My Night Gown
fp2813_b.jpg

Wow - your dress is a similar style to mine - and the night gown is gorgeous too - I take it that's an evening ball gown rather than the one your going to sleep in - which is the english definition of nightgown!

Can't work out how to put in pictures so here's a link to mine - it's dress number 01 and you can click on it for a close up: http://www.carismalimited.co.uk/weddings/bridal-designers-maggiesottero-montage.html

Ooo I love looking at these dresses and it's so odd how many are similar to mine as I've never seen a dress like it before - but it reminded me of the ball gowns worn in all the classic Disney romances :0)

:cheer2:

I am not sure how to post pictures from my computer, but I would love to show all of you the dress styles I like (I haven't actually bought a dress yet!)

OMG, I LOVE your dress, it is totally my style! I'm sure you will look amazing in it!

Thanks Snow White:) I had planned on getting a fitted simple gown, but somehow the the princess look seemed appropriate;-)

I think this is another thread that needs to be permenantly at the top of the DIS wedding and honeymoon forum! It's great to see everyone's dresses!

Well I couldn't convince DH to have a Disney wedding, but since we were just married, I thought maybe you'd all let me post anyway?

We did everything a little different. :teeth:

Can I play too? :teeth: I didn't get married at Disney, but I *did* have a Cinderella theme and Disney music as my prelude. I got married on March 26, 2005 (a little over a week ago!) These pictures don't show the beading on the dress but it gives you the general idea. Sorry so big--- I can't get it sized right!

I haven't even gone dress shopping yet (that's this summer's task!) but these are the styles that I like and know will look right on me.

As much as I love the princess style and think it would go well with getting married at Disney, I am only 5'2 on a good day and very tiny, so I think I would get lost in it! Plus, we were originally planning on a Mexico wedding, so I fell in love with the beachy style. I love seeing everyone's dresses!! :teeth:

We seem to have the same physique and I thought the same way you did until I went shopping for my dress...and then I picked one of each and couldn't decide so I had my DH2B pick which one he liked better. I was VERY surprised when he picked the giant poofy dress over the more slinky revealing style. I loved both so I was glad that he got to pick which he liked better:) I don't feel lost at all...just a bit dramatic!

That's definately good to know! I was searching more tonight and I found another one I really like of the beach style:

Who knows though, I might do the same thing you do and go with the princess style, but right now I really like this style. Codie, do you have a picture of your dress? I would love to see it!

If I was going with the beach style...I would go with the second one you posted--I have a dress very similar in black and it is just awesome!
This is my dress:

I have pics of me in it from when I took the flower girls to try on their dresses (the matching ones!)...but they are in my BIL's and MIL's cameras. If I ever get them, I'll PM them over to you...

Here's mine! It's definitely princessy...I'm 5'6" and alot of the princessy dresses at David's were too short for me, so they might work for you...I'm on the lanky side, so I figured they'd put me in more of what you're looking at Tinkerbelle, but they went with it when I said I wanted poufy...and I loved nearly all of the poufy ones, except the ones that were too short because they made me look like the tooth fairy.

While you're there, if you put in 5105 you can see my tiara.

Love all the dresses girls!!

Love the dresses Cody and Aurora. Cody, if you get a chance, PM me your pictures, I loved to see them. I'll do the same once I get my dress (I'll start looking next month).

Love the dresses Tinkerbelle14! I'm glad you figured out how to post the pictures!

I'm not a Disney Bride, (we did get married in Orlando in 2002), but when I was beginning my dress shopping, I looked at the exact same dress!!! Our original plan was to get married in Las Vegas at the Venetian and this dress seemes to be PERFECT for it! But when I tried it on, alas, it didn't look quite right on me. :( I had DH look at me in it and while we both loved the dress, it just didn't look quite right. We both ended up really liking the slim style dresses instead. My mom made my dress for me in the end, but it was similar to those beachy style ones that Tinkerbelle14 posted. But I wanted a train of some kind, so my mom made one that attached to the back of my dress and it was purple! Let me see if I can find a decent picture of the ones I have online...

We do plan to renew our vows in an actual FTW. Most likely, it'll be an intimate ceremony, but I think we're shooting for our 5 year anniversary for it, so that would put us in 2007. I do plan to buy another dress for it, just not sure what one! I want a princess-y looking one though. I want those pictures in front of Cinderella's castle...lol...intimate brides can still have those, right? :)
