I'm not sure if you all saw my other threads on the main DCL page, but the port departure times have changed (I spoke to DCL yesterday). They are now: PV and Mazatlan, 5pm (Cabo stayed the same). The CM said he was going to refer my question "up" because I pointed out that I didn't understand HOW that would work...I know the PV Dolphin swim has a time slot which begins at 3pm and is 3.5 hours long (which means you're back to this ship at 6:30, which poses a problem if the ship leaves at 5pm ;) ). Likewise, the Folkorico and Beach Break tour in Maz leaves at 10 and is 7 hours long. He also was going to inquire why the DCL website has the 7 and 7:30 departure times listed. I also asked when the schedule would be out for when the special nights will be and he told me they expect to have that info out next week, so I'll keep you all posted on that. That's the scoop! :teeth:

Thanks for doing your homework LiserAnn! I haven't been lurking much lately, so I am glad you pointed this out.

I think we are planning on biting the bullet" and doing the Dolphin Excursion. DH told me that it is one of those things that if the kids and I want to do it, then go for it!

I had some outpatient surgery today, so my visit here is short. I have slept most of the day! That's not something I am used to...... I bet tomorrow I will be up and running like usual!!! :moped:

Thx Liser for your updates!! Our plans have changed and now we will be visiting CA in March. My youngest has a soccer event so we all are going. We are planning to visit Rodeo Drive, etc. and then we'll see what else. We are staying in Santa Monica. If anyone has good tips, please let me know!

Our trip is coming closer......... :hourglass

Thanks for the info Lisa I did see the other thread. i already had the early times on my confirmation. It would be lovely yo spend some more time at each port. Although The really short day at gabo doesn't seem to have changed.
Jenny i hope you're feeling more with it when you wake up today, I have a particularly odd reaction to anathestics (sp) myself They leave me really high and bouncing off walls then 3 days later I crash!!!
Jo ann we are staying in Santa Monica for 2 nights pre cruise any info gratefully received. We have ressies at the Shangri La Hotel but if you find a good place let us know.

No school today so I'm off to visit my mum in London, sun is shining but it's really cold they're threatening snow for Monday!!

Lynn-I meant to tell you, we're doing Randi's Happy Horses in Maz! Did I recall you saing you were also? Randi seems so nice!

Have a great weekend everyone!
Lisa

Lisa

I have us booked with Randi as well. I really want to do this, but we might have to see the $$ with doi ng the dolphins as well. She does seem extrememly sweet. I like doing business with folks like that! :flower:

Lynn

I feel much better today. A little tired, but fine. DH was a peach yesterday taking care of me and the kids. He actually cooked me some soup (after asking how). That is the first time I have seen him cook in 11 years!! (10 years of marriage). What a hoot!

JoAnn

I see you are going to CA. Is the South Beach trip off? I saw both on your ticker and wondered. How fun to get to do that!

Jenny-that's great you're doing Randi's as well. I think it will be wonderful and different. Although, I'm anxious to see how my then 3 year old will do. Randi said if he doesn't want to do on a horse by himself he can go with me and we won't have to worry about paying $45 for a fourth horse, which I thought was sweet to let me decide that at the last minute! See seems really nice.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. My DH isn't much of a cook either, knows how to open a can though.... :rotfl:

Yes Hubby and I are booked to go with Randi, I just re read my post I'm sure you all realised I meant Cabo not Gabo!!!! :rotfl:

Tee hee...I thought maybe it was a new port of call I missed out on.... :rotfl:

Hey all, I'm so PSYCHED!! I lost this week at WW. I was having a REALLY tough week and I hung in there with 5 million setbacks and YET I lost at the end of the week!!!!

Only about 50lbs. to go now! :goodvibes

(JFS....what's your first name, again??) Yes! We are going on two trips in March...it's long story but I will be scoping out the Santa Monica beach area, the DDs are looking forward to shopping, etc. My youngest and my DH will be going to a soccer tournament that we found out about last minute. Fortunately, we can do both b/c we have off school that week.
This way we can really focus on DL this summer. ( Hey Lynn, I'll let you know what we do while we're there!) We planned the other South Beach trip a long time ago and cancelling costs more than just going so..........you have to do what you have to do sometimes!!! :flower:

It's been a really long winter, so we're celebrating Spring in a BIG way!!

Thanks to all for everyone's encouragement...how's everyone else doing this week??? :grouphug:

Well done Joann  yes please report on all Santa Monica activities and accomodation
I'm having a plateau sorta week... but....
In the UK we have a whole chain of big department stores called Allders that have gone bust in the last few weeks. So yesterday my mum and I went to explore the sale and found a gorgeous red floor length evening gown, now it is 3 sizes too small for me, but when we saw the price I decided to risk it. So now I have a big incentive!!!! I'll try and convert as I go but it was £125 nearly $250 originally and I bought it for £36 just about $70 What do you think!

Joann-awesome recovery!!! Congratulations, you must feel great! :cool1:

Lynn-I'd say it was worth the risk with it being such a great deal, $70 from $250 is an awesome deal. I've seen some good deals too, and I hesitate to buy because I'm just not sure what size I'll be or how much weight I'll lose. But if I saw a bargain like that I'd probably jump on it.

Lisa

This is Albill.... Yes Joann's wayward parents.... My wife being Alice,me being Bill... I've spent much of the afternoon catching up... I must say you folks are outstanding....!! other than concerns with WW, I've loved hearing about the UK, Indiana,Suffok, Southern Cal,Kutztown...and who ever I missed...I wonder how many folks are "lurking" out there.... jump in, I'm sure these folks would welcome you....What a terrific thread ...More about us later... besides I wanted to "toast" my loving daughter....!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :love2: :love2:

I've been lurking from home....we had a loss in our family,
my husband's mother, on Thursday - it was a surprise to
us....she was in the hospital for a fall, then all of a sudden
she is gone. My MIL was a disney nut also - we took her
with us to DW quite often, she loved it. I remember the
time she threatned my boys if they start to fight with each
other, she made them ride It's a Small World over and over
and over. We will deeply miss her.
My weigh-in on Tuesday was also very successful - I FINALLY
reached a ten pound mark (losing 2 lbs.). We haven't been eating
very well this weekend - so many wonderful, wonderful friends
bringing us food and desserts. We are blessed with so many
friends.
Can't believe we FINALLY heard from Bill. I'm enjoying reading all
of your threads, my friends. - Lucy

So sorry to hear of your family's loss.
Glad to hear you have friends and family to help you rthrough this difficult time.
Lynn

Lucy-I'm sorry to hear about your loss...any loss is painful but unexpected is so hard because you think, it was just a fall and suddenly the person is gone . I'm sorry for your family. But hopefully the cruise will cheer you all up. Group hug :grouphug:

Hey Lynn, it sounds like a good goal, good luck with the dress!

So sorry to hear your news Lucy (but I'm happy about your WW news!) I'll have to try the Small World idea!

:grouphug:

Yes, Dad is back on the prowl....watch out everyone!!

Ok, let's all brace ourselves with perhaps the last bit of winter,,.....keep strong as we wait and starve!! :confused3

I'm at work for a short time this morning.....my desk is a mess!
I'll be back in touch after Tuesday.....
I feel like you are all my friends already, before meeting any of you....
not sure about this Bill guy.... :rotfl:
