Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

Sorry, Grey's was excellent....loved so many of the oneliners.......we have to get together soon, I need some Lucy time!!! Things are crazy around here......end of season for Jess.....high pressure this week....Tara is on the mend and VERY happy in Chicago......Tracy ending this semester and then LEAVING ME FOR ROME five days later.......I'm not going to be able to handle not visiting her!!!!!!!!

We have graduation ahead of us and about 6 weeks of school.........

BTW, where and how is Lynn and Keith.......WE NEED UPDATES!!!:confused3

The flight was bumpy getting out of Indianapolis and bumpy coming down here in Atlanta, but other than that the flight was fine. Mark and I were not together and I had this elderly lady who was a native of Brazil next to me. She was very sweet, but she was constantly touching me and had an accent so thick that I could hardly understand what she was saying. I hope I didn't agree to something!!:rotfl:

Beautiful evening at the ballpark. The game sucked but aside that we had a great time. The weather was PERFECT. This park is the top of our list of the friendliest ushers, food service, etc. AMAZING!!! Our usher was the neatest lady and when we complimented her service, she brought us each a big bag of peanuts!!:cool1: We asked her for her name and boss' name because she deserved a compliment. She was estatic! popcorn:: Can't wait to go back today!

I didn't bring the laptop, but they have a pc available in the consierge (sp?) room, so I am sitting here watching CNN and drinking coffee.

We love the KY Derby and were so sad to see the events with the filly. Friday night Marshall was playing "My Old Kentucky Home" for Mark on the piano to celebrate the running of the derby. We only live 1 1/2 hours out of Louisville, so it is popular at home.

I'll check in later, or when I return home on Monday!:dance3:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEN!!!:flower3:

How are Lynn and Keith doing???:confused3

Thanks for the update, it sounds really great!!! I love hearing all this "midwest" news, we're trying to be more "aware" of what's going on around our country and the world. That's one thing I've learned from our friendship with Jenster and Lynnster! I apologize for Tara's comments (it's my fault b/c we never took her there.)

Where's Lucy??? For Ken's birthday, I bought him some bbq condiments for our beach picnic, BTW! I've sent all the greetings to him and we're meeting the Rents and his mom for dinner tonight.

 Well, I have to go wrap gifts.......:woohoo:

how the HECK do you wrap ketchup?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Glad Jenny is having fun, I'm not:sad2:
(ah, let's feel sorry for Lucy again:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

I was also teary-eyed when I left Chicago, but for a different reason - I cried because I HAD to go home to the children:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am home....and hit the ground running!;) I have the blog updated too! I brought home all the laundry from the weekend and have been working on it. But, I didn't sleep a wink last night, so I am whipped!

So, our morning started out a little ify. We took the Marta (like the subway/train) all weekend. We took it back out to the airport this morning. I went super early with Mark as his flight was at 8:30 (to Dallas) and mine was at 10:05 to Indianapolis. We got within an eye shot of the airport and Mark discovered ALL of our cash was in the safe back at the hotel!!:scared1: I checked my luggage and went all the way back into the city (about 20 min. one way) to retrieve the money. Mark went to Dallas w/o any cash! To make matters worse, he had already lost his debit card before we left home this weekend!:rolleyes1 This is SO UNCHARACTERISTIC of him! YOu bet I will remember these episodes and when he left his wedding ring at BWV in March. Luckily we were just one exit west when he discovered that!

How is Keith doing???

It appears from Tara's blog that she had a great time in Chicago. The pictures were so good!

The last time and only time, I left Chicago was "New Years Eve 1959" :goodvibes :lmao: :rotfl: ...it was cold as hell:woohoo: I was sick:sick: .....but I was discharged from the Army, heading home to my "sweety"... and planning to continue the "HoneyMoon":rolleyes1
Which became known as "Jimmy"....woohoo...!!

I never took in the "sights"...all I know it was cold, snowy, and that I was discharged and only had change in my pocket,a new baby (Tommy)to get to know,...life sure takes fuuny turns....:dance3:

OMG, what a story, the only good thing was that you had the time to go back! Anyway, I was up until 1am......last night, too:scared1: .......major insomnia......all I could think about was that big ocean and my Tara on the airplane......I emailed her with some ranting in the middle of the night, she wrote me back at 5am with a sleepy, "I made it to London "and she went to sleep..........I can only take so much of all this..........:scared:

Keith update?????????

Thank you Jenny, my life was such a fairytale.......princess: Too funny, Lu, great comment........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So what's everyone up to, today?? Early meeting at school and then off for a doctor appointment..........been cleaning all day......it's hopeless!!:confused3

Hope all are well......say hi when you get the chance!!:wave2:

Watched 'my baby' today for the last time until the semester begins again at the university[in the fall]. The words she is constantly saying are: Bob and Bry, everything is Bry, Bry, Bry....she likes to go up to his room, knock on his door and get him up - of course he doesn't mind when she does it. Bob was home today too - she had TONS of attention.

I work study hall tomorrow and Thursday at the high school and on Friday I'm volunteering at the high school for the music program. The kids don't have school on Friday - our district closes on prom day?!!!:confused3 :confused3

Ah, Ms. Joannster, don't talk to ME about doctors - I've seen enough in the last few months, and still have some to see!:scared1:

Cleaning - I can find better things to do:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I actually worked my one and only full day this week today! I will be in a meeting on Wed. afternoon. THursday Marshall and I (and maybe JOhn) have appointments on THursday and Mark is having a "procedure" on Friday. He is still in Dallas until late tomorrow night.

Son #1 is really getting to me....he's hitting a low point. I think even his dad is frustrated!:rolleyes1

Hello everyone
We escaped for the long weekend we went to Cornwall which is the long south west penninsula of England ( bit of geography there for those challenged in that department) oh sorry Tara doesn't read this does she!!!!

We walked a lot and had several cream teas, a very South West Tradition.

Thank you for your concern Keith has survuved the surgery and we are hopeful that it was successful, we'll know in a few weeks. He says it's not as painful and the bruising and swelling have subsided now.

Now Joann, don't be cross but while you are here we may be there, some friends of ours have a rental villa in Orlando , several members of their family have pulled out of the holiday last minute and all we need to do is find the air fare, surprisingly in this climate there are some reasonable fares left, so we are debating what to do. If we do go we won't be in London on the 25th but in Orlando instead!

However Keith still hasn't got a sniff of a new job so it may be more sensible to save our pennies but hey when were we ever sensible!!
