran to the stadium. Next thing I know, it's 1:45 a.m. and Mark and John are coming in, quite loudly(not a smart move). I guess Ken Griffey hit a HR in the bottom of the 9th to win and of course I missed it!!!!!!!! So, only one game tonight, then off to WDW in the morning!!!

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary. We've already exchanged our gifts, so it will be uneventful. I am so excited about my WICKED weekend that Mark got me!!! We go the weekend of Aug. 25th. At least that gives me something to "look forward to" when I have to leave everyone at the endo of our reunion (who's coming to Chicago??? )

Thanks to Lynn and DisDaddy (squared!!) for checking in! I hope all goes well, Lynn with your house guests. I wish you were coming here to meet us. I cannot believe DisDaddy is not joining this party! Who will take your place? Certainly not my Mark!!!! I guess I will have to dance with JoAnn and Debi!!!

Debi I am so glad you got your a/c going finally. Hopefully things will start to come together for you soon in the shop. Is Micco still AWOL next weekend??

I have to keep Lucy informed since she is off line (it's killing her!). So, anything I need to tell her guys just let me know! I will check in periodically today and first thing tomorrow before we leave. I am not sure when I will log on after that!

JoAnn - Glad you got your power back. I can't believe you were w/o for that long...Some people in Queens are still w/o power since Monday, I don't know what we would do...

DisDaddy and Lynn - Thanks for checking in, we will miss you both next w/e...but are looking forward to October. Lynn, anything you need to send to Lucy, you can send along to me and I will gladly bring it to her.

Jenny - Too bad you missed the fun last night, but glad you guys are enjoying your vacation already. I can't wait to leave. As of right now, looks like Micco is not coming at all, but you never know, sometimes he is full of surprises...It will not be the same without him though, but I am going to try to enjoy my time off with my girls and you guys.

I think I will have to give Lucy a call today and see how she is doing in that "Other Park". I wonder if she rode the Hulk yet.

Today is a long day at work, 12-5 at the shop, I am doing a class at 3. Then I come back tonight for Crop night from 7 to 1 am. Then only 3-1/2 more days of work after that and we are off...I can't wait to see you guys.

Does anyone know if they have a microwave at BWV?

Oh, who is doing Segway again, I can't wait for that too, should be real funny.

Yes, my pop killed me at the casino. (We had a celebratory dinner for Tara's birthday.) He couldn't lose no matter what he played (I, of course, lost again!) Did anyone notice how he continues to misspell my name!!!!!

Off to the game. The kids took me for LaRosa's pizza and Graeter's ice cream (Oprah's favorite) for my anniversary dinner!!

I WILL NOT be able to sleep tonight! I will be so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! The Segways will be a blast!!!!!!!!! I hope Micco reconsiders. I'd hate for him to miss all the fun......remember 1st drink's on Mark!!!!!! Trust me, getting a drink out of an accountant.....that's good!

My kids' rooms are clean!!! I spent 5 hours in Owen's room yesterday and 4 hours in Amy's room today. I took 2 garbage bags of toys out of each room. Owen hardly noticed. He bought my "reorganizing" story. Amy clued in and guarded her room yesterday and offered some resistance today but we got it done. We're probably going to list the house for sale in August since the real estate market is so slow right now it may take 6-8 months to sell. I dread having to keep the place show ready but I'll do whatever it takes to get it sold. Now I've just got to pack up and hit the road for Williamsburg this afternoon. I'll try to check in throughout the week from the Williamsburg library while Owen is in class. He's taking "Science with Seuss" this week. He took a chess class last week which was for 3rd-5th graders even though he's only going into 2nd grade, but he enjoyed himself despite coming in last place in the class tournament. He took a chemistry class called "It's Alive" during the first week. He learned all about the periodic table and atomic weights, neutrons, protons, electrons, etc. Now I've got to get him caught up on his summer homework assignments. He's about 2 weeks behind and I want to get him through all of it before we leave for California, etc. on 12 August as we don't get back until 1 September.

WTG, Kathy! I wish I could say that I don't have to clean out my kids' rooms but unfortunately I'M STILL DOING IT!

It's a great feeling before going away to get something like that done.....I'm planning on attacking my house next week!

Those camps sound really cool especially since they're held in Williamsburg. One more week!

Bri and Kourtney are not doing the Segway with us, they are choosing to sleep in. Their loss. And if only Micco were coming, oh well, I guess it will just be Alex and me.

Spoke with Bob and Lucy early this afternoon, they were already in Epcot and were glad to leave that "other park". They can't wait for us to get down there, I am really excited now. Promised them we would keep the thread going!

Micco and I went to see Pirates today (finally), I loved it.

Looks like we may have to go see at Toon Town on Sunday!

Only 3-1/2 more days of work, I can't wait to see you all.

I am sooo ready! Briana's friend Kourtney is already packed, she is so excited! I will probably pack tomorrow.

Wish you guys were going to be there Thursday night, but I will have to wake Lucy up and I am sure Jenny will be ready for a margarita or 2 (maybe Bob too).

Briana gets her report card tomorrow, and then tomorrow night they have P/T conferences, which we plan on attending. She is doing pretty good. She took a day off Thursday because she didn't feel well, and then had a test on Friday in both subjects. The day off did affect her grade because the stuff they learned on Thursday, she didn't know. I hope she doesn't miss any tests this Friday by taking off, but that's it, she is only allowed 2 days. They are actually off on the 31st so that worked out for her benefit. So no more days off for her, even if she is on her death bed!

Like I said before............when I start COUNTING the days until school STARTS...........you know it's pretty bad!

Spoke to Alex today, as well as Lucy. Seems like the Fisher and Williams family had a private meeting with yesterday. Needless to say, Lucy cried. So now she can't bust my chops anymore about getting so emotional. She said she doesn't want to push the week, but can't wait till we all get there at the end of the week. It is going to be so much fun. I am really looking forward to staying at BWV (because I've never stayed there before) and just the fact that we will all be at the same location makes it all so much easier!

Wonder how Kathy is making out in Williamsburg.

Well, JoAnn and I are keeping this thread alive...somehow...barely. Get ready to dance, girlfriend!

Hey Debi, this is hard work!!!

Thx for the update from our wayward and MISSING friends! Hmphf, I'm glad they saw MM, however, we miss them here! Hopefully, they're all having a blast!!!

I just got home and my house is a mess, I hope I can clean it all by Friday! I have to clean out the frig and maybe buy some food as well (remember the power was out for three days!)

Kath must be exhausted from everything.....hang in there!

About 6:30 last night I got a frantic phone call from Alex. Her best friend down in Disney is Stacey. Stacey's father was killed in a plane crash yesterday. I don't have any details, but we think it may have been a small plane because we have not seen it on the news up here, although Alex says it was on the news down there.

She was hysterical, now she is worried about us coming down, plus she does not want to fly home. I feel so awful, it is kind of putting a damper on the trip now. Stacey is a great kid, we really love her. I will miss seeing her this w/e. I also got to spend time with her mother in January when the kids first met, and she is a wonderful woman. I am so sorry for their loss, it is such a tragic thing.

Just read the article and news story that Alex sent me and it was a Korean war-era F-86 Sabre jet military aircraft. He was on his way to an air show in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin when he was leaving from Hickory Regional Airport in N.C. Such a shame!
